41 Chapter 41 - No good, huh?

Author Note: So, I've had some time to think and decided to take a break from writing this novel, although I love reading your comments I just don't find actually writing it as fun as I did when I first started which is a big reason I began writing. Alot of the chapters were even written with the mindset of me wanting to finish as soon as possible so I can go do something else.

Now that the novel has reached about 50k in terms of wordcount I'm gonna start working on some other ideas I had and get back eventually since I want to at least reach 100k words.

Thank you for all the support and comments so far. :)

"Hello Koko, it seems you made it in time." Okita had a light smile on his face as he called out languidly, Grayfia announcing the start of the rating game was heard in the background as various monitoring spells appeared around the room giving the spectators a better view of the battlefield showing Rias and Riser with their peerages in their respective bases.

As Koko stepped closer to the group, the three Satans finally got their first look at the illusive child of Ophis. Various thoughts floating around in their minds as they gave her a look over though they quickly ended up having to look up to her when she got close enough, especially Serafall who had to crane her neck.

Sirzechs raised an eyebrow at her wild red hair but didn't really think much of it other than it being an amusing coincidence since it was a much darker shade than those of the Gremory heritage, not to mention her not being a devil.

Ajuka's blank face lifted slightly as his eyes scanned over her clinically, the tablet that they had gotten containing the information of the Super-class devil research had befuddled him initially. Although it didn't really have any malfunctions, he didn't think the squeaking qualified since it didn't feel like it was a mistake in design, the tablet itself however had another problem... it shouldn't work.

Ajuka had scanned it multiple times to find out if the problem layed in his machines or the tablet itself and came up with nothing conclusive other than the tablet not having the necessary components to actually function like it was doing. To him it looked like a hodge podge of different parts cobbled together in a strange but weirdly intricate way to somehow make it work.

He still hadn't figured out the problem but now that the creator was present he could just ask instead of trying to make sense of something nonsensical.

"You're pretty tall, aren't you?" Serafall piped up playfully while looking up at her as she squinted her eyes, one of her hands being held up as if shielding her from the sun. The two buffoons beside her may not have felt it, but she sure did. The current peace in the underworld had made alot of their habits from the times of war dull, one of them being instinctively getting a feel for the power of people they weren't familiar with.

However, scoping out new people was practically one of the first things Serafall did during her duties as the Satan in charge of foreign affairs, it didn't always end in a peaceful discussion and if she had to fight her way out she'd know who to watch out for.

The person in front of her didn't radiate danger like alot of others she had met, she didn't have a feeling of oppression to her presence that she would expect from someone like her, she didn't even feel much of anything other than curiosity and excitement, however.

Standing so close to her made her body harder to move making Serafall feel like she was moving underwater. She had a feeling that if something actually did happen Ophis may not be their only problem, this one was dangerous enough.

"Koko, this is three of the four current Satans, Sirzechs Lucifer my king, Ajuka Beelzebub a genius inventor and this is Serafall Leviathan, in charge of foreign-" Okita started as he gestured towards them before getting interrupted.

"Hey, hey, hey! Knight-chan, Levia-tan's job is being a magical girl you know?" Serafall chided with a pout as she poked at him with her wand.

"Serafall Leviathan in charge of being a magical girl." Okita continued nonchalantly, Sirzechs giving Koko a slight smile while Ajuka just gave her a taciturn nod.

"Hmm~" Koko stood relaxedly in front of them with her hands clasped behind her head as she looked them over with a pondering expression on her face. Her eyes glanced at Serafall who gave her a smile and a small wave before she blinked and shifted her gaze onto Sirzechs and Ajuka.

"Are you Super-class devils?" Koko asked curiously as she tilted her head.

"We are, yes." Sirzechs answered as he raised an eyebrow making Koko's eyes widen slightly before they sharpened, her pupils expanded as she looked at them while an unnaturally fierce aura started wildly flaring up around the surface of her body pressing down on the surroundings.

The three Satans' eyes also widened to varying degrees as their demonic power also instinctively flared up to combat the feeling of oppression while all the other devils present were knocked out of their shock and instantly forced down to the ground unable to move as the power of their presences clashing started cracking the building.

"Wanna fight?" Koko asked excitedly with a smile of childish happiness on her face as her feet restlessly tapped on the ground in anticipation.

The Satans didn't really know what to do currently, could they really deny her wishes with Ophis backing her? Although they had gotten a pretty good grasp of her personality from Okita, they didn't know if she'd suddenly lash out and injure the devil nobility.

Sirzechs couldn't really just up and leave to fight her given what the rating game signified so he was stuck. Ajuka... didn't really care for much outside of his lab while Serafall wasn't in the Super-class.

As the situation gradually escalated, the building looking like it was on the verge of splitting in half and the other devils having a hard time breathing Okita barely managed to right himself using his sword as a crutch.

"Koko." Okita called as he put a hand on her shoulder.

"Mm?" Koko looked back at him in confusion.

"Didn't you want to see how a rating game worked?" Okita continued calmly while resisting their powe, mentally thanking his lucky stars that it wasn't at full force.

"Oh." Koko seemingly remembered the reason she was there in the first place and nodded, the aura of suppression instantly disappearing.

Sirzechs sent Okita a thankful glance while the other devils started getting up though they were slightly robotic in their movements making sure to keep a distance from their group as the situation calmed down.

Though a certain bird was quietly seething, even he knew when he was outmatched.

---

Koko watched as the gymnasium exploded in a shower of dust and rubble with half-lidded eyes while propping up her cheek with her hand, the other one idly tapping at the her seat.

"Hey Century Geezer, this is kinda boring when you're just watching." Koko pouted grumpily as Grayfia's voice announcing three pawns and a rook being taken out rang out.

"Hmm, you think so? I think it's quite entertaining." Okita hummed absentmindedly while his narrowed eyes zoomed across the windows showing the battlefield.

"..."

"Can I join?"

"Maybe next time Koko."

Koko blew a raspberry as she continued watching.

"Hey isn't that your student or something? Why's he so weak?" Koko scratched her head in confusion as she watched Kiba clashing swords against Riser's knight.

"You think so? I think he's doing pretty well for someone on his level." Okita answered while his eyes traced Kiba's figure, picking out flaws that he'd beat out of him later.

"Why are the others just standing around, don't they wanna fight?" Koko pointed at most of Riser's peerage standing to the side while Rias' pawn and his rook fought each other.

"Who knows?"

---

"Rias-sama's resignation has been confirmed, the winner of this rating game is Riser Phenex-sama." Grayfia eventually announced the conclusion of the match.

"No good, huh?" Okita let out a slight sigh as he mumbled to himself while the participants got teleported back out of the rating game dimension.
