Chapter 176 Schemes

The next day, Synthia got a few of each type of seeds to give to Colin and placed all of them in a storage ring along with Dracos Black's diary. But just before she left, one of Mr. Zieks saints stopped her.

"My lady, may I ask where you are off to at such an early hour?" The man asked nervously

"I'm off to deliver a gift to a friend. What's it to you?" She asked suspiciously and cold sweat started to drip down his face.

"My lady, I am only worried for your safety. There could be more of those monsters lurking around." The man said

"I'll be fine, don't worry." She said and started walking away, but the man stopped her again

"My lady, may I accompany you? To guarantee your safety, it is my duty." The man said with a bow

"There is no need for both of us to go." Synthia said

"Then allow me to deliver it in your stead." The man said

"Hmmm, fine whatever." Synthia shrugged and handed a ring, with a white band and a purple crystal on top, to the man.

"This is a storage ring, all you have to do is pour your holy energy into the ring and it's contents will come out. Make sure to bring the ring back." Synthia said

"Thank you, my lady." The man said and accepted the ring

"Sure, take one of the vehicles in the garage, go to City A and give the contents in that ring to the Demon, Colin." Synthia said and walked away.

'How suspicious, but I doubt a single saint can cause too much trouble, and if he does cause any trouble, I'll punish him.' Synthia thought as she walked back into the mansion.

'Good.' Kyle thought as he watched all of this happen from the side.

"Okay, today I'm gonna teach you a technique called partial transformation." Lily said, all three of them were inside the hospital since they didn't need to go outside to learn this and the two of them wanted to include Alice in their training.

"Partial transformation allows you to combine certain aspects of your demon form with your human one, without having to completely transform. Observe." Lily said and her entire body was covered in black mist and soon, her human form was revealed. She kept her long silver hair and pink eyes, but now she had fair unblemished skin and didn't have her horns, wings or tail but her ears still looked pointed.

"You're so cute." Alice complemented with a faint blush

"I know, but we can talk about that later." Lily said with a smile and suddenly, wings unfurled from her back.

"This is partial Transformation, all you have to do is focus on a feature that you want and it should appear." Lily said

'It's similar to what werewolves do, but there's seem to be more instinctive.' Colin thought as he tried to do what Lily said, but it wasn't working.

"Don't you have any better advice than that?" Alice asked with a frown

"Hmm, well you can try thinking about activating your transformation skill, but try imagining only getting your wings to come out.....or something like that? I don't remember how I was thought to do this, it has always felt more instinctive than conscious for me." Lily said while scratching her cheeks, embarrassed

The two of them continued to try and partially transform, following Lily's vague instructions, but no matter what they did, they either fully transformed or nothing happened at all. Just as Colin was about to give up and go back to what he was doing the previous day, they heard the sound of an engine getting closer and closer.

"What's that is it one of those buses? But what are they doing here?" Lily asked curiously

"No, that sounds more like a motorbike than a bus." Alice said and Lily looked at her confused

"What's a motorbike?" Lily asked

"I'll show you." Colin said and flew out the window, followed closely behind by Lily. Alice was forced to stay inside because of the sun and pouted annoyedly, before straining her eyes and ears to try and figure out what's going on. Colin and Lily flew into the forest towards the sound and soon the two of them laid their eyes on a white motor bike and on it was a nervous looking man, who, based on his aura, they could tell was a saint.

"So that's a motorbike huh." Lily mumbled as she looked at the motorbike curiously, and the man taught she was looking at him and fought the urge to run away.

"I-I-I come b-bearing gifts from lady Synthia." the man said and pulled out a ring from his pocket, he placed it on his finger and poured his holy energy into it and out came a large box, the box was almost as tall as Colin. The box was white in colour and made out of metal, out of consideration, the box was not infused with holy energy.

"Huh, what's inside the box?" Colin asked

"My lady, did not say. May I please go now?" The man asked nervously

"Yes, you may-" But Colin wasn't even able to finish as the man left as soon as Colin said yes.

"Rude. Let's open it right now, I wanna know what's inside." Lily said excitedly, but Colin stopped her

"No, we should bring it back to the hospital and open it with Alice." Colin said and Lily pouted

"Fine." She said and Colin placed the box in his storage ring before flying away.

"Fuck, fuck, fuck, why did I agree to do this?" The man said as he drove the bike into the forest. As Kyle planned, the man would stay in the forest for a few days making everyone think Colin did something to him. He was chosen because of his affinity, [Illusion Affinity], which allowed him to use the [Illusory Shroud] ability, although not to the scale Lily could, allowing him to hide his aura from others. What the man didn't know however, was that Kyle didn't expect him to come back for one simple reason, he couldn't hold the [Illusory Shroud] for a day much less days and he would eventually run out of Holy energy, and unlike the Angels who had traits that could turn Demon miasma into holy energy, he needed to recharge within the [Holy Territory].

Author's note: If you are wondering how the saint was able to use Synthia's storage ring, it's because just like any piece of technology, the storage ring can be modified. So she simply modified it so that he could remove things from it, but he can't look inside or place anything in it.
