What a weird world it is. One day you go from learning Gods exist to learning these a whole island resort that even demigods can live peacefully. Right now im participating in tonight's event.

Its a water race which is my thing. Helloooo son of the Greek God of the sea? Anyways its a 10 mile swim with a mile at the beginning and end having lanes and the other 8 miles of open sea where pvp is allowed. Tonight only 6 teams chose to compete in this event.

Demigods, Sitri, Gremory, Yokai, Shinto and Phoenix. I look at the other champions standing on their platforms. According to Annabeths intelligence, Sona Sitri is a devil with a high affinity to water and ice magic. Seekvaira is unknown but rumours say shes a mech freak. Ayame the wolf yokai is participating, she hasnt made a name for herself but they say her use of Touki was only matched by Sun Wukong of the Yokai faction. Le Fey Pendragon uses fairy magic that should be interesting. And finally one of the Phoenix's hand picked members. Adelheid Suzuki... shes actually hot as hell, not that id ever mention that to Annabeth. But rumours say that she trains with Hibari the Phoenix almost daily and keeps up with him. Tough competition if this was a fight.

"WELCOME TO TONIGHT'S EVENTS." The pink haired announcers words were like a fuse that sent the crowd wild. "IM PERONA THE GHOST PRINCESS AND TONIGHT JOINING ME IN THE BOOTH ARE TWO KNOWN MASTERS OF THEIR FIELDS. FIRST UP IS THE MISTRESS OF TRANSFIGURATION. THE WITCH WHO WROTE THE BOOK ABOUT TRANSMUTATIONS. THE VICE HEAD MISTRESS OF HOGWARTS SCHOOL OF WITCHCRAFT AND WIZARDY, MINERVA MCGONAGALL."

"EXCEPTIONAL WORDS VERDE NOW ON TO THE MAIN EVENT. OUR CHAMPIONS ARE EACH TASKED TO SWIM OUT 4 MILES TO GRAB A GOLDEM FLAG THEN HOLD ON TO THAT FLAG UNTIL THEY REACH THE ENDING. IF YOU DROP YOUR FLAG THEN YOU HAVE TO RETURN AND GRAB A NEW ONE. CHAMPIONS ARE ALLOWED THE USE OF ANY NON LETHAL MAGIC THEY KNOW AND WAS ALLOWED TO BRING ANY ONE MAGICAL SUPPORT ITEM OR WEAPON. GOOD LUCK BECAUSE WE THREW SOME NICE SURPRISES IN THERE. ON YOUR MARKS. GET SET. GOOOOOOOO."

I jump in the water not even getting wet as i will myself forward at incredible speeds. Its was currently a 3 way tie between Me, Sitri, and Le Fay. She used some kind of bubble to move. Sitri was like me, moving through a stream of water. Behind us a bit was Ayame running along the surface using that Touki thing on her feet. Lastly there were Adelheid and Seekvaira who seem to be talking on the platform still? Thats worrisome.

Coming up on the 3 mile mark i speed up a bit breaking the tie as i finally will myself out of the water to grab the first flag when a small hand coated in a pinkish magical aura snatches it first.

"Ill take this hehe. Thank youuuu." teased Le Fay as we fell back into the water. I see that Sona is 2 miles ahead of us but she didnt grab a flag. I jump back out of the water where im seeing the most bizarre thing.

A dolphin i couldn't speak too was holding a flag in its mouth as it finally submerged. Im pulled out of my daze as i tie with Ayame in grabbing flags. We take off, me under her running on top as we head to catch up. I can see in the distance that same dolphin was now tied with Le Fay. Sona was still about a mile ahead of them.

Thats when i felt the chill. I stopped and turned around to see the ocean freeing at an astonishing rate. No matter where i looked i already saw frost covering the place. I shoot up out of the water but instead of finding solace above the shore line, i find myself trapped in a upwards stream of water.

Think Percy think how do you get out of this. I turn my eyes to see Adelheid shoot past with Seekvaira behind her unmelting the ice once they were miles away. They easily catch up to and surpass Ayame and seekvaira about to pass the now frozen Le Fay and Adelheid already passed the frozen Sitri. The dolphin turns into a bright blue flame and flies back to Sona before she glowed blue and now she looked like she had a grey scaled wetsuit and holding a trident. She conjures a huge wave that pushes the ice back a bit but ultimately froze but not before knocking back Seekvaira.

I summon my Riptide to my hand and start willing the water deep below the ice to come to me. The water finally starts churning when i hear perona

"AND OUR WINNER IS ADELHEID SUZUKI! SECOND PLACE IS SONA SITRI! WHO'S NEXT ITS ANYONES GAME."

"Quite a fascinating device you invented Mr. Verde that box core."

"Why thank you Professor, i do believe it should be possible with magical creatures as well."

I tune them out as the ice around is finally destroyed by the water i summoned and i land on the ice. Ayame is already back in action closing in on the Le Fay whos slowly melting the ice. I start running but i get stopped in mid stride as i see time reverse around me and now im back in my original position of being a demisicle.

Seekvaira finally recovered from Sonas wave and starts running across the ice it take her a second to get Ayame in her magic's range before she made her pause. She passes her and i feel her hold on me slip. So i get back to summoning more water from the now frozen ice.

"OUR THIRD WINNER IS SEEKVAIRA AGARES!" WITH AYAME INU IN FOURTH AND LE FAY PENDRAGON COMING IN FIFTH."

I....lost? A demigod of the sea....lost in a naval battle. Im not ever gonna live this down. That settles it Annabeth has been mentioning it before but now i know next Semester instead of going to some regular school ill try to test into this magic academy. Everyone has some kind of magical abilities but i can barely control water 1/4 of a mile away.

Five minutes later im standing solemnly with my team as we watch Adelheid get some weird light blue fruit. Seeing her smile i get a shiver down my spine. Sona has something their Magical Department made called 'The Orb of Tsunami' it can supply an infinite amount of water of any kind as long as you pour wated into it. Their calling it the first of their line of magical products called Sheng Gong Wu. Seekvaira was 3rd but she seemed okay with losing to Sona. Her prize was special. She got some piece of paper with a blue print i couldnt understand called J.U.P.I.T.E.R. I only saw a brief glimpse before she snatched it away with eyes of amazement. Is she crying? Whatever ill definitely win next time once i learn a bit of magic.
