Aron Winter

F Class Adventurer, Aron Winter. Fat, ugly, weak. He was the definition of all of these. He was the butt of all jokes.

"F Class? Just a bit stronger than an ordinary human? Him fighting monsters. What a joke!"

"What skill does he have again? Transfer? Isn't that a F Class skill for thieves?"

"Even if he had a better skill and got famous, will he fit on a billboard?"

"Adventurers are noble professions. They save the Earth from being overrun by monsters. However, he is a monster that burdens the Earth himself!"

Hearing mocking comments everyday, wasn't easy on Aron too. Daily, Aron ran ten laps in hopes of losing weight and getting skinnier, but it came to no avail. His weight didn't decrease by even a pound. His mother said it was genetic from his dad's side. He also tried to improve his ability by practicing its many uses, but he didn't succeed. And being ugly... That wasn't something he could change. Every second of his live he wanted to quit being an adventurer, however, he had no choice. His father was dead, and he had to take care of a sick mother and a sister in high school.

Everyday, Aron wished that the Cataclysm had never started, however, no one, not even god, could reverse time.

The Cataclysm, an age of despair for humanity, was a time when monster emerged from gates and attacked humans. Among these humans was Aron's father, a soldier. Guns were fired. Missiles were sent. Nuke were activated. However, they were ineffective against these monsters. They just angered the monsters more. Cities were destroyed. Billions of people died. The world was in disarray. Humanity was on the brink of destruction when they discovered a small ray of hope known as Awakeners.

Awakeners were a small population of humans who had awakened unique abilities that made them stronger than ordinary humans. United, the Awakeners managed to defeat all the monsters on Earth. However, they still could not get rid of the gates.

Gates opened up in random places, such as schools, malls, and bathrooms, and when they were left alone for a long time, monsters emerged from the gate. In order to stop monsters from overrunning the world once again, humanity decided to enter the gates and fight the evil creatures before they stepped foot on Earth.

Now, in 2156, 150 years after the Cataclysm, humans are still fighting monsters. Adventurers are entering gates into the territory of monsters, known as dungeons, to kill monsters and get materials. After entering dungeons, humanity discovered that monsters killed inside dungeons dropped items, such as artifacts and precious materials. Many hunters, like Aron Winter, were scavengers. They weren't strong and went into dungeons in hope of finding rare and precious items to sell for lots of money.
