DxD: Mechanic's Scrapyard

A street rat with an uncanny affinity for machines reincarnates into a world he, now she, has no knowledge of. Being a child again in the wrong gender at that was a bit weird, but that was nothing compared to finding out what sort of beings she was now living amongst. She shrugged her shoulders "Well as long as they don't mess with my scrapyard." --- Author Note: Just a disclaimer for those who don't like OP MC's, she will be pretty OP and I don't really like situations where stories forces the MC to go against someone they literally have no chance of winning against. For those curious about Romance? I don't know, pretty much nothing is planned, however if I do decide to try, the love interest will also be female. The Cover picture is Jona from Alchemy Stars.

Chapter 36 - Delayed!

Author Note: I've found out that I'm not very good at writing battles between powerhouses because I can't really imagine the scale of how much destruction their attacks will do, so I'm just gonna be as vague as I can. :)

---

Tannin was slightly stunned by the revelation, although it wasn't impossible for hybrids of half humans to gain sacred gears since 'he' fell, the sacred gear system still looked for 'humans' before granting the gears and the other side of their heritage makes it much harder to find that in hybrids because it would be slightly altered.

But to think a Lucifer would gain the Divine Dividing, huh? Tannin honestly wouldn't be surprised if he could live up to his claim as the strongest White Dragon Emperor to exist to date, the original Lucifer was a monster and so is his son Rizevim, although he wouldn't be a match for the original, he was still a being in the Super-class which was very telling.

Rizevim's son, Razevan wasn't anything special but even he reached Ultimate-class before his demise and Tannin would bet his tail the man never trained a day in his life.

Tannin's hardened face gained a slight look of satisfaction as he chuckled a bit, it seems two of the future powerhouses were already set in stone.

Though this did make him think of something else, would this generation's Red Dragon Emperor be able to keep up with the monsters of this generation?

He mused to himself as he hummed slightly, he was a bit curious of who gained the Boosted Gear this time.

He emerged from his thoughts when he heard Ophis' child muttering to herself while scratching her head with a concentrated look on her face.

"...I don't rememeber my introduction." She pouted slightly as she kicked at the ground.

Hearing some rustling to his side Tannin glanced at Ophis, seeing her take out a piece of paper from somewhere and walked over to her child, climbed onto her back and held it in front of her while she patted her head.

"What's that?"

"You can use it in your new introduction."

"Oh." She read through it while humming before looking like she was concentrating for a few moments as Ophis started hovering again.

"Kay, I think I got it."

Suddenly gaining a serious expression she whirled around and pointed at him while speaking grandly.

"Your time has unfortunately cometh upon'eth you'eth! Now'eth... uh... what's your name, again?"

Tannin stared blankly as his stupid son slowly shuffled closer before leaning down and whispering into her ear, cupping his hand around his mouth for some reason. He, if anyone ,should know that you couldn't fool a dragon's hearing so simply, did he hit his head again?... He wouldn't be surprised.

"Psst, Ane-san. One of the he old man's titles in the underworld is the Blaze Meteor Dragon, Tannin."

"Oh~ Got it now." She flailed her hand in Bova's direction making him retreat again as she turned back towards him and cleared her throat.

"Your'eth time'eth has come'eth upon you, Lace Meteor Dragon, Tanning! For you have met Koko, Child of Ophis and strongest Koko to ever exist! I hope you can entertain me!"

Koko said theatrically before crossing her arms in front of her and closed her eyes with a nod making a slight humph noise.

"..."

Tanning- Tannin... Let out a sigh as he slowly palmed his face. Although he should be surprised, he had a feeling that something like this was somehow bound to happen from what he'd seen of Koko so far. ...Well, most powerhouses has their eccentricities right? Two of the Satans were obsessed with their siblings while one of the other ones probably slept more than he was awake and the last one was a walking computer.

Tannin resigned himself as he ignored his stupid son trying to muffle his laughter since he could feel Ophis glaring at him to play along, he very much liked it better when he was ignored thank you very much.

Sighing slightly, Tannin struck a pose.

"I see. It seems my fate has went against me. Let us commence our battle, as is our destiny!" He started monotonously before quickly putting some life into his voice when Ophis started glaring at him harder.

"Kay, now we can fight!" Koko happily shouted before her sillhouette flickered, appearing in front of Tannin with her fist cocked back and a smile on her face.

Tannin quickly leaned back dodging her fist only to get hit with the tail of her Punching Rig she quickly equipped and was sent flying with a metallic clang as he felt his arms tremble from the force, managing to just barely block it. Though he didn't get far before he felt his body slow to a stop before getting pulled towards Koko's gauntlet again.

"Get over here!" Koko shouted as she reared back for another punch.

Tannin kept his calm as his body flew closer, just before contact he used his wings to give him a push, sailing over her and using the momentum to give her a smack with his tail sending her flying.

Tannin stabilized himself back onto the ground as he kept his eyes on her, seeing her body suddenly stop and turn around while still in the air before shooting towards him again. He took a deep breath and ignited the air and mana in his stomach before letting out a massive wave of scorching flames making the surroundings pop with small combustions just from the heat alone.

He kept up his flame breath before suddenly hearing an impact an instant before his jaw was punched shut with a loud clack as Koko appeared again looking no worse for wear. Not letting up, Koko continued to lay into him with punches strong enough to crack his scales making him unable to do much else.

Trying to ignore the pain of his body slowly getting destroyed Tannin got an idea and quickly shifted to his smaller form, Koko's punch sailing over him as he flew around her, grabbed the back of her shirt and threw her into the air.

Tannin shifted back to his real size and shot after her with a flap of his wings, the two of them starting a fist fight in the air that shook the surroundings with each impact. Koko's sharp eyes were locked onto Tannin, watching how and when he moved as she gradually started picking up his patterns and habits, slowly overwhelming Tannin despite his centuries of experience.

Eventually Koko's eyes flashed as an opportunity appeared, batting his arm away, she gave him a strong hit to the temple making his body spin and grabbed his tail, going with the rotation and using it to throw him into a large mountain a few miles away.

Tannin's disoriented body quickly impacted it's side with a loud sound as a spiderweb of cracks spread around him. Taking a few seconds to get his bearings back by shaking his head Tannin had just enough time to see Koko appearing above him with her gauntlet clad fists clasped together encased in a purple aura before she smashed down towards his body.

"Koko Smash: 5 In 1!"

Tannin's eyes widened as he felt the threat of death and quickly used all his adrenaline fuelled strength to quickly shift to his smaller size barely an instant before she made contact, her fists continuing to the mountain.

For a few moments it was like the world had stopped completely trying to register the damage done unto it before a massive sound akin to a nuke going off rang out, feeling like it shook half the underworld. An enormous cloud of dust shot into the sky as the world around them trembled by the force, lasting for what felt like several minutes before gradually coming to a stop.

Tannin being so close to the source was instantly blown away feeling like someone had just punched his organs directly, he blacked out for a second and came back to see a giant mushroom cloud where the mountain had originally been. His ears which were slightly ringing just barely managed to catch what sounded like a whisper before another four equally devestating impacts resounded in quick succession.

"Delayed!"
