"Well, why don't you see if it will be familiar," I told her. She was about to when something fell in between all of us. It was a green slime looking thing. I recognized it as a slime that eats clothes.

"Back away from the green slime.", I said not a moment too soon. When we all backed up, its friends all started falling.

I was about to destroy them with some fire but a lightning bolt beat me to it. I looked at the source and saw that the sprite dragon flew toward Asia and allowed her to grab it. "Well, looks like you have a familiar.", I told Asia.

"I think I'll name you Rassei.", she said. We all kept walking through the forest when we came across a small baby wolf who was injured.

Eri ran up to it out of worry. It started growling at her and she approached it slowly. "Don't worry I won't hurt you. Let me try healing you up.", she said, surprising me. I didn't know she had more control over her quirk.

She laid her hand on the wolf and the illusion fell. Her horn started glowing and the wolf started glowing as well. She removed her hand and her horn stopped glowing along with the wolf. The wolf stood up and shook its fur out. It looked at her and started licking her hand. She started giggling at it and petting it.

"Looks like you found a familiar Eri.", I said smiling at her while she was playing with her familiar.

She looked at me with wide eyes. "I can keep it?", she asked.

"That was the whole point of coming here.", I told her, making her hug the wolf. It licked her cheek and started barking, similar to a dog.

"I can't think of a name.", Eri said.

"You don't need to choose one now. You can decide later.", I told her, making her start thinking.

"Let's look a little bit longer. If we don't find anything we will leave.", I told them. They all nodded at me and we kept walking. While we were walking Ophis grabbed a hold of my sleeve causing me to stop. "Is something the matter of Ophis?", I asked her. She pointed toward a direction in the forest. Looking in the direction I saw something flying. It looked like a small firebird. 'Could it be a phoenix. I thought all true phoenixes went extinct.", I thought.

"It has a lot of power.", Ophis said. We all headed toward it and we saw it perch on a tree branch. True to my guess it was a baby phoenix. It was on fire but it wasn't burning the tree it was perched on.

I went toward it and it noticed me. It flicked its tail toward me and a small fire blast attacked me. It didn't phase me and I was surprised because the flames of a phoenix should have been stronger than what my [Fire Dragon Slayer] magic should block. I kept walking toward it and it seemed shocking that I didn't burn up.

I felt like something was trying to contact me through my thoughts. I was confused about this.

[Ding!]

[User is getting contacted by a Phoenix. Do you want to let it speak to you? It holds no ill intentions.]

[Yes] or [No]

I let it through and I started hearing a childish voice in my thoughts. "Who are you human? You survived my fire attack. Even if I recently was reborn, that should have been enough to kill you.", the voice of the phoenix asked me.

"My name is Mavros Haru. I was looking for a familiar and came across you. Would you be willing to become my friend?", I asked. I got weird looks from Asia and Eri but Ophis explained to them that the phoenix was speaking through my thoughts.

"You are not trying to force me. That is interesting. The last person who asked me was apparently one of my descendants turned devil. He was cocky, prideful, and a pervert. He was a disgrace to a phoenix." the phoenix said.

"Did this person speak in the third person?", I asked.

"Oh, god yes. It was annoying as hell. Riser this Riser that. I told him to leave if he didn't want me to take his phoenix spark. He ran away like a coward after that. It was hilarious.", the phoenix told me, causing me to chuckle.

"I bet it was. I wish I could have been there. What do you say about my partner? I need to be leaving soon because I'm guessing my daughter is getting tired.", I said looking at Eri who looked like she was falling asleep.

"I have nothing else better to do. This place is boring as hell.", it said, looking at me with a cheeky grin.

"That is a good pun. Since we're in hell it's boring as hell.", I told it while chuckling at it. The phoenix flew toward me and landed on my shoulder.

"I'll tell you my name another time, let's get your daughter to bed.", the phoenix said.

"I'm fine with that. Let's go home now girls.", I said, opening up another all headed inside and appearing in my apartment. Asia and Eri went to bed together since they were sharing a room. Ophis was adamant about sleeping with me. I couldn't stop her even if I wanted to, so I let her.

"I'll just explore your apartment. We will talk more tomorrow.", the phoenix told me flying off. I laid on my bed and Ophis cuddled up to me. I wrapped an arm around her and she snuggled closer. "Good night Ophis.", I told her.

"Good night... my mate.", she said before sleep took her.

When she said that my heart started beating real fast. 'She claimed to me. Why would she? Did I really make that much of an appreciation?', I asked myself but Ddraig answered.

'Dragons are greedy creatures. If we see something we want we will try and take it. I would recommend just allowing it. It's not like you don't have feelings for her.', Ddraig told me, causing my face to go red.

I decided to talk to her about it another time and fell asleep with Ophis.
