35 Chapter 34: A Wolf on the Loose

The group of dragons were a mess as they tried to breathe. Especially Dulio, Lavinia, and Cleria who were magic types.

Scathach sealed their mana with her rune magic and slapped them with runes that increased the gravity on them that uses their own mana so it won't disperse.

And it also adjusts to the person's strength. So Mordred, Ise and Vali were hauling some serious weight. Every step they took was a herculean task.

"Come on! Give me another twenty laps." Scathach ordered them while holding her spear. Anyone who lazes around will have a nice hole in them.

"Hah, hah, hah, master. You're insane! This is just the first day!" Cleria complained, she wasn't really a sporty type. Travelling with Masaomi and Dulio also saved her a lot of pain from Tiamat's training regimen.

"Shut up, or do you want me to stab you?" Scathach raised her spear slightly and Cleria immediately started running quietly.

"That's what I thought, you're not here to grow stronger leisurely. You are here to be the best warriors the world has ever seen. This isn't a youth training camp." Scathach scoffed.

"Yes master!" They shouted simultaneously. Dulio wasn't faring any better either. But he pushed on because Mordred is right at the front, leading them. Even though he carried more than anyone else.

Mordred huffed and puffed, his training with Tiamat was starting to get stale. It was similar, but Scathach catered it to their respective level as much as possible.

So the better you are, the harder you will train. Which was what he just needed.

'Impressive, his lungs must be on fire. And his legs should be tearing due to the weight he carries. But Mordred is still in front of them all, a true leader.' Scathach nodded at him with a pleased expression. She respected his motivation.

"It's about drive, it's about power. We stay hungry and devour!" Ise started singing to give them a boost. Because she can't use the boosted gear right now.

"Put in the work, and take what's ours!" Vali gritted her teeth as she collapsed after finishing all the laps needed.

They dropped to the ground. "Hoh? You refuse to kneel huh?" Scathach could feel that Mordred was the most exhausted of them all.

He gave them a tailwind due to cutting the air in the front. Yet he didn't complain nor even squeak a bit during their run that could only be called hellish.

"A king does not kneel." Mordred stared at her in the eye. "Good, you can drop until you can't go on anymore. But if you kneel and doubt yourself, then it's already over." Scathach slammed her spear on the ground.

"Now, it's time for you to learn how to fight when you don't have strength to spare. This is a fight for survival, do everything you can to live." Scathach started with Mordred and he had to dodge a stab that was aimed at the middle of his chest by rolling.

'I have to preserve all of my strength.' Mordred was sweating bullets, but it would be the best decision to survive.

The others watched with squinted eyes, they wanted to stop it. But Mordred did not want to. It was his decision and his alone.

He dodged and rolled around like a sick dog, Mordred's form was getting sloppier and sloppier.

'I need to find a way to counter, she's holding back a lot.' Mordred noticed that Scathach wasn't hounding him like in their fight earlier.

So he looked around whenever she gave him a breather and he found a sharp rock.

After one of her attacks, he rolled and Mordred took it stealthily. Scathach then overreached with a thrust and he pulled on the shaft of the spear. Putting all his strength and stamina on trying to cut her jugular.

"Stop, well done. A bit late, but you would've killed me if I was an arrogant prick that was caught off guard." Scathach nodded at him.

'Setanta and my other students would've definitely died with this regimen. Even his friends that primarily use magic have amazing physiques. They would be my greatest students.' Scathach's passion for teaching slowly returned.

They were simply abnormal, she never thought that dragons would be so sturdy. Mordred even managed to give a counter while he was almost half dead due to exhaustion.

She just wanted to make them survive an encounter after they're dead tired. But he went up and beyond. Killing the attacker if it was a real altercation.

"Now, it's time for the rest of you." Scathach picked one of them and the very first was Lavinia.

She hardened her expression and started to dodge like her life depended on it.

One by one, they underwent her tortu- training. And they followed his lead. Going for a counter attack when they found an opening.

Mordred was pleased. "As expected of my kin, you noticed that she was holding back." Mordred complimented them and then he lied down to recover.

After Scathach took off the runes on their bodies though. They started recovering like mad. "Kukuku~ It seems you will be ready to train again tomorrow." Scathach was satisfied with their progression for now.

The others winced, but Mordred was on cloud nine. He wouldn't need to fear for his family's safety once they complete Scathach's training.

__Asgard__

"Odin-sama, we have an emergency." Brynhildr reported and Odin raised a brow.

"Fenrir has escaped. We suspect that this is Loki's doing." Brynhildr frowned and Odin sighed.

"Loki... That brat is still causing trouble." Odin shook his head wistfully. Loki was the trickster god. And his authority as one affects his personality as well.

He couldn't help but be an agent of chaos, causing trouble all over the 9 realms. That's why his son Fenrir was bound by Gleipnir. Because he was using Fenrir's fangs that could kill even gods as a weapon.

And when Loki was banished, he harbored great hate towards Odin and Asgard. Wanting to bring Ragnarok so he could rule the new realm that would arise from the ashes.

"Skoll and Hati has been taken away as well I presume?" Odin sighed.

"Yes all-father, the others are also blaming our guests. Saying that they were the ones who took Fenrir and his sons." Brynhildr massaged her temples.

