Chapter 160 Master Foustus Strikes Again

Colin was able to reach the bus in a matter of minutes and he couldn't help but feel anxious as they were only a few hours away from City B now.

'Let's just hope I make it in time.' Colin thought

City B

Everyone was inside the mansion, resting from their battle the previous day, except for Alice who couldn't enter the mansion. Instead, she was resting in a metal house that was made by Mr. Ziek under Synthia's insistence.

''This is demeaning.'' Alice said as she stared at the silver ceiling from her bed. She wanted to head back to City A where she could rest comfortably, but she stayed just incase the Corpse Lord attacked. Although, with the sun out, there isn't much she could do.

"The fuck!!" Alice shouted and jumped out of her bed as she sensed something powerful in the distance. She immediately activated her [Aura Vision] and paled as she could see a black aura moving towards the city at a very fast speed. The others inside the mansion sensed it as well, and immediately rushed outside with their weapons in hand. They could see a cloud of black miasma like energy heading towards them like a storm, causing everything in it's path to wither and die. The sky became black as the cloud of black miasma got closer, and at it's center, they could see a humanoid figure with blue souls surrounding him and a bone armour covering his body along with a bone staff. The miasma soon entered the city, and everything outside the [Holy Territory] started to decay and turn to dust, including the metal house Alice was inside of, although it didn't decay a lot slower than everything else.

[Colin, where are you?!] Alice asked distressed

[I'm only two hours away from City B, why what's wrong?] Colin replied

[That Corpse Lord came back to City B, and he looks way scarier than before.] Alice said panickly

[He's back....wait a minute...didn't tell you to stay away from City B.] Colin shouted through [Telepathy]

[That's not important right now, what matters is that this City is gonna be destroyed if you don't get here soon.] Alice said, on the verge of tears.

[I'll see what I can do, try and get out of the city as quickly as possible.] Colin said

'He's right I need to get out of the city as fast as I can, but how do I do that?' Alice wondered in a panic, but just then, the door was pushed open by an invisible force and Alice quickly used her shadow to shut it back, not allowing the miasma to get inside.

'What the hell was that?' She wondered, and then looking around, she could smell something like a rotting flesh and hear loud, heavy breathing.

"Who's there, show yourself?" Alice said and the shadows in the room started to come alive as if preparing to attack.

"Wait, my name is Mina of the house of Greed and I'm from the Bartus Guild. You're from the house of Weakness right?" The short woman said as her stealth ability dissipated, she was short with green hair and red eyes, and her pale skin was covered in signs of severe decay, with parts of her face showing bone.

"How do you know that?" Alice asked with narrowed eyes, but just as she was about to attack, something held her back.

"Listen, your leader signed a contract with my boss, which means neither of us can hurt each other so let's not try. We have bigger problems, that Corpse Lord has gotten way too powerful, and we will die if we stay here any longer." Mina said and Alice relunctantly released control of her shadows.

"How do we get out of here?" Alice asked

"Does this city have underground tunnels filled with disgusting waste like the other City?" Mina asked and Alice looked at her with confusion before she figured out what she was talking about.

"Do you mean sewers?" Alice asked

"Yes." Mina replied

"Yes, every City and town has one." Alice said

"Good, I need you to break the ground so that we can escape down there." Mina said and Alice nodded her head, she punched the ground beneath them and the ground instantly caved in allowing them to jump downwards into the sewers.

"This should keep us safe for a while, but we still need to get out of here." Mina said as the used her [Crystal Affinity] to seal the hole with a green translucent crystal.
