DxD | Child of Ira

Reincarnation was a treasured dream for many people and I had been lucky enough to receive it. I was granted a wonderful family, plenty of wealth, and the blessing of magic but everything came at a cost. In this case, it was the intrinsic danger of the world where gods roamed freely and myth was merely a forgotten truth. I had been reborn in Highschool DxD. **** If you enjoy my work you can support me on patre*on.com/TrapOverlord for up to 12 chapters ahead.

Chapter 126

"Lord Odin?!" Naturally, it was Rossweisse who was the first to react to her leader's arrival, his familiar and expertly infuriating laughter nearly sending her into a fit. Odin always did this! He would send her out and watch from the sidelines until he decided to come out and be the hero so he could revel in the awe of beautiful women!

"Is that surprising to see me?" Cackling like a fool Odin reveled in the amazement and gratitude sent his way. It wasn't why he came but it certainly made the deal sweater. Maybe he won't have to ask for that much from the Malevolent Star.

"Yes!" Still screaming in surprise Rossweisse could hardly believe what she was seeing not because she couldn't believe Odin would do such a thing but rather because she hadn't expected him to!

"Yes, well, I'm here now. I hope you all don't mind the intrusion." Amicably speaking to the rest who were still surprised by his arrival Odin didn't spend much time on them, his eye firmly locked onto Hades who looked at him hatefully.

There were plenty of reasons why Odin would not want Hades to win this battle as nobody would want his version of paradise. However, the main reason didn't even include this battle and was more so just paying back a favor that hasn't happened yet. ExE, a force that he saw coming for centuries yet could little to stop. The Malevolent Star had changed that future.

"Odin." Growling out his opponent's name Hades was overflowing with hatred. There were plenty of times when the factions were far from peaceful and Hades and Odin often clashed in the past, there was no world where Hades could be like the old coot after that.

"That is my name." Odin spoke, his spear blurring as a thick blast of deathly energy was sent flying high into the sky. Clicking his tongue like a disappointed parent Odin shook his head wryly, his frown deepening at his shaking hand.

At his peak, Odin was around the level of the tenth strongest being but that was long ago and Hades had quickly surpassed that. His methods were rash and foolish but it was undeniable that they had made him stronger. Alone, he had no chance of victory.

"I'm sorry to be so bold but I'd like to request your help." Though he spoke to all of them, Odin's eye was mostly focused on the three emperors. The rest were sure to play their part however those three would be the main forces.

Nodding in agreement without any hesitation the rest were glad to have the assistance of an elder god such as himself. They were all confident in their victory but help was always a welcome thing.

"No. This charade has gone on long enough." Solemnly declaring their fate an absurd amount of deathly energy billowed out of the bony god. The energy expelled from him was more than entire gods would have in their lives and yet he released it so haphazardly.

Darkness spread to match the grey energy, devouring it in an attempt to limit the spread but it was futile. The energy grew faster than Balor's darkness could eat, blood leaking from Gasper's pores as he strained his body to the extreme.

"Gasper!" Shouting in concern Rias ran up to her bishop as she helped him stand. The waves of darkness still spread out from him as he forced his body further and further but it was no use. It was too little too late.

"Are you attempting to die honorably this late into things?" It was only Odin who kept his calm despite the absurd amount of energy surrounding them. Even in such a primal state, it would be easy enough to destroy any pantheon he pleased. Of course, Hades wasn't free from it either.

"Die? Me? It seems you've gone crazy. I am death itself, I won't be subjected to my own authority." Though Hades' words were completely false Odin still believed he had a way to survive this as he claimed. A man with such determination wouldn't accept such an end after all.

"Maybe I am crazy. To think I'd believe such a monster would be my savior." Accompanying Odin's words was the grey deathly energy turning a familiar shade of pink and vanishing entirely in less than a second.

"You are crazy but not for this." Familiar soft laughter echoed throughout the battlefield as eyes turned toward the source in the blink of an eye. Though his form was bloody and his clothes were torn it was clear to see who had arrived.

"Damian Thaumiel!" Spitting out the words hatefully Hades glared at the young man in pure hatred. He could tell that he was outmatched, no it wasn't even far to consider it as such. The boy in front of him was literally a higher existence being.

Perfection rolled into a humanoid shape, power so boundless that Hades was sure that this world was in the palm of his hands, and the ability to do whatever he pleased. Damian Thaumiel had everything the god wanted and yet did nothing with it!

"Damian. Ordes was…" Intervening quickly Ddraig immediately told Damian the bad news. It took only a moment for Damian to look around the battlefield for the fourth emperor and in the place of the rage Ddraig expected instead Damian just forcefully brought two people to him.

"Thank you for that." Thanking the girl, Meredith Ordinton, Damian took the crown of nails she passed to him. The nails had the power to contain anything and Ordes was no exception. It was only a portion of his being but this was more than enough.

Shattering the nails the blue sphere within was revealed to the world, its shape morphing and changing into what appeared to be an ice cube. It appeared simple and yet the frost emanating from it froze everything whether it be the gap or time itself.

"It'll take a while for him to wake up so why don't we talk for a while?" Grabbing Hades by the shoulder Damian didn't care for the fear that appeared in the god's eyes as he forcefully dragged him thousands of miles away in the blink of an eye.

Though Ordes would survive the experience of losing somebody close to him was not something Damian enjoyed. As the reincarnation of Satan, the being of wrath, it was only natural that he act according to his desires.

That was why, Hades was never seen again.
