She Wants To Go On a What?!

{Raynare}

"M-My name is Yuuma Amano." Seeing the boy flustered when I asked for directions, I thought he figured out my identity.

Thankfully, I was overestimating a highschooler.

"I am Reo Takeda," he showed a smile. "I haven't seen you around, are you new here?"

"I-I am."

Boys are so easy. If you have a pretty face and a decent figure, they will follow you around with their tails wagging. And if you are smart enough, you can make them do whatever your heart desires.

"I am from Nagoya." I lied as it would be obvious that I am lying if I say I am from nearby.

"Oh," he looked amused. "That's quite far from here."

It was, but I didn't expect him to be asking so many questions, so I didn't prepare much before meeting him.

Usually boys fall under my spell and turn off their brains when they meet me.

But this kid is different. Maybe it is the magic inside him, or maybe it is a Sacred Gear as Mittlet says.

"I am staying with my aunt, she is from Kuoh." I made up a lie as we walked, but he still wanted to question more.

"Oh?" He seemed curious, and I did not like curious boys. "Where in Kuoh?"

"A bit ahead of the West Mall." I bought a pack of cigarettes from that place, so I remember the name.

"That's quite close to my neighborhood." He glanced at me but didn't stop. "Surprising that we haven't seen each other before, I go around the mall often."

"Y-Yeah."

He asks a lot of questions.

If not for him being a potential bearer of a Sacred Gear, I wouldn't have been entertaining his questions.

We needed Sacred Gears, and none of the Fallens hiding in Kuoh knew what kind of Sacred Gear this kid possessed, but we could all feel a sort of magical energy from him.

He didn't necessarily leak magic, but maybe it was times when he unleashed his Sacred Gear that magic spiked around him.

Magicians could be identified by us no matter how good they were at hiding or masking their magic.

So, this kid had to be a Sacred Gear possessor.

The only question left was how strong was this Gear.

"You don't look that much older than me, are you a student too?" His curiosity was annoying me, but at least he wasn't a pervert. It was tiring to be answering these many questions, but this was still better than some perverts drooling over my ass.

"I go to the girls' school right outside Kuoh."

"Hina Girls' High?" He looked surprised, "I heard that's an expensive school and they only take extremely good students."

I had no idea what I was talking about, but I just agreed with him.

I didn't even know if there was a Hina High anywhere in this place, but it didn't matter.

I just had to make him agree to following me sometime soon, and take him somewhere quiet.

And…

"We are here." He showed a bright smile, "Yamada Cafe."

I loved breaking boys, cheerful ones and nice ones.

"T-Thank you so much." Giving him a fake standing bow, an annoying show of respect that I still don't understand the need of.

"It's fine," he put his hands inside his pockets, "I guess you can go on your own now."

He was about to leave, but there was something else that I needed to do before he went.

"Well then, enjoy your day. It was nice meeting you." He turned to walk away, but before b.he could do that —I stopped him.

"W-Wait!" Putting on the flustered face that I had been carrying, I looked meekly towards his face. "I-I have something to tell you."

He looked curious, "Which is…"

"I-I didn't come here to meet anyone!" This revelation surprised him.

He looked around and saw that it was a relatively empty street. "But… didn't you say that you had a friend to meet?"

I gave him a slow nod. "I-I did, but it was a lie."

If he seemed curious before, now he looked amused. "Err… I don't think that I understand?"

This made me clench my fists, take a deep breath and look down. It was like I was mustering courage.

"I-I l-lied when I said I haven't seen you before." I didn't look up, instead I kept my eyes fixated at his feet. "I see you often going to school."

He was taken aback hearing this. "I—Why?"

"Because… Because…" I tried to sell the shy girl persona as well as I could. "I think you are very handsome!"

A flustered face, red ears and shaking fingers. It took a lot of effort to learn to do this on command, and till now it has not failed me.

"Huh?"

Even now it did.

"I have seen you before!" My eyes were still lowered. "And I have had a crush on you since then!"

I didn't see it, but I could feel his eyes widening.

He was taken aback, just as I hoped.

"I do not know what to say here…"

I finally looked up and saw his surprised expression.

"I have been following you for over a month!"

"That—"

But before he could say anything, I followed up.

"Not in a creepy way! I wasn't stalking! But I would always wait near the market whenever it was time for you to go to class and come back." I did see him come back from this route a few times. "All to have a glance at you… Please don't feel weirded out."

Surprisingly, he still had a calm voice. "I am not." Instead, he put on a smile again.

Damn he smiled a lot. Doesn't his cheek hurt?

"I am flattered." He scratched the back of his head, not cartoonishly, but maybe in a way to stabilize himself. "I don't think I ever had a girl say this to me."

"I am glad!" Immediately followed with a smile, I said. "I mean, I… am happy to be the first to say so."

And seizing that moment, I decided to say it.

"So… Will you please go out on a date with me!"

And his expression was truly priceless!

[Sometime Later — Old Building Facility]

{Rias Gremory}

"What!"

My shout echoed through the entire room, drawing everyone's attention towards me.

"Is everything alright, Rias?" Kiba asked, placing his sword that he had been cleaning.

"It's not…" Akeno frowned besides me, she too had heard what Koneko just said.

"What's wrong?" Kiba frowned, realizing that something had gone horribly.

But I had to calm myself.

I was pissed, beyond furious at those darned crows for running after the people I was protecting and especially after Reo, the boy who was a possible addition to my peerage.

"It's the Fallen," Koneko said in her expressionless voice, "They tried to contact Reo Takeda."

"Wait what?" Now Kiba too was a little annoyed. "And when?"

"Sometime ago." My rook answered, "She is trying to lure him by acting like a girl that likes him."

"That's just distasteful." Akeno scoffed, "But the crows never do anything without being disgusting."

"We have to inform Reo!" Kiba looked at me, "If they are after him, they know that he is a magician, or maybe they think he has something they can use."

"It hasn't been long since he awakened his magic. It is not possible for them to know that his magic is different in a special way… So they most likely think it is some Sacred Gear which he has." Akeno's expression darkened. "He is in danger."

"I—"

I had to call him, inform him about the danger.

But deep down, a part of me wanted not to.

It wanted to let things proceed the way they did and maybe… maybe I would have a chance to get Reo under me, in my Peerage.

If they… If they harmed him, I could always revive him as a devil.

It was distasteful but my situation was dire and I needed people with me as soon as possible.

"Rias!"

However, Reo… Reo was a nice guy and I just couldn't bring myself to get him hurt.

"Y-Yes, I will call him."

Taking a deep breath, and forgetting whatever played in my mind just a second ago, I decided to call him.

Reo was different from most people, he was… just a nice guy and I might never be able to forget myself if he got hurt because of me.

And so I did call him.

``Hello?``

He picked up very fast, must have had the phone in his pocket or close to him.

"Hey, it's Rias."

``Figured from the voice,`` He joked from the other side. ``But I didn't expect you to call me at this hour.``

I had gotten his number quite a while back, so he wasn't surprised at me having his number.

"I called because of something serious, Reo." It just wasn't time to be joking around. "Are you alright?"

``Yeah, I am.`` He sounded amused. ``But what's with the sudden question?``

"It's… Did you meet a girl today? A girl that said something like… she likes you?"

``Yeah, why?``

I took a deep breath.

"I will tell you tomorrow morning, but just be careful till now because… because she is not a human." I took a pause before continuing, "she is a Fallen Angel."

And for a long time there was only silence from the other side. For a second we thought the line got disconnected and even Akeno looked at me curiously.

But finally, after a while, his response came.

Just not the response we were expecting.

``Yeah, I know.``

What?
