The Boosted Gear

Longinus. A sacred gear with enough power to kill Gods. It's completely impossible to tell when and where these things pop up. Simply put, for supernatural beings, these things are a gigantic pain in the ass. On a side note, Mike doesn't have a sacred gear but he also looked into the Sacred Gear System in heaven and tried to remove the 'bugs' in it. But he failed in removing them too. Mike really hates how complicated the systems are.

And one of those Longinus is the Boosted Gear or the Red Dragon Emperor's Gauntlet. It has the power to enhance the user's power. And that is in the hands of the crazy girl who loves Mike a little too much.

Mike was surprised when he looked at the Boosted Gear. He had mixed feelings that the wielder is Nozomi. For now, Mike decided to act as if he knows nothing.

"Umm, Nozomi, what is that?"

"Oh, I don't really know. But all I know is that this thing increases my power."

Mike looked at Irina "A tool to increase power huh... Does anyone else know about this thing beside you two?"

By the looks of it, Nozomi must have manifested the Boosted Gear for a long time. But Mike didn't get any info about this even though Mike often gathers a lot of secret info. So, someone must have helped these girls to keep it under the wraps. So Mike thinks that Touji might know about this.

"Hmm... Those bullies know this but when they tried to tell others about it, the others thought that they were just making excuses after being beaten down by a girl. And the only other person who knows about this is Papa." Irina confirmed Mike's thoughts.

"Did 'Touji-san' say anything else about this thing?" Mike asked.

"Ah, Papa said that God bestowed this power to Nozomi because she's a good girl. So, she shouldn't misuse this power. And Papa also said that we should keep this power as a secret and should only be used under necessary conditions."

"But since you are my Hubby, I want you to know about it!"

Mike's evaluation of Touji raised. Normally, these cases are reported to the higher officials so that the church can make the Sacred Gear wielders as allies or subordinates. But Touji chose to keep this a secret so that Nozomi and her family can have a peaceful life. So, this brought Mike to the next question.

"What exactly happened in the past?"

Mike more or less figured out what happened but he asked for the exact details. Nozomi started speaking with an unpleasant look.

"Well, Hubby likes my hair, right?"

"I do. I still think that it's the most beautiful hair I have ever seen."

"Hehehe..." And Nozomi went into a bliss. Irina brought her out of it. And Nozomi's tone became serious "I was bullied because of my hair. Their bullying even went as far as hurting me physically. I complained about it to the teacher but the teacher will just let them go with a warning. That fat guy comes from some influential family, it seems. And my parents love my hair too. So, I didn't let them know about the hair they like so much being made fun of. And I endured it. Even though they beat me, even though pushed me into the water, even though they wrote anything they wished on the board or my desk, I endured it and then..."

Before Nozomi could say anything else, Mike interrupted her "Wait, Nozomi. can you tell me the name of that fat guy?"

"Why, Hubby?"

Mike kept a calm face while clenching his fist. Nozomi casually told the name of the bully. Incidentally, in a few days, the companies run by the fat guy's family will collapse and go bankrupt because an unknown person will hack into their high-security servers and will reveal all their corrupt business to the public.

Anyway, Nozomi continued her story "And after that, Shidou-kun and her family transferred to our neighborhood. Shidou-kun became my friend and transferred to the same school. She found out about the bullying and tried to stop it. So, they started beating her. That made me angry at how weak I am. So, I wished for power. And this thing manifested on my arm. So, I beat down all of those with this power."

Irina continued from there "Incidentally, Nozomi's family and my family found out about it. So, Papa used his influence to stop any further bullying. Papa made this power stay as a secret by making others believe that the bullies are lying. But Nozomi didn't stop at that. She trained herself and became the queen of the school and stopped all the bullying in the school."

'Wow. This girl is something else.' Mike thought as he listened to the story. He smiled at them.

"Well, if you trust me so much that you reveal this to me, I guess I should also make some exceptions. The thing is I have a lot of secrets. Even my name is just a nickname to my real name. I am sorry that I can't reveal all of them to you." Mike apologized to both.

"Well, Hubby is Hubby. I don't really care."

"I already thought that Mike is mysterious. But like Nozomi, I don't care too."

Nozomi and Irina aren't that surprised.

"So, can you keep what I am about to say to you as a secret? You can't tell anyone. Not even Touji-san."

Both of them nodded at Mike's words. Normally, like won't reveal this but Nozomi will eventually know if Ddraig awakened.

"So, the thing on your arm is called the Boosted Gear. I know a thing or two about it. God bestowed humans with tools with powerful abilities called Sacred Gears. Boosted Gear is one of them. But the problem with this thing is that if used to its limit, the Boosted Gear can kill Gods."

When Mike said it, Nozomi's expression is calm but Irina's eyes opened wide "It can kill the God of Bible?"

'Well, no. Because he is already dead' Mike thought internally but stayed silent. But Irina took the silence as a yes. Mike continued his explanation.

"Now you can guess why Touji-san told to not use this carelessly. The Boosted Gear can increase a person's power to the limit. To be exact, it doubles the user's power every 10 seconds. But that's not the main issue. The Boosted Gear has the Red Dragon Emperor inside it."

"You mean Ddraig?"

Mike didn't know what to say when Nozomi casually said that name. Mike understood that things might have gotten a little serious.

"Can I talk to him?" Mike asked.

"No. He can only talk to me. And that's also in my dreams. He can't communicate through any other means."

"Wait, are you saying that Ddraig can't communicate with the outside world?" Mike didn't understand what Nozomi meant.

"Ah, he told me about it. It seems that I am unconsciously keeping him from interacting with the outside world. He always complains about not having anything to do and unable to view the outside world and how he can do nothing but sleep when I am not talking to him. Oh, and he also said that some white one won't come after me because that red lizard can't interact with the outside world."
