A Glimpse of Tenderness
Seraphina's eyelids fluttered as she listened to the rhythmic sounds of water filling the bathtub. Her mind drifted back to the recent conversation with Raven. His concern had been a balm to her weary soul, but she couldn't shake off the dread that his affection might turn into pity.
With a sigh, she sank deeper into the warm water, letting it envelop her body and soothe her aches. Her muscles, initially protesting the heat, slowly began to relax. The tension that had built up from days of worry and physical strain started to ebb away.
Pillen and Lili worked efficiently in the background, laying out soft towels and preparing a light, comfortable dress for Seraphina to wear after her bath. Seraphina closed her eyes, trying to center herself and gather the strength she needed to face the day.
After a few moments, she heard a gentle knock on the door.
"My Lady, the bath is ready," Pillen announced softly.
