Chapter 10 Interrogating Mephistopheles(1)

Gardena started to sweat nervously as Lucifer tried to wake up Belphegor, he first tried shouting, but soon moved on to shaking his friend causing him to groan as he slowly became more conscious. Although she didn't agree with his method, she didn't dare to stop him as she was only a tier 5 and more importantly, she was a former human, and didn't dare to treat the others with disrespect, fearing what they would do to her if she did, but her assumption was unfounded as she wouldn't do anything to her. As Belphegor slowly woke up, the mansion's interior started to distort a bit and everyone inside the mansion could tell that their lord was waking up.

"Hmmm....Lu..cider, what are you doing? Why are you shaking me?" Belphegor asked as he finally woke up and the distortions finally stopped, but the automatons, paintings and sculptures in the house became less lively.

"Finally, you're awake." Lucifer said with a sigh.

"Why did you wake me up?" He asked as he got up off his cloud

"I want you to come with me to Earth. And don't say no, you are coming whether you like it or not." Lucifer said sternly, everyone knew that Belphegor would sleep for decades or even centuries if left alone, and it wasn't a good idea to leave him like that as they feared he would just choose to sleep for the rest of eternity if left alone. So it was good to wake him up and take him out of the mansion every once in a while and talk to other Angels, and that has only become even easier since he turned those humans and made them live in the castle with him.

"Fine." He responded begrudgingly and hopped off his cloud, he transformed back into his human form and turned into a short youngman with rainbow coloured hair and star like irises.

"Oh, can I bring a few of my followers with me." Belphegor asked

"Yeah sure." Luciel responded with a smile, as he was happy his friend was interacting more with others. A rainbow coloured tunnel suddenly appeared in front of them, and the six of them walked through it and appeared in a large room filled with stars and many strange things. Inside the rooms were over a dozen Angel(Lessers), most of them were testing out their powers while others were eating or reading. Lucifer didn't know any of them by name, other than one called Eva who he has had multiple pleasant conversations with.

"Hello everyone." Belphegor said and everyone quickly stopped what they were doing and greeted their lord.

"I know this is sudden, but I'll be accompanying my friend to Earth and I was wondering if any of you wanted to come along." Belphegor said and everyone looked at each other, before someone raised their hand.

"I'll come with you." Said a beautiful girl with silver hair and blue eyes.

"Oh Eva, you want to tag along. Ok, does anyone else want to come." Belphegor asked but no one else raised their hands.

"Ok, so I guess I'll just take Gardena and Eva then." Belphegor said and Gardena opened her mouth but didn't say anything, not seeing the point with arguing with her Lord.

"Hello Lord Lucifer." Eva said with a smile and Lucifer smiled while Sheila flashed him a knowing smirk. Lucifer opened a portal and all of them went through.

A portal opened above Mt. Shamiel and seven Angels emerged from it. All of them descended onto the mountain and entered a dark cave carved into it.

"This wasn't here before. And why is it so dark in here, I can't see anything without that fireball." Luciel commented as they walked down the tunnel of the cave. Lucifer created a ball of golden fire above their heads, allowing them to see.

"It's because of this." Lucifer said and showed them the rune carved into the wall.

"I've never seen a rune like that before." Azazel commented

"Well, that's not the only thing interesting about it." Lucifer said and created a second fireball in his hand and moved it towards the rune and it started absorbing the Holy energy and glowed a bright red.

"Wow, did that thing just absorb Holy energy, and what's this strange energy it's emitting?" Luciel asked excitedly

"You were right Lucifer, this is interesting." Sheila said

"And it's going to get even more interesting once we interrogate the one who made this rune." Lucifer said with a smile and they continued walking down the tunnel.
