Chapter 20: back Kuroka

Entering the house everyone took a seat in the living room. As the group was still looking between Leo and Ophis who were seated next to each other.

Not being able to hold herself back Kuroka looked at Ophis and asked "Ne Ophis do you know him?"

Ophis looked at her and nodded and said "Umu…Leo the Cookie Man"

Hearing her the group was left speechless as Kuroka had a blank look on her face not knowing what to say. Leo's smile twitched as he heard Ophis's words.

"cough you can call me Leo, now tell me why you're here?" Leo said looking at the group ignoring the name Ophis gave him. Creating a bowl of cookies he gave it to Ophis who had literal stars in her eyes as started munching down the cookies.

Seeing her antics Leo laughed as he patted her head. While the group were questioning whether it was indeed the Dragon God they knew or some impostor.

Getting out of his thoughts as young man with silver hair and hazel eyes got up as he looked at Leo and said "I am here to challenge you to a fight!" aura of an battle maniac oozing from him.

Leo looked at him and said "Nah…I am not in the mood to fight, come again some other day" as he took some cookies from the bowl. Ophis would have killed the person who would try to take sweets from her but she let it be considering it was Leo.

Ever since she first met him she wasn't sure why but his presence felt like her home.

She still remembered when she first met him years back…

-[Flashback begins – it was when Leo had sent his clones to collect various bloodlines]-

Ophis looked at the human standing in front of her, she kept looking him from top to bottom then stopped and stared at him, as if trying to see through his very soul, she frowned for a bit then tilted her head and asked confusedly,

"Why do you feel like my home?"

'Damn she's cute!' Leo thought as he unconsciously patted her head.

As he patted her head, she went stiff for a moment as she didn't expect a human would be brave enough to touch her much else mess up her hair like this, but what was more surprising for her was that his hand gave her a sense of warmth she never felt before.

Patting her head for a while he took his hand back as he looked at her and said "To answer your question…I am not sure either"

Hearing him she stared at him for a while trying to intimidate him to which he just shrugged as if telling he really didn't know.

"Help me defeat baka-red, I will give you more strength" saying that she created a snake and held it towards him.

Looking at the snake, he smiled then flicked his fingers turning the snake to nothingness. Seeing her snake turn to nothingness, surprised her as he refused her power and also how easily he could destroy her snake, but this also convinced her that he could help her defeat baka-red.

"I don't need such things Ophis-chan, if I defeat this baka-red someday then it will be with my own strength" saying that his eyes glowed black for a split second but that was enough for Ophis to realise his strength was something which could destroy even her who was the embodiment of Infinity itself. But for that split second she also felt like she was back to her source, her origin, she didn't know why though.

[A/N : that was because Leo has power of Void, don't worry I'll be explaining it in future ]

Leo then created a bowl full of cookies and looked at Ophis who was staring at the cookies.

"Here how about having some cookies with me and you can tell me why you want to defeat this baka-red of yours"

Ophis didn't know what cookies were but nodded nonetheless. Seeing her nod he smiled as he pulled her closer as the two sat on the flying carpet he made.

Ophis took a cookie as she smelled it first then took a bite as soon as she did that Leo could see literal stars in her eyes as she got to munching down the cookies. Seeing her he laughed as he patted her head and said "Now-now slow down there no need to hurry" to which she visibly calmed down.

[A/N : and that is how Ophis was brought to The Dark Side ]

After a while he asked her to tell him the reason of wanting to defeat Great Red, which she answered in a fairy tale way as – A long-long time ago in the mystical realm which is an endless void where in every direction, there is a mix of iridescent colours a black dragon was born and lived there peacefully enjoying its silence when one day, a big bad red dragon with a horn came and stole her home, the red dragon was very noisy and wild, taking away the silence which the black dragon enjoyed.

Hearing her, he was laughing at the way she described her situation. Seeing him laughing like that she look annoyed and with a slight pout she turned her head away.

Looking at her antics he laughed a bit more but then stopped and patted her head.

"Sorry-sorry …well I don't mind helping you but not right now but don't worry I'll help you out in future when we meet again"

Hearing him she was bit sad but then nodded her head. As the two then enjoyed the cookies in silence while in each-others embrace.

Shaking her head she looked at Leo for a while then got back to focusing on her cookies.

"If you only require motivation to fight me how about I kill your fam-" was all Vali could say before he was punched at an insane speed as he crashed through buildings and finally landing on the ground creating a big crater.
