Alliance Leader I

"We have had little information about Khaos Brigade for the past few decades. In fact, we didn't even know they were an organised group until recently" Grayfia began, putting paperwork in front of every single one of us as if this was actually a formal diplomatic meeting and not just a bunch of powerhouses meeting together to get a cup of tea. 

[It is a formal diplomatic meeting, Ray] Elysir sent me mentally, she put a bit of saliva on her thumb and began going through the pages, shit... she's taking this seriously. 

When I looked at everyone else in the room, everyone except for Gabriel and me was going through the pages of Grayfia's document. I didn't want to be put in the same category as that klutz... so I hurriedly began checking them as well. 

There were pictures and information on certain individuals. 

"This is the list of individuals whom we believe form part of this organisation although it is only a conjecture, given their clear objective to disrupt the supernatural community" Grayfia continued.

"Why is my picture here?~" Hasshaku-sama asked, pointing at the photo of her full-blown Youkai self, she seemed to be coming out of a pile of debris and was about to jump on the poor soul that took that photo. 

"Haven't you been asked by them to join?" Metatron inquired.

"Naturally I have been invited. But I rejected them as I have no such miserable objectives".

There were pictures of a number of individuals including the ones we have already defeated: Jeanne, Heracles, Perseus, Georg and Cao Cao. 

"Crum Cruach...?" Yasaka gasped at one of the individuals in the list, I searched for him or her and the only picture available was that of a blurry silhouette flying in the skies... is that supposed to be a profile photo?

"The Crescent Circle Dragon was wreaking havoc two centuries ago in a battle against the Hindu Pantheon, a brief consultation from one of our informants told us that he merely 'sought a duel against shiva for fun' or that was the information we managed to check".

"Isn't that a bit far-fetched to say he is a member of Khaos Brigade?" Yasaka put the files down as if she had already read them.

"Considering his volatile personality and Khaos Brigade's objective, I'd say he is more than likely one of the members... the problem is that we don't know their hierarchy" Sirzechs added, also putting the papers down. 

I went through the list, there was everything you could think of; Dragons, Gods, Vampires, Goblins, Dwarves, Witches and Wizards... cats, dogs, sheep. 

"You may ask why this is relevant and why we devils are willing to involve ourselves after turning our blind eye when they attacked the Priestess".

Amaterasu who hadn't said a word so far, finally spoke. 

"You have witnessed the capacity we have to deal against the threat they represent and wish to form an alliance, most likely because Khaos Brigade has already started knocking on your doorstep, am I correct?"

"As correct as a Goddess could be, Lady Amaterasu. Please refer to the thirteenth page of the document".

We all went there and there was a list of individuals who could also be members. But for this page and the next two... they were just devils. 

"The Old Satan Faction you fought against during the devil civil war. I see why you're interested, Satan Lucifer" Hasshaku-sama whistled. 

"That's correct. For a while, we thought it may be just them but the appearance of Cao Cao and other myths lead us to believe there may be stronger individuals involved and they may have an eye not only on Japan and the Underworld as they have done so far, but the whole supernatural community. It is a threat that is only natural we ally against... what do you all say?~" 

Sirzechs and Grayfia finished their points of view and after they did that... for a reason I don't understand... all gazes focused on me. 

"Eh?"

"What do you think, Osiris... is this alliance viable?" Amaterasu asked me, like... why the hell are you asking me? I don't even know who a single one of the people on this list is. 

She seemed to understand my sense of loss and giggled, "Since you have viciously stolen my priestess who is the de-facto ruler of the political spectrum in Japan, it is only natural that you make this decision instead of me".

I finally understood where she was coming from and when I took a peek at Yasaka she was blusing and regarding me seriously as if also awaiting my decision. These two... they have already talked about all this and this naughty pet of mine didn't tell me anything!

"It is as she said, I shall do whatever Ray-sama says. If he believes we are capable of protecting Japan on our own, then an alliance with the Heavens and Hell is not needed. If he believes that an alliance would be worthwhile, I don't mind signing papers right at this moment".

[It seems without knowing we have already been acknowledged... what do you want to do, Ray?]

'What do you mean what do I want to do...? I am not the right person to make this decision right now, I lack the information on the subject and don't even know if this Sirzechs is that trustworthy or Michael'.

[Then leave it up to me, I will deal with it].

'Thanks, Ely'.

[But you will have to massage me in exchange and spoil me for a while].

'Is that what a wife is supposed to say?'.

[Hmph, because I'm your wife you should give me double!]

'Alright alright, I'll do whatever you want, geezz'.

"It shall be me who will make this decision in regards to an alliance and I shall begin with several single points before we move forward" Elysir finally took over and she crossed her legs like a queen on her chair, with her mere gaze gulps were heard in the room, it was as if she was looking at everyone from above, even Amaterasu. 

"First off, it is meaningless to try and pressure Osiris and me into a fitting role in your conflict against Khaos Brigade. I can see what you're trying to do here, Amaterasu".

"And what would that be?~"

"You want us to deal with your conflict... in truth, you haven't been paying as much attention to Khaos Brigade, have you?".

"I have kept my eyes on my priestess-"

"You didn't do anything before, during and after the murder of Yasaka's mate more than a decade ago" Elysir sent the first jab. 

Amaterasu's clear and controlled countenance crumbled into a frown, "I was not aware this was a national-level threat when this singular incident happened, I believed it to be a scourge between the East and West Youkai Factions, that is not within the jurisdiction of Takamagahara".

"But your lack of actions led to this conclusion. Yasaka has been constantly harassed by this organisation ever since and you haven't made a move".

"What point are you trying to get across, Anubis?"

The room's temperature increased drastically, both angels and devils would have made some distance if they weren't just stuck in their respective chairs.
