Roach Queen

"Lydia, I feel like I need to tell you. Despite what happened with Koneko, I'm not a full on lolicon that lewds every little girl that he sees." I blandly stated as I looked at the little girl that Lydia brought to me before my trip to Kyoto.

"I implied nothing of the sort Lord Gold, I was just sweeping and she asked me if I could escort her to speak with the devils. However they are currently not there at the moment, so I wanted your input." Lydia responded in her usual respectful tone while I looked down at the little fox girl.

Isn't this Kunou? She seems a bit nervous, oh it looks like she's having an internal struggle about deciding something. But why would she ask Lydia about meeting the devils?

"Hello." Oh she finally spoke up. Oh and she's doing a formal bow, how cute. "I am Kunou, the current princess of the West Youkai faction stationed in Kyoto. I have come here in hopes of an audience with the Devil Rulers of Kuoh." Dayum this girl knows how to give an introduction.

"Before that, why would you ask us specifically? Were just humans you know." I was curious on why she thinks that we would have any interactions with the supernatural considering that we should be just humans.

She looked at me for a moment, then pointed to Lydia. "She is releasing a lot of energy." I blinked at that and turned back to Lydia.

Now that I think about it, after all the enhancements and crap that I've done with Lydia so that she could stand her own in this world. I never did teach her to conceal the magical energy she naturally exuded now. I sort of forgot, plus I'm usually busy with other things so I just got used to it. Whoops.

"Well I feel stupid now. But it's just another thing to add to the to-do-list." I shrugged as I was getting used to things that I was always too lazy to deal with coming back to bite me.

I turned my attention back to the little girl. "Well sorry to tell you, but the two rulers are currently out dealing with some business at the moment." I confirmed for her, grimacing a little as I watched her expression drop to disappointment.

I think I heard Serafall dragging her sister somewhere for something while Rias is still busy training for the match against Riser. Oh god, she's tearing up a little. Her little shoulders are shaking from her attempts to hold back the tears.

"But... why don't you tell me what your problem is, maybe I can help you." Damn you conscience. I can't take the look of her depressed expression when I'm sober. Reminds me, I need another elder blunt. I wonder if I can make a drink using an elder scroll.

Another thing to put on the to-do-list.

Seated atop what seemed to be a throne of garbage, a dark skinned girl that wore a tattered shirt munched on some leftover cheese pizza. Her shoulder-length white hair was oddly symmetrical despite looking disheveled with two thick strands shaped into antennas. Over all she could have passed as a human, except for the chitin shell that covered her forearms and legs.

"What are you bothering me for?" The girl lazily questioned when she noticed a giant 5 ft roach skitter closer to her throne. A few other similarly large roaches were behind it, yet remained further away.

"My Queen, the youkai have retreated into their dimension. We have them surrounded, I can send message for the others to begin the assault at any time." The giant brown roach was somehow capable of speech.

"Don't be too hasty, they didn't retreat out of fear. I'm guessing Yasaka just wanted to move the battle to a place where they have the advantage." She assessed the situation calmly. "Either that, or it's a trap to wipe us out at once." They had them outnumbered, but she was not one to underestimate the Nine-tailed ruler.

"Then what are your commands my Queen?" The giant roach asked. The Queen stood up from her throne and tossed aside her slice of pizza.

"Obviously I'm going to head there myself and crush any plan they can bring out." She smirked as the sound of panicked skittering noisily echoed through the room.

"But what if something were to happen to you!?"

"No! We are enough to crush these youkai!"

"This is too risky!"

The constant chatters of protest were apparent as their queen coldly looked around at her subjects.

"SILENCE!" Her voice boomed out in a shockwave. Hundreds of thousands of roaches were sent flying back along with all the garbage littered across the ground.

"If I cannot even crush these youkais myself, then how can I call myself a Queen?"An overwhelming force was released from her body. The unbearable pressure in the air was nearly enough to squash the younger roaches.

"I will crush whatever plan they have and have Yasaka's corpse beneath my feet." The millions of roaches around her quieted down in respect to their queen.

"Maybe after I have proven myself as Queen, father would accept me." She muttered as she began to lead the way towards the enemy.

Gathered within a temple, a group of various youkai were gathered around a long table. They had each been defending certain parts of Kyoto from the endless waves of roaches. The assaults never seemed to end and while they were capable of effectively stopping the roaches, it was wearing them down mentally.

"Lady Yasaka, why have you called everyone back?" a dog-faced youkai asked. There seemed to be dark spots under his eyes indicating how tired he was. It was a similar case with every other youkai there, they had all fought non-stop for the last week since the invasion began.

"Yes, there was no need to call us back. We could have still fought for another week if needed." A tengu spoke out. What was left unsaid was that they would have only lasted another week before collapsing from exhaustion.

Yasaka gazed at her weary subordinates with sympathy. She was also tired, but the roaches had not broken through the barriers surrounding her temple. Instead they seemed more interested in observing it. She wanted to leave her temple to assist, but the battles were spread too far out and she couldn't be everywhere at once.

"We cannot win in a battle of attrition." She stated it as a fact. The roaches breeded at an insane rate, it was a city wide infestation. "So I have called you all back to lure out their queen."

"How can you be sure that their Queen would come for us if were all gathered here?" Yasaka smiled at the question.

"If she's a Queen, she should have some pride. The chance to defeat us all herself is quite the bait." All rulers will have a certain amount of pride to them.

"Their Queen hasn't been interested in making an appearance herself though." A monkey headed youkai voiced out. It was true, they had only heard of the Queen from the amount of times a larger roach would shout out 'FOR THE QUEEN!'. Despite being aware of the existence of such a Queen, she hadn't showed up herself at all.

