Chapter 71 Report Continued

Hearing Synthia's words, Kirt lowered his hand and dismissed the sparks of lightning.

'This guy's gotten way top arrogant since he got his [Lightning Affinity]. Maybe I should take him down a peg or two.' I thought and my eyes glowed a bit before dimming once again.

"Ok then now that everything is settled, could you please continue your report Colin." Synthia said and sat back down on the sofa followed by the others.

"Just a moment." I said and created a small fireball at the tip of my finger. I threw the fire at the blood splashed on the ground and the blood on the ground instantly evaporated without even leaving a scorch on the floor or walls.

"Okay now I'm ready." I said and sat back down on the the sofa and Alice sat beside me. The others were still looking at Alice a bit wearily and I couldn't blame them but if they did something stupid like attacking her then....

"So after observing the trees for a while I heard a loud explosion and knowing that it had something to do with Alice I flew towards it. Come to think of it, how did they find you in the first place?" I asked and turned towards Alice and she started shifting uncontrollably on the sofa.

"W-well, uhm.....oh right they had a wolf that could track aura." She blurted out after fumbling for a while.

"A wolf?" I said and I remember the wolf I incinerated when I rescued her.

"Yeah. That wolf could track my aura and it could even dispel my [Shadow Cloak] by roaring. And it's could even bite through my Shadow tentacles with it's fangs." She said and caressed her leg where she was bitten.

"After following the explosions for sometime I found an injured Alice in the midst of battle with a greater imp and the wolf she mentioned. I killed both of them quickly and told her to hid while I led the other Greater imps away. Then I got into a fight with another Greater imp and a dog and I was able to easily kill them but I was stalled long enough for the other ones to catch up. I was trapped in something called a [Demon Ritual: Devil Dome]." I said and paused so that they can take in what I just said.

"How did you know it is called [Demon Ritual: Devil Dome]?" Synthia asked

"My opponent told me." I replied and she raised an eyebrow.

"He just told you that." She said skeptically

"She not he and she seemed pretty confident in killing me and that confidence wasn't misplaced since she almost did. So do you have any idea what this [Demon Ritual: Devil Dome] is?" I asked

"No, I have some idea what a [Demon Ritual] is but I don't know all of them." She said with a hand on her chin.

"So what are they?" I asked

"Oh right, [Demon Rituals] are techniques used by demon that uses a combination of chanting in Lilim and [Demonic Energy Manipulation] to cause various effects. Infact Angels have a similar ritual called [Holy Rituals] where we use hagios and [Holy Energy Manipulation]. But unfortunately you have to have multiple Angels to actually perform these rituals. Either way please continue the report." Synthia said and turned towards me.

"There is not much left to tell really. We fought for a while and then she went berserk like her fighting style became like a mad beasts rather than that of an experienced warrior like before. But what made the fight extremely difficult is the fact that she became way stronger than she was before and that she had way more DP than she should have." I thought remembering the fight. If that boost she got was due to a trait then it must have boosted her DP, along with the power of her attacks and her skills. Thinking about this I couldn't help but shiver, what if the other Greater imps can use that trait or skill or whatever that was.

"I think that was the Bellicus family ability." Synthia said

"What's a family ability?" I asked

"It's a trait given to the entire family from the Demon king they serve. Unfortunately, we don't know much about family abilities but what I do know is that Bellicus' family ability is called [Fury]. From what I know it causes the user to be consumed by rage and that multiplies their overall powers by a lot. But the puzzling thing is that we don't know where this power boost comes from since DP alone wouldn't cause such a major power boost. But thankfully there is some good news in all of this, a family ability isn't always unlocked by a Demon since they have conditions not everyone can fulfill so there won't be many who can use it." She said and I sighed in relief but I knew it was probably not that simple. As she said the angels didn't know much about family abilities and there data is from thousands of years ago so it was probably out dated by now. So there is still a chance that they have figured out some way for all of them to unlock the ability.
