The Mayan ceremonial dagger had an inscription in the ancient language that read: "Offer thy heart". After being released from the roaming island Sam fulfilled its end of the deal by healing Uriel using Water Warlock's blessing. It was a generous act that in his mind should have earned him the trust of his former companions back, but without Medusa to even hint at the idea, the Dungeon Raiders were less than inclined to do so.
"I can't believe they didn't take me back after what I did to save them! I even went out in the open!" Sam cried under the pitiful gaze of Hathaway who couldn't believe he was in front of the man responsible for the downfall of an entire megacity.
"You may have taken things too far, man. It's not like I don't get what you're feeling, but..."
"You are right! They probably just need some time." Sam shook his head sending his tears to fly away along with his poor mood and smiled for the first time in days.
"That's not what I said." Hathaway said.
