The End?

Adam and Tokkie took their first footsteps into the cavern where the goblins made base. The cave itself was huge, at least a hundreas meters tall, with shoddy wooden huts and tents scattered along the sides, clearly those being the residence of said goblins.

The path behind them was painted red with the blood of goblins. For that very moment, everything was silent.

The silent before the storm.

"It reeks..." Adam said as he stared at the shoddy wooden huts.

"Suck it up. It's not like they could bath anyways." Tokkie said as she scouted further in front.

"From the looks of it, we cleared off the whole camp of 30 goblins..."Adam said as his head scanned the surroundings, as if feeling something was amissed.

" it's not over yet... " Tokkie said as her eyes squinted foward.

Infront of them, right in the middle of that settlement, stood a stone column at least 3 to 5 meters tall overshadowing both of them, as if a memorial to those once lived there. From behind it they saw it.

It's eyes glowed as it stared furiously at the two of them. Sinister air blew as it exhale putrified air from its lungs.

"That... That isnt a hobgoblin!" Tokkie cautioned Adam.

Hob goblin was a variant that goblins can evolve into which are known for their strength and size compared to goblins. However, as most of itself has been turned into a hulking mass of muscle, hob goblins lose the ability to speak in exchange for their superiors strength.

With that said, while they may be bigger than regular goblins, at most they are only slightly taller than a human at about 2 to 3 meters tall. This one however was 5 to 6 meters. It was a giant! It it highly likely this isn't a hob goblin but instead, a higher tier evolution goblin or worst yet, a different species all together.

Realising that the two tiny humans have stopped their advance as is now staring at it, it smiled widely as if its entertainment has finally arrived. It moved out of the shadow while dragging a giant schimitar shaped stone with cloth wrapped at the handle almost as big as itself.

Boom! Boom! Boom!

It's footsteps causes the cave to rumble. As it walked out the darkness, its features became visible to both Adam and Tokkie. It was pale blue in colour, 5 meters tall, slightly hunched but extreamly well built, wearing only a single shoulder guard and loin cloth.

"Goblin Brute..." Tokkie muttered as her voice fades away.

A goblin brute was the next tier of evolution after a hib goblin. It has further refined the strength portion of its uniqueness as a hobgoblin. In human job terms, if a warrior is a job that emphasize on the strength stats of the human, this goblin is a beserker that further emphasizes that stat.

"What's the diff..." Adam asked in panic. However, before he could even finish, a giant blade made of stones impossible to wield by any normal human swung over achingly towards where they stood.

BOOM!

Tokkie and Adam dodge in a nick of time to the side as the blade slammed into the earth. The shock was so strong that the whole floor up to 3 meters away from where the blade landed started to cracked and shatter.

ROARRRRRRR!

The goblin brute roars echoed through the chamber so loud that even both Tokkie and Adam had to retreat multiple steps behind.

"How do we take it down!" Adam asked Tokkie quickly as he glance foward while getting ready to dodge at a moments notice.

"We have to remove its ability to live by slashing it at his hamstrings or arm muscle!" Tokkie yelled from across the gash on the floor.

"You take the left while I take the right!" Adam shouted. Immediately after that, both him and tokkie darted in front moving to the bottom left and right of said goblin in the hopes that it dealing with one of them will give and opening to the other.

Seeing the two human running forward, the goblin brute held its sword and swung it as if it was Tiger Woods swinging his gold club at Adam. The air pressure from said strike was so great that even after Adam dodge it to the side, the gush of wind from it caused him to slam into one of the shoddy wodden structures to the side.

Swish! Swing!

As planned, this created an opening for tokkie to rush foward and slash twice the right leg of said goblin brute. The cuts however was too shallow to imobilize it.

"Shit!" clearly expecting her attack to severe muscle, Tokkie cursed as she prepares to create space between her and the goblin brute. However, before she could sprint foward, the blade that swung up previously is now crashing down in blinding speed to where she was. Knowing that running foward would still put her in line with the attack, she quickly dodge to her left while bracing herself for the shock wave to come.

BOOM!

The sword smashed into the earth and the whole cage shook once more. If you ever wondered what an earthquake casted by your level 99 golem would look like, this is exactly how it would look like.

Tokkie dodged to the left and then quickly move 2 steps back to in order to create space between her and the goblin brute. However, before she could move 2 steps back, the goblin brute has made a wide swing with its sword, laying waste to everything in a 150 degree angle infront of it in a 5 meter radius. Tokkie being still within that radius of effect quickly raised her sword to defend.

Clang!

The goblin brutes sword smashed into Tokkie sword avoiding any serious damage, however, the impact was so strong that Tokkie was immediately flung to the far right wall of the room

Realising that it had finally succeeded swatting that annoying human, the goblin stood proud and started to laugh. However, from the far end of the other room, the other human had just finish preparations to use his skill and in a blink of a eye.

Stab!

Adam blinked multiple phases forward to finally reach and stab the goblin brute right at his calf. The skill he used was non other than the same skill Tokkie used previously, Blinked Strike, only difference was his was much faster and the strikes seem to generate far greater force that the one executed by Tokkie.

ROAR!!!!!

The goblin brute scream as it felt a sharp pain gnashing at its right calf. Blood flow profusely as it cam crashing down into a super hero landing pose.

"You might be strong but it won't matter if you can't hit me!" Adam said cockly as he prepare to execute the skill once more.

'Blink Strike!' Adam yelled in his head as his body automatically started phasing forward once more aiming this time at the left leg of the goblin brute. This time however, as he drew close, the goblin brute's hand swung and grab him bright as he was in its range.

As he struggled futilely in the tight grasp of said goblin brute's hand, it lifted its hand far into the sky and swung it down as fast as it could.

BAM!

Adam could feel his ribs breaking from his crash to the floor. Blood started spurting out of his mouth as he started coughing. Before he could even stand, the fist of the goblin was already rocketing to where he lay.

"100 Steps of Void, Defensive Stance, Abysall Defence!" Tokkie yelled as her body blured into existence infront of him while holding her sword up in anticipation of the strike. Dark tendrils seep put of her and enveloping her at the place where she stood.

Abysall defence was one of the moves in the 100 Steps of Void which uses the principle of the void to phase damage from the opponent to the surrounding rather that oneself, this reducing the damage you would recieve significantly.

The punch crashed into tokkie, even with the augmentation from the skill, both she and Adam was still flung to the far sides of the room. The impact was just too strong. Tokkie maybe strong and Adam may be skilled thanks to the cheat skill known as Usurper, but fighting the goblin brute was like going against a level 50 monster with u plebeian level 5 ass.

Seeing that it had defeated the two humans, the goblin smirked as it walked towards where Tokkie lie. Its eyes filled with anticipation for what it's going to do to its prize.
