The Flaming Liar

Making my way to school after a meeting with some Dragon royalty the first thing I noticed where the three idiots tied hanging from the roof. It brings a smile to my face seeing Adelheid take her job so seriously. However knowing those idiots they might just think of it as some new kinky play. So I pass them before running into Momo at the front gate.

"Mr. Kyouya-san, this way please, the president would like to have a word with you."

Of course being late was enough to get a one way trip to meeting my Sitri princess. So without complaining I followed Momo, making some small talk on the way to ease the tension between me and this clever young devil reincarnate. Eventually making our way to the door of the student council room, Momo made a quick series of knocks and as usual Sona's voice saying Enter was heard.

"Hibari-san its been less than 2 weeks of school and the head of the disciplinary committee is late to class. What would the people say?" Seeing Sona's smirk I couldn't help but tease her as its only me and her in the room.

"Well if being late gets me a one way ticket to a private meeting with you, then I'll never be on time."

Watching her smirk turn into a small grin before it goes back to a neutral position yet not hiding the rosy blush on her cheeks, I slowly inch my way towards her.

"If you are late again then just know that there will be consequences that even I may not be able to help you from" she states matter of factly.

"Oh ? So you're just looking out for me? How lucky am I to have such a cute president worrying about me" the smile on my face is a little cocky but also just warm enough to make her blush even redder. By now I'm standing directly in front of her as I lean forward. "I guess I just have to take responsibility for my mistakes."

I can see her breathing start getting faster as our faces got closer until im almost an inch away from her. I notice the look in her eyes, panic, yet a little interest and expectation. So instead of giving her what she expected I just took a Tardy slip from her desk and lean away.

"I won't be late again but now I should probably get back to class. Bye Bye Shitori-San!" I say with a small wave to the dazed Sona as I turn around to the door to not notice the steam coming out of her ears. Oh well I should probably go check in on the club before heading to class since im already late. So much for my peaceful Friday.

Still slightly steamy and disappointed

GOSH SONA HE WAS RIGHT THERE AND YOU DIDN"T MOVE. YOU FROZE UGH. IF THIS IS HOW IT IS YOU JSUST MIGHT LOSE HIM. NO! HE'S CLEARLY INTERESTED I JUST NEED TO FIGURE OUT THE RIGHT APPROACH.

Should I call my nee-san for advice? Yet, I'm not even through my thoughts yet as a familiar crest in a teleportation circle glowed in the office before my sister Serafall comes through.

"Huh Nee-san! What are you doing here aren't you busy?"

"Muuuu So-tan doesn't wanna see her big sister anymore now that she's left the Underworld!" I know she's faking the sadness but either way

"It's not like that, it's just…I'm frustrated right now." I explain to my sister

"Oh about that Hibari boy who beat you at chess?" ask Serafall Sitri nee Leviathan

"HOW DID YOU…*sigh* we're you spying on me again Nee-san" I glare at her for a second before she averts her eyes and starts whistling the opening theme to the second season of Sailor Moon.

"Look Sona, I was worried about you," she states as she walks over and sits on my table top. "You have a very good head on your shoulders but the Human world is filled with nothing but surprises so I just wanted to make sure you we're safe at least until you got your bearing or more than Tsubaki in your peerage."

I sigh at her logic because I know how much she cares about me. Ever since she was tasked to become the new Leviathan all the weight of becoming the Clan head was thrust onto my shoulders. Even Rias is in a similar position. I know how much she dotes on me to cover the fact I couldn't have a regular childhood and she still feels guilty I had to pick it up, but I still love her and I can't blame her as she was needed to keep the whole faction stable and not just our one clan.

"I understand Nee-san, but now other than Tsubaki I have Momo now too and once shes trained up she will be a force to be reckoned with. Not to mention Hibari san that's smart enough to be a Bishop, strong enough to be a rook, and fast enough to be a knight."

"Oh did you invite him to your peerage or something?"

"Not yet but I will after I have Momo situated and settled in. He's a smart man so I don't have to worry about him joining Rias for now since he doesn't seem to follow just anyone."

Serafall just does a light giggle before asking "How do you plan to make him accept joining you?"

"Im going to ask him to a game of chess; a rematch where it will decide if im his King or his wife."

"Are you sure Sona you already lost once? And im no fan of telling people what to do, but if you lose again there's no going back. So really think about it, because if he's not worthy of your hand…" I feel the temperature start to drop really fast as front flakes form on my eyebrows, "I'll kill him myself!"

Geez my sister can be downright terrifying in her own right "Yes Nee-san I understand."

"GOOD! Now tell me, why didn't you kiss him just now" Sera asks with a giggle.
