Chapter 24

I used my clone body on Earth, to connect to their mind dimension. The plants started to worship me as soon as they felt my divine consciousness. My mere presence reinforced the realm, and they became my new subordinates.

My position was not of a king in this dimension, I was like the sun above the world, the dimension lord, and a form of world will. Much beyond an enforcer, my control over the dimension was absolute, and my mind was what formed the law of this world. The dimension became a reality of its own.

Mana sometimes was influenced by nature, which made it able to have strange characteristics like cold, draconic, etc... It was because of this that Antarctica had cold mana.

There was another magic species, which was found in Antarctica, they were the Cold Spirits. Sometimes the chaotic cold mana would converge forming, these spirits that have a cold magic power.

These spirits have a very weak consciousness and because of the sinking nature, like cold air, of their mana, ended up dispersing quickly, after being born. They could instinctively control the cold storm they were born from, making them born with an ultimate class strength. Their origin was similar to dragons, but their mana lacked the aggressiveness and domineering of draconic mana, making them, weirdly enough, to have an anti-dragon effect.

Cold spirits could freeze to death a dragon of ultimate class power and below.

Cold mana was a strange thing it freely circulated, in the cold air, ice, and even ocean; but it only had a unique characteristic of chaotic coldness, it could be liquid, gaseous, or solid, in the end, the only thing that matters was that it could take cold powers to another level.

So time passed, it was now time to visit an auction, to which me and my wives were invited. Atlas accompanied us as a guard, which was more of a formality than anything. The auction would be on Vanaheim, the trade center of the Aesir empire.

This Norse realm was the home of the Vanir, a race of gods, which is not much referred to in Norse mythology except for the Aesir-Vanir war. The Vanir were a group of gods associated with fertility, wisdom, and the ability to see the future; they also had one of the largest trading groups in the supernatural world.

This was mainly because although the Vanir, integrated with the Aesir rule after the war, except for some famous Vanir, most left Asgard to deal with their own mess, after all, they did not share the Aesir enmity with Jötunn(ice giants).

Selene had prepared our traveling itinerary. Vanaheim, also known as the Free Republic of Vanaheim, was surely beautiful. Instead of the golden scenery one would find on Asgard, the city had a silver futuristic appearance. Marble fountains and status could be found everywhere in the city. The streets seemed to be made out of jade. It was impossible to find a street without having at least a single store.

The city was divided into districts: the food district, with food stalls and supermarkets; the blacksmith district (instead of being filled with blacksmiths, it was a district where dwarves' products were resold and one could make an order for a weapon from Nidavelli, which was the dwarves home world); the apothecary district where magical herbs from Vanaheim, Alfheim, the light elves home, and all over the world; the commercial district where Vanir big corporations have their headquarters, commercial offices could be found, and the stock exchange happened; and finally, the political district where the national assembly and embassies could be found.

Truth be told, although in theory, they were part of the Asgard empire, they were practically a nation of their own, who kept the Aesir citizen vacate to increase their own influence in Asgard business.

In the blacksmith district, these days one could also be able to find the moon humans technology that became popular in the supernatural side of the world, because of its cheap prices.

The auction house stood in the political district. It was a building that could fit a Jötunn or even a Titan comfortably. It only had one floor though. Each of us was given a token. As we sent our power to the token it created a flying platform, and teleported us to it, where we could comfortably accompany the auction.

The podium was a flying inverted spherical dome, which allowed platform VIPs to watch the products more closely, and amplified the voice of the presenter to be hearable from all the auction building. To the normal participants, the dome released a big holographic projection, which could be seen from below. That was surely an interesting magic artifact, which gave a futuristic technology vibe.

"Now let's start the auction. First, we will start the auction with this hundred-year-old dragon Begonia. The starting bit will be one thousand Vanir golds."

Vanir gold is the official monetary system of Asgard, as the Vanir controlled the Aesir economy, before even Odin's ascension to the throne.

"One thousand and a hundred."

...

"Three thousand."

"Three thousand, one. Three thousand, two. Three thousand, three. Sold to the lady."

The auction progressed. Legendary weapons made by dwarves blacksmith gods and even some works from Hepaethus in Egypt.

"Jeweled Branch of Hōrai. This here is the Japanese variation, which is said to grand great wisdom and enlightenment. The starting bit is twenty thousand."

"Twenty and two thousand."

"Twenty and four thousand"

...

So it continued, until Medea bought it, for one hundred and thirty thousand. Several peculiar items were put to be sold including the fruit of the tree of knowledge of good and evil, an Asura ginseng, which was basically a ginseng nourished by an asura slaughter, this herb was produced by asuras of the Chinese pantheon, and not the ones from the Hindu pantheon; seedling from a Bodhi Tree; Mead of poetry, a mythical beverage that whoever drinks becomes a skald or scholar to recite any information and solve any question, according to Norse myths, although the effect was not that exaggerated it was still a useful item.

Medea showed no interest in the mead, as she had already bought the Jeweled Branch of Hōrai.
