Chapter 19 K&K's(4)

The undeads brain or atleast what's left of it leaked out of the back of it's head as it's corpse slumped onto the floor. Pulling my sword out of it's neck, I went in search of the next undead. Soon I reached a huge circular corridor with multiple stores on each side. In this space were multiple thralls and undeads in the space. I immediately turned back around the corner I just came from. I knew wasn't strong enough to take on that many undeads atleast not yet. I counted three undeads and twenty-five thralls and I weighed my options. I could head back to the bus and grab some more guns or I could try and take them on myself with what I already have, those are the only options I could think of.

I racked my brain and decided on the second option, the reason being.....it was too tedious to go back to the bus and besides I got a little excited at the thought of fighting a life and death battle. I racked my brain trying to come up with a plan and the only thing I could think of is to attract them out of the room and kill them one at a time but how would I do that. I looked around but couldn't think of anything and so I abondoned that plan and tried something else. I closed my mind and sensed the demonic energy flowing through my body and tried to make it flow how I wished. I noticed that the energy seemed to respond to strong desires and if I didn't know exactly what I wanted to do it wouldn't work. So I thought of what could help me in a situation like this and I soon found it. I held my sword in my hand and closed my eyes, soon a red energy flowed out of my hand and covered the blade.

What I thought about is a way to kill the undeads faster and then I realized that one of the reasons I was taking so long was because of the quality of my weapons. Mundane weapons just didn't cut through flesh and bones easy enough and so I desired for my demonic energy to enhance my sword and boom. Now with this new trait I can kill all these bastards. Surrounded with an air of confidence I went into the undead nest drawing all of their attention to me but I remained undeterred and pointed my glowing sword at the undeads.

"Come at me you fuckers." I said with confidence and the undeads took up my challenge and ran at me. The thralls were first to reach me and I didn't waste any time and began the slaughter.

...

I marveled at how easily my blade cut through the thralls, it passed through them like they were made of butter.

I was so engrossed in my slaughter that I didn't notice an undead coming towards me and it cost me. There was a long claw mark in my back and I was sent flying into the horde of thralls. Getting up a few thralls tried to attack me but I easily cut them down. I looked infront of me and I saw all three undeads walking towards me and I knew this was going to be a tough battle but fortunately I still have one trump card left.

'Demon's Pride.' Suddenly I could feel my blood pumping faster and my [Aura Vision] skill activated on it's own with my vision being focused on this space. With the boost in physical might and an extra sharp blade in my hand, I charged at the undeads with blinding speed. I reached the first one in seconds and it swung it's claws at me and I met it with my sword. It's hand was cut straight down the middle by my vertical slash causing it to be split in half. I tried to kill it by jumping in the air and slash it's head off but unfortunately this wasn't a 1v1. The other two came at me from the side and swung their claws at me forcing me to block.

The wounds healed quickly but I knew that [Demon's Pride] wouldn't last long and I'll have to finish this fight quickly. I got to my feet charged at the undeads and they did the same. They swung their claws out at the same and I chopped their claws off with a horizontal slash. I used the momentum I've built up to slide between them, now behind them I slashed one of the undeads legs off and thrusted my sword into it's head before it could even react.

Now there were only two more undeads left. They turned around before I could do anything and swung their legs at me but I quickly dodged. I ran at them full speed and swung my sword at one of their necks but it threw a punch and got it's hand cut off but successfully protected it's head. The other one came at me from the side but I kicked it in the chest sending it flying to the other side of the room. Now alone with the one armed undead, I slashed both it's legs at the knees causing it to fall to the ground.

Now there was only one. I walked over towards where the last undead was, it was also walking towards me with black mist surrounding it's chest cavity. I suddenly held the katana blade like a spear, took a deep breath and threw it as hard as I could. The sword pierced through the undeads arms that it used to block and it's neck causing it's head to fall onto the floor.
