Passing Out Again

When I woke up, I saw the ground.

It felt like my head was hanging low.

It was still dark all around me. I realized I was still in the dead of night.

The sensation on my body—warmth, a pleasant fragrance. It felt familiar somehow, as if this had happened before.

Am I being carried by someone?

When I shifted my gaze slightly, I saw a beautiful face right next to mine.

A familiar side profile—Shiwahime's face.

She was extremely close. Just a few centimeters away.

That explained the nice scent. I was being piggybacked by Shiwahime.

Come to think of it, wasn't I about to get killed by Chain and that white-haired teleport guy?

Right, Shiwahime had come to save me. And... so had Mr. Habu.

"Shiwahime-san, take Akatani-kun to the infirmary, okay? I've got reports and a lot of other stuff to take care of. So much work, you know?" Mr. Habu said, before heading into the building.
