Chapter 18: Confession
As the days passed, Trini got stronger and stronger. By the end of the 5th month, she was fully functional. As her body got restored, she awoke from her sleep. She slowly went near the place where Pyran is training. She wanted to surprise him.
But as she got near the doorway, she saw Pyran looking at her. Pyran, who trained around the dangerous beast, was always aware of the surroundings. It was like his second nature. So, her plan to surprise him went down the drain.
As soon as Pyran saw her, he went near her in an instant and asked, "Are you now alright Trini? There is no discomfort, right? You don't have to push yourself. Just take all the time to recover. There is no rush." He said with concern.
Trini was touched. She just put her hands around him and hugged him. Then said, "Thank you for all the things that you have done for me."
Pyran was stunned but then hugged her. They stayed like that for few more minutes. When they separated, Trini gathered her courage to place a small chastise kiss on his lips. Then she blushed madly and ran into her room.
Pyran .EXE crashed.
He just stood there staring at nothing like a statue.
He was thinking, 'What just happened?? Who am I??
Did she just kiss me??
She kissed me, right??
Did she do it by mistake??
Does that mean she likes me??
She ran away after she kissed me.
Did she feel shy??
Did she feel embarrassed that she kissed me mistakenly??
What should I do??'
His brain was over heating because of all the thinking. Finally, he took a deep breadth and went straight to Trini room and knocked the door and gently asked, "Trini, may I come in."
There was silence for few moments and then he heard a muffled yes. He opened the door and went in. He saw Trini was lying down with the blanket fully covering her till her head. He sat near the bed.
"Trini, I know what just happened and I will not deny that never happened. I think there is enough trust between both of us to clear the air. It will be really awkward if we keep this up. So, can we talk about this?"
As he was talked, he did not use his [Empathy] to know what she was feeling now. He wanted the emotions out of mouth. He was afraid of getting negative feedback. He was afraid that what she feels for him is not the same as what he feels for her. Basically, he was afraid of getting hurt before even she clearly states what she feels about him.
While Pyran was going through his turmoil of feeling, Trini was doing the same. Soon as she came into her room,
'I kissed him!! KISSED HIM!! ON THE LIPS!!
How pleasant is this feeling??
Am I allowed to feel like this?
Am I worthy of his feelings?
Should I even go through with this?
He just came here to free me and I am having other thoughts about him,
Will he feel the same way?
Will he feel confused?
Will he feel disgusted?
Does he have any other lover?'
As she was going through all this thoughts' in her head till Pyran came in for a talk. As he was speaking, she was slowly going through a mental breakdown. She was not sure what he feels but as he spoke to her with a gentle tone, she was feeling guilty. She did not want to face him.
But as he said if she did not clear this, it will become awkward between them. She was not willing to let that happen after all he has done for her. She wanted him to talk to her freely. Not feeling guilty. Nor feeling any hurt. Not feeling that he had hurt her. She did not turn to him but, she mustered up her courage and said,
"You have done all the things that a married couple is supposed to do for his spouse. You have bathed be, clothed me and fed me. You took care of me when I was weak. You cared for me like no one else. But that is not what made me do that.
When I was all alone, you came for me. To save me. You gave me all the necessary tools for my freedom. You cared for me like nobody. You saw me for who I am and not for what I was. You kept me company so that I would not feel alone. You kept my safety as your top priority in every steps you took. You made me feel that I was wanted and not rejected. You wanted me to life freely rather that follow my purpose.
So, I started considering you are one of the closest being to a family. After I got the memories, I started to feel embarrassed but when I thought that it was you who saw me naked, I was okay with it. As I started to go through all the knowledge, I slowly started to realize what I felt for you.
I stated feel affection for you. But as the days went by and we conversed, I started to feel more and more. I wanted to be close with you. I wanted to feel how it is to be hugged by you. I wanted to feel how it is to be hugging you. I wanted to see you, hear you and talk to you all day long. I slowly started to fall for you."
The she got up and sat on the bed facing him shouted,
"AND THAT'S WHEN I REALIZED I LOVE YOU!"
Once she said that she closed her eyes. She waited for him to react. She waited and waited for few more minutes. But there is no reply from him. She slowly opened her eyes to see what he was doing.
Before her Pyran stared at her in a daze. He was too stunned to speak. All that was going through his mind was,
'She feels the same for me as I do for her. She Loves me!! She Loves me!! She Loves me!! She Loves me!! She Loves me!! She Loves me!! She Loves me!! She Loves me!! She Loves me!! She Loves me!! She Loves me!! She Loves me!! She Loves me!! She Loves me!! She Loves me!! She Loves me!!'
When Trini saw that he was staring at her in a shock, she thought that he was staring at he in disbelief. Then she chuckled self-depreciably to herself thinking,
'What else did I expect. I should've known better. I do not deserve this. I took his kindness for granted and stuffed my feelings onto him. He has already done more than enough. Here I am expecting more than what I should have got. I just have to get some strength back and vanish from his life.'
She was in the verge of crying but held on to herself and said, "Pyran, I…."
