Chapter 6: Checkup

The next day, Rahakki was taken to Ajuka's lab for testing. As the Gremorys did not want anyone to know about him, they went there early morning. He was roused from his meditation by his mother, which irritated him. But he understood the importance and started to get ready.
Everything was already packed and was ready before a week so they just have to be teleported there. And Rahakki was ecstatic to get out of his home. He was kept within the Gremory mansion since he was born as they were afraid that some news will be spread out due to his appearance.
He was curious and excited to explore the outside of the mansion. And also, he was also happy that he could firsthand experience the teleportation. From this he can understand how the teleportation works and he will be able to develop his own teleportation magic.
All his excitement was brought to close as he was teleported directly from Gremory mansion to Ajuka's lab directly. Atleast his excitement about exploring. He was able to experience the teleportation and was able to find out so many answers some of the issues that he faced while developing his teleportation magic. He still needs more testing and analysis on what needs to be done for the magic to work.
Once inside, they were met with a tall handsome man with green hair and blue eyes, donned with a green Victorian era suit and a lab coat. He is Ajuka Asaroth aka Ajuka Beelzebub. He has many titles but those that stand at the top are 'Satan blue' and 'The one who controls techniques and laws.'.
"Hi! Ajuka! How are you? It is good to see you after a long time. Especially after a long research seclusion." Zeoticus greeted Ajuka.
"It is good to see you doing good, Ajuka." Vanelena said with a gentle smile.
"Hey Ajuka, how is the lab treating you?!" Sirzechs said with a teasing and gloating tone.
"It is good to see you after so long, Beelzebub-sama." Grayfia said in a polite and formal tone.
"It is great seeing you after a long time, Mr. and Mrs. Gremorys, Sirzechs and Grayfia. I've been doing great. Hope you all are in good health!" Ajuka replied with a smile. After that he zoomed in on Rahakki who was standing beside Vanelena.
Following his gaze, Vanelena introduced "This is Rahakki Gremory. Part of our family". The introduction gave the implication that they have not yet announced that Rahakki is the second son of Gremory and they are holding of the announcement till the checkup is completed and gives a positive result.
He gave Sirzechs a look and Sirzechs gave a subtle nod. This confirmed his guesses. He is not new to this. He has seen so many noble families doing that and he himself did that with 3 of his offsprings. So, he just left is as a usual occurance.
While this was all going Rahakki failed to notice these hints as he was marvelling Ajuka's lab. As it contains high tech equipment which should not be invented during this time frame as it was early 1800s'. These equipment's are basically from 21st century or more in the future.
He was brought out of his musing by a tug in his shirt by his mother. That was when he realised all of them were looking at him. 'Ah shit, how could be so muddle-headded. Okay nothing major happened. Just make a greeting and compliment his lab.' He told to himself to calm his nervousness. He did not want to disappoint his family by a disgraceful greeting.
"It is a pleasure to meet you, Beelzebub-sama. I have heard great things from my brother. I was just mesmerised by your lab. It looks so amazing!". Rahakki gave his greetings.
Ajuka looked stunned and with a light laugh he said, "Haha! Is that so! You will be staying here for a month. I will give you a small tour if we get the chance. And it is nice to meet you to."
After the greetings are done, Ajuka stated, "The tests will be done in two parts during the first week there is nothing major. Rahakki will be tested for his health for the regular blood, hormones and growth. After that was done will be put to sleep in the nutrients pod for 2 weeks for the monitoring his metabolism and working of the demonic energy. He will be sleeping but he will not be able to wake up due to the artificially induced sleep. After that last week will be of recuperation. He can leave as soon as he will be able to function as usual even before the last week ends. And Rahakki before you leave for your home, I have surprise waiting for you."
This stunned all the members present. But most surprised was Rahakki, as this was the first time meeting him but Ajuka prepared a surprise for him. It was unexpected. But he thought it was because he was the brother of Sirzechs.
Others had some question but left it for when they are not in the presence of Rahakki.
So, the first week started. As it was just basic tests, he was free after the samples were taken from him. So, he asked Ajuka if he can access the library. He did not want to train here as it will lead to unnecessary question and he will have to inform Ajuka about his training method.
Ajuka considered for a moment and allowed him. As he was a kid, he assumed he will not be able to learn anything substantial. But how work he was. Not even the Gremorys know that he completely learned everything from their library. He Just need to find the things that are not available in the Gremory Library and just learn them.
Thus, his time alternated between providing samples for the test and learning from the library. Occasionally he will meditate to training his memory palace and parallel thinking process. As the meditation is a commonly know trait of his it did not raise any concern with Ajuka.
