The Amulet

It was time to see if he could sense the mana in the air and hopefully absorb it as well.

Ryujin closed his eyes and regulated his breathing.

Soon he entered a state of meditation.

Time passed.

Ryujin tried as much as he could but even after an hour he couldn't sense anything.

'I suppose it wouldn't be that easy.' He knew that his method was correct but for some reason, he had failed.

Shaking his head in disappointment he started searching for some martial arts dojos in the neighborhood.

It wasn't like he never fought in his previous life but all of them were wild fights and that couldn't be accepted here.

Soon 3 months had passed.

Ryujins daily life was no different from before.

He would start meditation after breakfast till 3 pm.

The amount of resolution he had was impressive. After all, sitting in a single position for many hours wasn't an easy task.

From 3-4, he would randomly surf the internet to refresh his mind. He wasn't some kind of machine, he needed to keep his mind clear as well.

He had also subtlety influenced his parents to ignore him unless it was for something important.

From 4 - 4:30, he would play with Irina and Issei but he forced them to play 'Tag' with him since it would help him maintain his body. He also used small rewards like candies or drawings so that they agreed.

Did he mention that he was quite good at drawing in his previous life?

Why waste 30 minutes for no reason?

Issei would end up marveling at both of them while Irina found it annoying that she could never catch him. Issei was just an average kid but Irina was fast, very fast. So it was quite hard for Ryujin to not get caught by her.

If it wasn't for this Ryujin wouldn't waste his time coming here.

After that, he would head to the dojo for two hours. It was mainly Kick-Boxing and Krav Maga.

Kick Boxing training would allow him to increase his strength while Krav Maga would allow him to efficiently use that strength.

His was body had grown quite well defined and was completely different from three months ago.

Honestly, he loved both of them but he knew that after learning things similar to magic he might rarely use them in the future.

After he returned home from the dojo he would rest and meditate for a few hours again before having dinner and sleeping after surfing the web once again.

One might ask if he didn't have school. He was a kid after all.

Once again controlling his parents he har ordered them to not send him to school from now on and also inform the school that he was transferring and wouldn't be coming anymore.

No way in hell was he wasting time at school.

There was also the time when some of 'Yato's' friends came to visit but he ignored them or directly said that they were no longer friends and to not meet him anymore.

The male friends were either puzzled or scoffed at his rudeness while the girls just became sad and one of them even cried.

But none of this affected Ryujin.

Kids were stupid any way, They would forget it in a few days.

Just like that, another 16 days passed and on a fortunate day, Ryujin felt something in his body pop open and start getting filled.

He opened his eyes and saw that he was in a special state. He was still in meditation but he had no disturbing thoughts.

The most beautiful thing was the different colors of particles floating around him. If it weren't for the little light they emitted Ryujin wouldn't have been able to see them.

They were a lot of colors like Red, Blue, Green, Yellow, White, and Black.

As soon as he saw them Ryujin felt a desire to devour them and as soon as he wished for that the particles stirred up and moved in his direction. As he looked at them he saw the yellow particles move faster than all of the others, or maybe the rest were moving very slowly.

As soon as the yellow particles entered his body through his skin he felt a sort of pleasure course through his body.

Soon he realized that the rest of the particles floated around him but didn't enter.

To his surprise, a greenish glow emitted from his body and created a green transparent dome around his body.

The dome started spinning very speedily and it seemed like it had some kind of suction force that forced all the particles regardless of their color.

As soon as those particles touched the surface of the dome they shot towards Ryujin's body and entered it.

Ryujin's eyes grew bloodshot and a muffled groan of pain escaped his lips. He fell on his knees and his body kept trembling.

After the pain subsided Ryujin's eyes widened in surprise before they narrowed in thought.

'The amulet.'

'To think that it still had some use.' He was once again provided some information from the amulet.

Those particles represented the elements present. This wasn't surprising and Ryujin had guessed this already.

Red was Fire, Blue was Water, Green was Wind, White was Light, Black was Darkness and Yellow was Lightning/Thunder.

His original affinity was with lightning and his guess was right. It was the yellow particles moving very fast and the rest moving slower.

But due to the dome created by the amulet the elements regardless of nature were forced into his body.

The amulet had forcefully changed his constitution. He now had 100% Element Affinity and there would be no clash between elements in his body.

What did that mean?

It meant he could combine and use elements that can't co-exist with each other together at the same time.

Soon the dome around his body disappeared.

Ryujin once again meditated and this time every elemental particle was rushing towards him.

Seeing this he temporarily stopped and a smile spread across his face.and he let out a laugh.

"Hahahahahah..."

Seeing the scene from before Ryujin could no longer hold his laughter in.

It was a laugh full of pure joy.
