The Elf Inspector

Adrian watched as the elf proceeded through his dungeon, she quickly entered into the forest area as she began walking around testing the various plants that he had inside of the dungeon.

She would only test out their fighting capabilities not even killing the plants, she did kill a few of the violet bees however, as they chased her around the dungeon.

He assumed she didn't kill the plants because of her affinity for nature and she didn't want to harm them.

She ignored the treasure chest and once she was done inspecting the room she proceeded on to the hedge maze as she continued onwards.

She began to walk through the maze, trying to find the way out as she periodically killed some Herculean Beetle's that attacked her. She even cut off their horns before keeping them, most likely to sell later.

Adrian watched as she attempted to find the exit to the maze for a few hours before she unintentionally arrived back at the entrance upon which she started leaving the dungeon.

She was looking down at a little booklet as she wrote down notes while muttering "The dungeon is primarily plant themed. Suggested name "The Mean Green", very low level monsters, Moving Hedge Maze required further investigation. Overall threat around D or E rank. A Beginner's Dungeon."

Hearing this Adrian almost spit blood "WHAT DO YOU MEAN THE MEAN GREEN!" That was the dumbest name for a dungeon he had ever heard!

He quickly decided to spend a few DP in order to write the words 'The Verdant Depths' using tree roots at the entrance to the dungeon so that intruders would know the name of his dungeon.

Mara walked out of the dungeon and looked at Adrian who was standing in front of it.

He smiled as he said "Are you finished inspecting?"

"Yes, I will report to the Adventurer's association about The Mean Green and have them officially recognize it. Be prepared because more adventurers will be coming now, have your goblins not attack them or you may be put on a kill quest. Also, if you want to officially own this territory you need to go apply for it in the city."

"What do you mean The Mean Green? Also what do I need to do in order to apply for it?"

"I'm talking about the Dungeon. I named it The Mean Green, the first adventurer to enter it was given naming rights. And you just need to go to the city and pay a fee in order to get a land deed, so you will officially own this territory in the eyes of skull country. The dungeon though is free for everyone so you can't own that."

"I also recommend building some sort of inn for adventurers once you get your land deed. It will be an easy way to make money and incentivize more adventurers to come back to your territory. Almost all dungeons have some sort of town outside of them for this reason." Mara continued

"The Mean Green? Look there, the name of the dungeon is written on the entrance of the dungeon." Adrian pointed to the sign he had made using tree roots.

Mara looked at where he was pointing and read the words The Verdant Depths, and her face began to turn slightly red as she coughed. She was embarrassed that she had missed that, even though Adrian put it there after she had already entered.

"Very well...I will go report my findings to the adventurer's association. Don't do anything bad to the tree of life either. Or I'll kill you! Make sure to protect it because these trees are extremely rare and there are practically none left in the world anymore." She looked at the tree one last time before she left.

"Thank you for all the help! And for not killing me! See you soon!" Adrian waved seeing her off.

Seeing her leave Adrian let out a sigh of relief because the pressure she placed on him from just standing there was so great! He never knew when she might decide to change her mind and kill him! Women were scary! Or maybe it was just the fact that she was a strong adventurer. Thinking of Goblette and how scary she can become sometimes Adrian shook his head as he again determined. "Women are scary!"

Adrian decided that he was going to head towards the nearest city once he condensed his first magical rune. He was getting pretty close recently and could tell he was about to condense it in just a few more days.

Once he gained enough power to protect himself he would start his trip. He didn't want some nobody claiming his Dungeon as their own property after all!

Adrian sat down and continued to meditate, he wanted to quickly condense the rune so he could leave. He had limited time because he did not know how long it would be before more adventurers started coming and eventually one of them might decide to steal his things!

At this point the wolf riders had woken up, and after determining that Adrian and the Dungeon were safe they left him to meditate and went into the forest to continue to hunt. Gobble was even heard muttering something about how that crazy elf lady had no muscles and it was a wonder how she was so strong.

He even decided that he needed to increase his training because it was a humiliation to be defeated so easily by someone without muscles! All the goblins agreed that they were too weak, so they too trained with him. Well all of them besides Gobby and Goblette, because Goblette thought it was unladylike and Gobby was scared of being injured.