After that she was unable to say anything. Not because she was chocked up or she was unwilling. But because Pyran just hugged her. He hugged her with all his strength but was gentle.
Now, Trini .EXE crashed.
She was thinking, 'What just happened???'
That was when Pyran started to talk, "Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! I was feeling the same but was not sure how to tell you. When I first saw you, I was thinking 'How beautiful and cute she is!'. After that when you started to make those cute gestures, I could think was 'She is cute! She is cute! She is cute! She is very cute!'
I never believed in love at first sight but when I saw you all that went out of the window. I wanted to tell you as soon as you came out your body. I wanted to let you know how I feel about you.
But I was afraid that you will think that I had other ideas when I came here. I was afraid I will be rejected. I was afraid that you will be disgusted with me. So, I just waited. I wanted to make you feel that you are comfortable around me. I wanted to let you become more aware of my feeling and then confess to you.
But after you said all these things, I was just over the moon! I just felt like I won the world!"
Once he started saying that she was blushing crazy and when he finished, she started to sob. Then cry and then started to wail loudly.
This got him panicked. He was not sure what happened but he thought he said something wrong and started to console her.
"Hey Trini, don't cry. Just tell me what happened. Did I say something wrong? Did I hurt you? Don't cry and let me know. I will fix it."
But she just kept wailing and hugging him tight. He was not sure what to do but he hugged her back. She then started to cry more loudly. He was confused and just used the [Empath]. Then he felt weird. All he could feel from her was she was Happy, ecstatic and relived. But mostly relived. He was about to ask her but she started to talk.
"I thought you did not want me! I thought that you feel disgusted about be! You were just helping me out of kindness and I was just taking advantage of that! I thought that you were feeling mad because that I feel like this about you after all the things I have done! I thought… I thought… I thought…"
Trini just let all the emotion that she bottled up until this moment to flow out. She just cried and cried till she was calm. Pyran understood what happened and hugged her back. He just rubbed her back until she calmed down.
She cried for almost half an hour till she calmed down. But they did not break off from their hug. Both stayed like this. Then Pyran spoke,
"Hey Trini" he called out to her gently.
"Hmm" she acknowledged him.
"Always remember this. No matter when or how or where, my answer to you will be, I Love You! Always the same answer, no matter what. So don't doubt me or yourself. You did nothing wrong. You were not in a sane mind when you did all that. If someone says otherwise, let them speak to me first before coming to you. I will always be on your side."
Trini felt that she was completely content. She felt happy. She felt that she could go on like this for eternity. She then said. "I understand and I Love You!"
They sat there in Trini's bed like that till Trini went to sleep. She was mentally drained and was just sleeping soundly. He tried to make her sleep comfortably on the bed but she won't let him go. So, he just shifted her to his lap and he leaned on the head rest of the bed. He let her sleep on him as she sat on his lap and leaning on his shoulder. Seeing her sleeping peacefully, he placed a small kiss on the side of her head and started to stroke her head. She then made herself comfortable and went to her dreamland.
When Trini woke up, all she was saw Pyran's jawline. The she started to stroke his cheek. When she remembered what happened before she went to sleep, she started to blush. But there was a sweet and silly smile on her face. She was just thinking how stupid she was for not noticing the same feeling that Pyran had for her.
Now that she thought about it, both of them were just stupid and afraid to notice what the other looked when they look at each other. She was also confused why Pyran did not use his [Empath] skill. If he had just used it, he might have already known about her feeling for him. As she was thinking, Pyran woke up.
He looked confused at first and when he looked Trini sitting on his lap, he grinned and said, "Hello there beautiful! Did you have a comfortable seat while sleeping!"
Trini blushed and just hid her face in his chest and said, "Don't tease me! I did not do that on purpose. I will not do that again."
Pyran just immediately retorted, "Who said you cannot do that? You can use my lap as your seat anytime you want. I just got my love of my life! I will not miss any chance to be close with her."
Trini started to blush, but there was loving smile in her face. They just styed there for a while and reluctantly got off of each other. Then Pyran said, "Trini, I just wanted you to know that I Love you. But before we move on with next step, I wanted to for us to get to know each other more."
Trini just questioned, "We know about each other already. What else should we know about more?"
Pyran replied, "Yes you know about my life from birth to now. And even before my birth. But I am talking about spending time together other that training. Like explore each other's likes and dislikes. Go on dates. Spending time together travelling and exploring. You know, other stuff like that. That way we will know each other like the back of our hand. I just wanted to make the process more natural rather that jumping onto each other after confessing."
Trini blushed madly, but after thinking about what Pyran said, it was kind of nice and sweet. She then smiled at him and nodded. She wanted to do all the things that Pyran told her. She also wanted to learn few more things about him. Then they talked about few more things and started to train. During this time they did not miss any chance to get closer. They are still sleeping on separate rooms but they do spend more time closer to each other when they are awake.
By the 4th month, Trini has recovered her strength to High-High class. Due to her being created from a mature Origin seed, she can get back her strength really fast. By the time they started to pack. Pyran was taking Trini outside the seal finally. And Trini was very excited to see the world outside the seal again.
