The rumors about the mysterious group dressed in white robes conducting strange rituals on school grounds had long circulated among students, but few knew of the group's true purpose. I knew, though. They were the self-proclaimed "Guardians of the Silver Saint," protectors of the school's beloved Isaia Virto. And I, Akaya Makoto, had somehow managed to find myself at the top of their enemies list.

The reason was simple: my hobby of crafting intricate figures had recently produced one of Isaia herself—a harmless gesture in my eyes, but blasphemy in theirs. To them, my figure of Isaia wasn't a collectible; it was a holy icon. I'd created and given it to Isaia as a gift, a gesture of admiration, but I'd known that if these zealots ever discovered it, they'd see it as sacrilege.