"True, she seems to be the analytical type. Using her pride may not work." Yasaka agreed that it may not work. "But it doesn't matter, currently the roaches are unable to break the barriers. If the Queen wants to break it, then she would have to do it herself." From observations they have seen that the larger roaches had recently attempted to break through with no results.

"What methods do you have planned to exterminate these insects then?" Another youkai asked curiously.

"I accepted help recently."

"What?! But Lady Yasaka, it isn't wise to be in debt to the devils or fallen!" They wanted to remain neutral considering the current tension between the three factions. There had been rumors of war breaking out again in the recent years and the Youkai wanted to stay out of it.

"I know, which is why this help is from none of the three factions." She stated calmly.

"Then who will we receive help from?" They wanted to know just who would be capable of assisting them. However before Yasaka could respond, the rushing of footsteps was heard outside the room.

The group turned to look at the door opening as a Tengu guard kneeled on the floor "Lady Yasaka! The roaches are making odd movements!" he reported as everyone got up to assess the situation.

The disgustingly incessant scuttling of movement the sounded out from outside the barrier was enough to give anyone the feeling of something crawling underneath their clothes.

Yasaka walked out with her group to see the pitch black ground outside the barrier. However if one were to look closely, they would be able to see that the ground was composed of roaches.

Billions, trillions, perhaps even more than that. That would be the first numbers that would pop in an average person's mind if they were to ask how many roaches were out there.

The endless sea of roaches was a horrific and disgusting sight. Their bodies were surrounding the barrier, however they remained a small distance from it in fear of being incinerated by it.

"She's coming." The Nine-tailed leader stated, her eyes focused on something in the far off distance.

Then everything went silent. All at once, the moving sea of roaches halted their movements.

"What's going on?" A Tengu guard asked a bit fearfully. A nervous feeling washed down everyone as they continued to look in the direction their leader was focused at.

Then as if they were a hive mind, the sea of roaches split in two. It was as if they were witnessing a re-enactment of Moses splitting the sea.

Then they saw her. Her height wasn't imposing, only roughly 5'5 if one were to guess. Her arms were on the lean yet muscular side, covered by chitin from her hands to her forearm. She wore a tattered shirt, and her hair was a bit of a mess. However despite all that, there was a certain invisible aura she seemed to exude that reeked of power.

The Roach Queen continued to slowly move towards the dome-like barrier surrounding the Youkai. She wasn't in a rush, as if she was taking a leisure stroll, she continued her walk in a peaceful manner.

The heavy air was weighing down on everyone as they watched her move ever so closer to the barrier. In time she had finally reached the barrier, she stood outside of it, as if she was admiring it.

"I'll give you one chance." The Roach Queen's voice wasn't that loud, yet it was so easily heard through the silence. "Surrender or die like a bitch." she stated her ultimatum.

Many of the Youkai became enraged, yet held their tongue. Not just out of respect of their leader, but because of the raw power that they felt from the Roach Queen now that she was close enough. Like Yasaka, she was an Ultimate-class being.

Yasaka never took her fox eyes off the Roach Queen. She thought back to the person her daughter showed up with. A gentle smile graced her lips, then it morphed into a fanged smirk. "Come and get me, bitch." Her response made the Roach Queen's eyes narrow.

"Then die." she winded her arm back as a golden light flashed from her eyes for a second. Her arm seemed to expand in size for a moment with raw power, only to recompress back into it's original size.

Then she swung.

*CRACK* The moment her chitin fist made contact with the barrier, fox-fire ignited on her hand. She looked at it for a moment and whistled a little impressed.

Many Youkai breathed a sigh of relief, although she made a small crack in the barrier, it would repair itself quickly. The barrier was powered by Yasaka's own flames, if the Roach Queen kept trying then she might end up getting incinerated by the fox-fire.

"Nice trick, but it's not enough." The Roach Queen began punching the barrier non-stop ignoring the flames that engulfed her hands.

*CRACK*CRACK*CRACK*CRACK*

The eyes of all the Youkai began widening along with the cracks in the barrier that continued to spread. Then with one final strike, it shattered.

"Don't say I didn't warn you." She smiled, ignoring the flames that were climbing up her arms. Then to everyones disbelief, her arms seemed to drop down to the ground, as if they were detached from her body.

"That was pretty hot, but not enough." She smirked as new arms seemed to sprout out from her stubs. "Now then. Kill them all." With that order, the silence disappeared and was replaced by the familiar sound of scuttling again.

"Don't think we'll just lie down and die!" The Youkai gripped their weapons as it was do or die now. The endless sea of roaches were encroaching onto them.

"I can't tell if you're just that brave or don't realize the situation your in to remain as calm as you are." The Roach Queen spoke to Yasaka over the sound of her armies march.

"And I can't tell if you're stupid enough to think that I only relied on that barrier." Yasaka retorted while pointing up at the sky with her smirk never leaving her face.

The white clouds covering in the sky immediately gave way to a giant rock descending from the sky. No to be more exact it looked more like an Island.

"KUAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHA" The laugh of a familiar blonde resonated through space as the armies halted to look up towards the golden armored man. The Roach Queen froze, her fists clenched tightly at the sight of the man above the clouds.

"TELL ME! DO YOU GET TO THE CLOUD DISTRICT OFTEN!?" Gold Aversis shouted out his rhetorical question as the sky seemed to shatter, revealing a larger dome barrier that covered the entire world.

The army of roaches were boxed in with no way to escape. Atronachs and dragons began to appear from behind their lines.

Despite the chaos within her army, the Roach Queen's eyes never left that golden figure, She clenched her teeth and shouted towards the sky.

"FAAATTTHHER!!!!!!!!" Her roar boomed out enough to cause space itself to shake.

"I'M NOT YOUR DAD!" Gold immediately retorted while pointing at the girl.
