A new life

Azrael POV:

I knew I had been asleep for an entire day, as well as the fact that I did not smell the best, so I headed towards the bathroom to clean myself.

After freshening myself, I headed downstairs and made my way to the kitchen, where I saw the kitchen table. Aunt Maria was already seated alongside her grandfather, who was an old man in his late 70's.

Although I had the memory of the previous Azrael, I could not find myself thinking of them as family, as unlike those sad reincarnated beings, I once had a family that I cared for deeply. I can't just easily forget about them and accept the fact that I have a new family.

3rd POV:

As Azrael sat at the table alongside them, he had to say that the food in front of him, which was fresh and smoked salmon alongside some salad dressing, looked very appetizing.

He slowly started to eat in order to properly appreciate how delicious it was. After finishing his food, he clapped his hands and said, "This meal was delicious." Whoever cooked it deserves some praise. "

"Thanks Azrael, it sure did take some time to make," Maria said as she rose from her chair and used her magic to levitate the utensils to the sink to clean them.

Azrael turned himself to his grandfather, George Sephtis, and asked him the question, "Grandpa, remember when you described your profession?" Could you please repeat it again? "

"It's good to see you up again, Azrael." As you may know, I am a magician who is part of the organisation 'Grauzauberer'. Even though I may have gotten a bit old and rusty, I still retain my power as a high-middle class magician. " George Sephtis spoke.

According to George, it was one of the leading magicians' organisations in the supernatural world, and it was founded by the magician Johann Georg Faust, who died, and after his death, the devil Mephisto Pheles took over as acting chairman.

"I see, Grandpa. "Can you tell me about your fight with the stray devils?" asked Azrael as he tried to get as much information as he could about his current situation.

"Let me see, first we had to gain permission to act in that area in order to fulfil the mission, whilst tracking those pesky stray devils was a bit harder than usual, but overall not that difficult." Our team managed to find them and were able to get rid of them with relative ease thanks to magic based on light. "

"I believe I have done enough for the organisation and should retire. My age is catching up to me, don't you think? " George Sephtis spoke.

Azrael's POV:

After agreeing with my grandfather and asking him a few more questions, I was able to learn that Kuoh town, in which we currently reside close to, is ruled over by the high-class devil, Cleria Belial.

This knowledge was helpful for me as it meant that Rias Gremory had not yet taken over the town and that the plot had not yet begun.

Knowing this, I made my way to my room. After dressing myself up, I told my aunt and grandfather that I was heading out to the park in Kuoh town and would be back home by sunset.

I had decided that it would be best for me to find Issei Hyoudou in order to know how much time I had before things started to become lively again, as well as to familiarise myself with one of the epicentres of future events that would take place here.

As I exited the house, I took in a deep breath and stared up at the light blue sky with my heterochromatic eyes for a few moments before stating that "From now on, I have to do whatever I can in order to achieve my dreams."

This is my first attempt at writing so It may not be the best story out there however I will try to make it enjoyable for you to read. Please support me by telling me how to improve my work . Tell me where I did well and where I can improve. I don't mind criticism as long as it is not pure bias and hatred and think that it is positive criticism is good as it will help me develop my writing.