It also didn't help that Mordred and the others were disappearing in the afternoon. Though it was impossible that they took Fenrir.

Mordred and the others have magical remnants of teleportation in their room. And there were no signs of spells like that being used in Fenrir's prison.

They also don't have any reason to do it. Fenrir is extremely temperamental. And he only ever listens to Loki. Being guests of Asgard, Mordred's group is already on its shit list.

"Mobilize the Valkyries Brynhildr, find them in the other realms. Loki definitely won't stay in Asgard, he hates this place." Odin could only sigh.

Brynhildr left and Mordred arrived at his office, but he immediately noticed that there was something different about Odin.

"What's the matter teacher?" Mordred tilted his head and Odin rolled his eyes.

"One of my sons is being an ass. Broke out Fenrir from his prison. We don't know if he had outside help or something. But the people of Asgard are pointing towards your group, which is stupid." Odin already trusts them. Mordred and Ise are his proteges.

Especially Mordred, he was a real one that is truly curious about the wonders of the world.

"Isn't this quite bad? Fenrir has fangs that can kill gods right? And he's running around out there somewhere?" Mordred raised a brow and Odin snorted.

"Of course it's bad, my boy. But what else can we do? it's not like if I try harder, we'll be able to find them. Loki is a trickster, he isn't that stupid." Odin could already imagine that he would be leaving traces left and right.

"I guess, so is our lessons still ongoing?" Odin shook his head. "You go and have a self study session with Issei. I have to show these idiots not to doubt your group." Odin stood up and he teleported.

Mordred shrugged and he started studying the materials. "Ohh, this one looks kind of like Sera-tan." He started browsing Odin's collection.

At a secret location of Lucifaad, a tall man that had similar hair to Vali was drinking some wine.

"Rizevim-sama, Loki is here." A butler that had long gray hair that was braided bowed at him as he reported.

"Bring him in Euclid." Rizevim Livan Lucifer looked at the door and a man who had ridiculous hair like Nurarihyon back in the day entered.

"The last Lucifer, why exactly did you help me in freeing Fenrir?" Loki raised a brow. Frankly, he didn't trust anybody. Especially devils like Rizevim who are from the old Satan faction, the extremists.

"Mah, don't be too suspicious Loki. Someone entered my radar you see?" Rizevim swirled his glass and he squinted his eyes a bit.

"Hmph, is this about that brat. Mordred Pendragon? I heard he was in Asgard, the old senile fool even announced him as an eternal ally of Asgard." Loki sneered.

"Yes, yes, you know about him. This makes things much easier. You see, he obliterated the whole Tepes faction in Romania. And we actually need something from there. We only just found it too, which was a pity." Rizevim shook his head wistfully.

Loki scoffed. "So you need something that he took from there? What does that have to do with me?" The trickster squinted his eyes.

"You must be gathering your forces right?" Rizevim knows that he has tricks under his sleeves.

"That is none of your concern, but I will attack Asgard." Loki was wary that Rizevim has that much information about him.

'How did he learn of Jormungandr's clones? This devil is a sly one.' Loki stayed vigilant against him.

"It's not a big deal Loki, just kill Mordred Pendragon. He is growing too fast, he will be a massive roadblock when he gets older." Rizevim shrugged and Loki didn't know what he'll get from this, but his pride does not allow him to let a debt be unpaid.

He might be a god of mischief, but he is a god first. And it would be better to take care of his debt before he comes knocking in the future.

"He is Odin's eternal ally anyway, he needs to die." Loki said with disdain and he disappeared from that place.

"Is that fine Rizevim-sama? Mordred Pendragon most likely possesses the wielder of Sephiroth Graal. We might have difficulties finding her if she goes into hiding." Euclid tried to give counsel.

"It is not that important Euclid, the Sephiroth Graal can't be hidden forever. It will pop out there somewhere. Morded Pendragon though... He's a warden of some things that are equally as important." Rizevim smirked.

"The evil dragons yes? Indeed, even the ruler of heaven would have fell if they all concentrated their attacks on them in the past, such a shame. The filthy pigeons would've been wiped out by now." Euclid shook his head in disappointment.

"Now, now, the Indian pantheon will be the only surviving faction if that was the case. They can't be stopped after all, just delayed." Rizevim marveled at Yahweh's solution.

Too bad, he died due to exhausting himself in sealing Trihexa. Or Mordred would still be sealed until stronger gods or the true dragons try to break through his seals.

"But I don't think he'll die really. So we will just use Loki as a scout. We must plan this accordingly. Releasing the evil dragons will bring down the whole might of multiple factions on us." Rizevim sighed at the mindless destruction of the seven.

Egypt, Asgard, Heaven, the underworld, and Kyoto will be on their asses if they deal with Mordred right now.

Not to mention the other factions that would dip their grubby hands on the chaos. It is widely known that besides the Indian pantheon, the deus trinity has the most territory and souls in their faction that strengthens the gods.

Rizevim has to do it himself. Hades can too, but the old skeleton won't obviously do it, he's a fence sitter. So their cover will be blown. Mordred is too well protected.

'Heaven most likely will try to make contact with him too in the near future. This is quite dangerous, which makes it so much more fun.' He chuckled.