Rahakki also restraint from using any kind of magic as not come under Ajuka's radar. He also had an unexpected gift. Surprisingly, the library had 30% of the books that were not found in the Gremory Library. So, using his photo graphic memory he copied all the contes of the books and will meditate to organize them in his memory palace. It also served as a great practice for developing his memory palace. He estimated that by the 6th day he will be able to clear all the books and on the 7th day he will completely organize all the knowledge either from his previous life or this life in an organized manner in his memory palace.
Ajuka found out that Rahakki is taking and returning the book after a quick glance. He was sceptical at first but ignore as he assumed that the kid got disinterested but did not want to seems as he is giving up. He left it at that.
At the end of the first week, just as he assumed, he was able to complete his memory palace and able to modify it to organize his future memories. He was also able to develop some preliminary mental shield that would allow him to shield his mind being read.
Then, Ajuka informed him about he was going under sleep. After the preparations, Rahakki was put to sleep on the start of the 8th day.
Once he was put to sleep, Ajuka called Gremorys to his lab.
First thing Sirzechs asked after coming in was, "What is with the surprise prepared you prepared for Rahakki?"
"It is good to see you again too, Sirzechs." Ajuka greeted him in amusement. "As for the surprice, I'm planning on giving him his evil pieces."
The froze all the others. Vanelena was the first to come out of the daze and asked, "Isn't it decided that we give the younger generation their evil pieces at the age of 8? And isn't it that the evil pieces come out from the King stone? And don't we have to hold a ceremony for receiving the evil pieces in front of the King stone?" shot out the questions without giving Ajuka time for explanation. These are the questions that everyone had.
Ajuka knew that he will be overwhelmed with question so he waited for everyone calmed down and answered, "The answer for your questions are – Yes, Yes and no and Yes."
Everyone was confused but before they can ask anymore questions, he started explaining "Yes, it was decided that we will give them at the age of 8.
Yes, the evil pieces come out of the King stone. No, that is not the only king stone we have as I'm the one creating the evil pieces, I have one here in the lab which Sirzechs already knows.
Yes, but as this is for research purpose there is no need for ceremony as it was not yet implemented and Rahakki does not know about it. I just wanted to know what would happen to his evil pieces when it comes in contact with his demonic energy. I had the Idea when I tested his demonic energy all those years ago. I just didn't find the need to as I was not sure he would survive till now. And don't worry these are created from the residual materials from my research earlier as I don't want to waste those materials."
After his explanation was done, all had a moment of clarity and they were cleared of all the doubts and also the underlying message that no one will be informed of a set of evil pieces was given out. Because if the decided to send him to the southern territory, everyone will know that he was provided with a set of evil pieces and it will only be seen as an obligation to provide a set of evil pieces for a high-class devil.
Once the evil pieces were given out there is no way for it to be used again for another devil. We can only destroy the evil pieces which is a waste of resouces.
Once every one was cleared of the doubts, Ajuka started explain the results of the previous checkups and following tests that are yet to be done.
"First of all, regarding Rahakki's preliminary tests, I wanted to say that your assumptions are right. His demonic energy started to repair the damages done to his body. It is actively started to repair every part of body. But as for his reserves being getting low, we need more tests to be done which will be done in the second phase. I'm not sure if the process gets completed, he will awaken his bloodline but as far as I can see, everything moves in the positive side. But, I will ask you to keep your options open as this is only my assumption not a conclusion. He might awaken or he will stay the same. As far I can see, he was getting enhanced with his demonic energy. You might get a strong devil with a bloodline of Gremory, Bael or both. Or you will get a strong and enhanced devil."
After he gave his briefing, everyone was clear about the situation. Gremorys' had expression of relief, excitement and acceptance. Once everything was out on the open, they got more relaxed and started to talk about other mundane and unimportant things. Gremorys' left after an hour of catching up and Ajuka went back to monitoring and recording data from the monitoring devices.
He was intrigued by how the demonic energy of Rahakki was trying to repair his body. What he did not know was that, it was Rahakki's doing and his body was already healthy but he was just getting enhanced. He was looking from the perspective of an ultimate devil instead of a new born devil. Which is a severe mistake from the stand-point of a scientist. He did not know this now but when he referred this test in the future, he will regret his mistake of pushing away a prospective colleague.
As the days went by, he was able to see that something was happening to Rahakki's demonic energy. He concluded that his demonic energy reserves are being devoured to repair Rahakki's body. He did not know that the demonic energy was forming a core. As the end of the tests nears, Rahakki's confrontation with his past and present is getting closer and closer.
