He was basically being in the process of character creation. He had to choose his incarnation's sex wether it is male or female. The color of his hair, eyes, skin tone and etc. Even his height and weight.

The soul absentmindedly answered every question and customized his incarnation mechanically. It completely lost its sense of self after a long time in the void.

In a desolate spatial dimension that carried a thick aura of intimidating miasma, a single egg was placed on the ground. It is the size of a basketball.

The egg looked extremely sturdy and it looked like it was a lump of magic crystal. In its shell carried patterns of lightning bolt and fire.

A single young woman wearing an iconic mask is caressing it lovingly. Her silky black hair reflecting the sunlight.

"You're finally going to be born." she whispered to the egg. The sky in her surroundings, there were dense thick clouds rumbling noises everywhere.

A huge storm is brewing large enough to encompass the entire spatial dimension. The thunder is loud enough to bust the eardrums of a high class being and make them deaf.

Though, the woman doesn't seem affected by it as she awaited her son to be born. Despite looking thin and frail, the way she was stable on her foot despite the harsh environment made her unordinary.

As the sounds of thunder gathered around directly above the egg, the mother didn't even make distance in it despite the dangers.

Then suddenly a pillar of lightning descended and it strikes directly towards the egg.

And then it hatched...

After a few moments, the sky cleared up as if the entire storm seconds ago was just a mere illusion. The clouds scattered everywhere nowhere to be seen.

And then faint cries of a baby echoed.

"Uwahh!"

The mother slowly lowered her arms reaching out to the baby and carried it to her bosom.

"You're name will be Rimuru, Rimuru Tempest."

In a certain town a young boy with long light-blue hair. He has golden colored eyes. His face looked a little girlish and he looked like a bishounen that made him extremely attractive towards girls near his age.

He's wearing a highschool uniform. And standing somewhere in a secluded area of the school. He's resting near the tree covered with shade.

"What do you want to tell me?" Rimuru said to the cute girl before him.

The cute girl's cheeks slightly turned pinkish, but she mustered up her courage and confessed out her feelings.

"Rimuru-kun, I like you. Please go out with me." she asked confidently though her voice shook slightly.

The blow of the spring breeze arrived.

"Thanks. I really feel happy that you came out and confessed to me. But right now I'm not thinking of dating anyone." Rimuru answered with a sigh and rubbed his head.

He already has experienced getting confessed to many times he could count. The love letters he received would make a small mountain. And the chocolates he received every valentine's day would be enough to rot his teeth and give him diabetes ten times over.

There was only one explanation to all of this: it was because he's too attractive. His beautiful long blue hair and bishounen face that girls his age would love.

The girl sighed disappointedly and then she left with tears.

Rimuru looked at her back disappearing away.

And beside her, a bob cut young lady wearing eye glasses with a petite figure also saw it. She adjusted her glasses and the lenses glinted by the reflection of light.

"There's nothing that seems suspicious about him." the glasses wearing lady was Sona Sitri. A heir of the Sitri clan of the Devils. She's also the new student council president of the Kuoh Academy.

"I agree, but we have to follow orders to keep an eye on him." the crimson haired young lady was Rias Gremory. A heir of the Gremory clan of the Devils. And the current Club President of the newly formed Occult Research club.

Rimuru turned to his back and looked at the windows Rias and Sona were spectating previously.
