A few hours later, the four Satans were hovering above the massive crater as they looked around the supposed battlefield.
They were all alarmed as soon as the first impact hit as it provoked a massive earthquake shaking a big chunk of the underworld under their authorities. Their first instinct was of course to check it out in case of it being dangerous, however Ajuka had quickly warned them that Ophis was also in the same direction meaning that they had no choice but to wait until she left.
When Sirzechs told them that she had potentially entered the underworld they had a 'small' moment of panic before eventually calming down, having Ajuka confirm it to be true and shut down all requests to take a closer look at the trail of destruction that had started not long after.
Ophis had apparently decided to take someone as her child, and with Okita's speculations of her maternal instincts surfacing, they didn't want to take any risks whatsoever.
Some devils that could potentially have caught a glance at the source was too far away to see anything but a huge vehicle of some kind, the driver obscured by a massive trail of dust. They also had readings of Ophis' power flaring slightly multiple times in a circle around what they surmised was her child, it seemed some devils wanted to check it out by themselves despite their warnings.
A few days after Ophis and her child's entrance they had apparently gained another member following after them, Bova the Destroyer having been spotted running after the vehicle. It was also noted that he was running in the trail of dust, coughing and flailing his arms around.
The group didn't seem to have any goal in particular since they weren't really moving in a straight line seemingly visiting random spots, leaving destruction behind. This continued until they eventually happened to go in the direction of the Dragon Mountains and was presumably intercepted, leading to... this.
"Do you have anything Ajuka?" Sirzechs asked as he looked around in thought with his arms crossed, a finger idly tapping away.
Ajuka had a slight frown on his face as his eyes darted around the various readings floating around him.
"I can detect Ophis, Tannin and Bova's energy signatures present. However this 'Koko' barely registers on my scanners which should be impossible since she was supposedly the one who caused this much destruction. The only one that I can see actively used their energy during this fight is Tannin, and even he wouldn't be able to do this in such a short amount of time."
Sirzechs hummed slightly in acknowledgement as Ajuka continued looking through the graphs and found something a bit odd.
"There also seems to be something else lingering in the air but it's presence is so thin that I wouldn't have caught it if it wasn't for ambient mana not being in those spots. I can't get a closer look because the only reason I saw it was because I couldn't see what was supposed to be there in the first place, they're like blind spots."
The other three Satans looked at him in surprise, Ajuka being unable to find something didn't happen very often.
"Could she have gotten access to another type of energy like senjutsu and youjutsu?" Serafall proposed.
"Perhaps."
The conversation descended into silence for a few minutes before they felt another presence arriving and heard a low whistle.
"How scary~"
"Azazel." Sirzechs nodded slightly at the twelve winged fallen angel.
"So, any idea what happened here?" Azazel asked with a raised eyebrow.
Sirzechs was about to respond when he noticed something odd, Azazel was frantically scratching all over his body for some reason but still managing to keep a straight face.
"Uhm..." Sirzechs started in slight confusion.
"Don't worry about it."
---
The training grounds at the dragon mountains were bustling with life as all the dragonlings either practiced, fought or rested before getting back into it. Instructor Tannin had apparently gone to handle something, however that didn't mean that they could slack off, it was like he had an uncanny ability to tell when they hadn't given their all which none of them could figure out.
An hour or so ago five massive impacts rang out accompanied by the world itself shaking which alarmed the whole mountain range, quickly sending a few of their more experienced warriors to check it out since Tannin had also gone in the same direction it originated from.
"Oh, Instructor Tannin and the others are back. Bova's with them, too." One of them suddenly said a their silhouettes appeared on the horizon.
"Obviously, what else were you expecting? No one can beat Instructor Tannin!" Another one scoffed arrogantly.
The other one just rolled his eyes, not responding. Although he had alot of respect for Tannin, he knew that he wasn't in any way unbeatable.
When the group got closer though a few of the more sharp eyed dragons noticed something odd, the warriors' bodies were sort of slumping as if trying to make themselves unnoticeable looking almost subdued, a stark difference from their usually proud stance.
"Are we there yet?"
"Almost."
"..."
"Now?"
"...You can see it if you would just look in front of you, Koko."
They eventually heard Tannin's voice talking to someone, which is when they noticed a tall redheaded human sitting on top of his head restlessly tapping away at whatever she could reach, including his horns, with her hands and swinging her legs around.
As the group landed, the dragonlings present at the training grounds looked at each other in confusion as Tannin nonchalantly continued on deeper into the dragon mountains while pointing to various spots, explaining what they were to the human like a tour guide.
Everyone present looked on until they eventually disappeared around a corner leaving the courtyard in silence.
"Uh... who was that?" One of them asked someone from the returning group a few moments later.
Although they were confused, alot of them also thought that a mere human shouldn't be that deep into the mountains feeling a bit slighted however since Tannin was basically the one calling the shots, they couldn't really just tell him what to do. This wasn't even mentioning his strength which was a major reason he was so respected amongst dragons, the dragon mountains was also his land and territory so who were they to police it.
The warrior that was asked suddenly straightened up, feeling a bit lighter now that they were out of view before he shot a severe glare towards everyone present.
"I already know what some of you whelps are thinking about, but if any of you do anything stupid you won't have time to regret it before you get erased. We won't take any responsibility for the consequences of your actions because we aren't strong enough to do so, even if we wanted to." He spoke seriously as he and most of the warriors vacated the area leaving behind a sentence that instantly chilled all of their bodies stiff.
"That's the child of Ophis, the Infinite Dragon God."
