147: A perfect life

"What are you saying? Why you are giving me a heart attack like this?" Dae Ju asked giving her a fake smile.

"I mean it. Please go away from here and don't come again. Also, thanks for paying the hospital bills. I can't repay you so I am also sorry." she said coldly.

"Aish! You are joking, right? Don't make such a joke. It hurts my feelings." Dae Ju went closer to her but she moved her eyes somewhere else.

"I am not joking. I will leave the hospital as soon as possible. And I will go back to my dad's country." she replied coldly.

"Why you are doing this? What happened? Are you angry because I couldn't come soon? Ei! Come on! I was busy! I tried to come to you as soon as possible!" He wanted to clear himself.

"I am not saying because I am angry! Why I would be angry on you? We are not that married couple anymore! Things have been changed! Our worlds are different! And I know I can't accept the circumstances around you. Neither could you! Let the past go. Let's imagine that never happened. Those seven months were like dream for me. Let's imagine those were a dream. It will be best for the two of us." she said. Seems like she was thinking about it for a long.

"No, No! NOO! What happened to you suddenly? We can stay together! We can do anything if we stay together! You want to get married! Then, I will marry you. I will arrange everything as soon as possible! I-I-I....." he couldn't say anymore as he was faltering too much.

"I am not saying that! Please, try to understand what I am saying! We don't belong to each other. I can't marry you. Our religion is different. Our culture is different. Our lifestyle is different. Our everything is different. We can't be happy together! I don't know if you really love me or not but it's craziness. Please don't be crazy. I didn't know who was the person I loved. But I know about him now and when I think about it, I decided it can't be real. How you went inside his body, how you change everything, but I can't love you. That's why I want to escape. I can't stay here. I can't stay with you." she make him understand but he doesn't want to understand.

"You can't decide this alone! How can you take a decision alone? I will not let you go. Just listen to me, I loved you and I love you and I will always love you. Nothing or nobody can change that. I will do anything for you. If you tell me to leave my job and go with you, I will do that. If you tell me to go to hell, I will go. So, don't you dare to think something like that ever, understand? This is not just your life, it's related with my life too!" Dae Ju was serious when he was talking.

"Don't think with your emotions. Think with your brain. If you kept running this life, your world would collapse. Everything will turn into ashes. Your dream, your career everything will be ruined. I never think of myself. I was thinking about you. Do you think your family, your fans your teammates, all the people around you, related to you, would accept me? Did you ever think about it? They will not! They won't try to understand you! And as for me, I am already in a blacklist in people's minds. And with me, you will be a blacklisted person too. Can you bear that pain? You can't! I know the feeling! I know how they stare at you and pointing at you they make a face at you and curse you. It's more dangerous than dying. You will wish to die but you can't die either!" her eyes were hurtful. As if she was looking at her back. She was remembering how people used to curse on her. Wishing her to be dead. How they were talking so bad things using so bad language that can't bearable. Some drops of tears fall from her eyes. They were falling from her cheeks. They were looking like pearls. Dae Ju noticed it and put his palm under her face. The drops of tears fall on his palm.

"What are you doing? Go away from me!" Lina shouted but her voice was broken.

"They are tears for you. But they are pearls for me. I am gonna keep them to me. They are so precious. So, I am gonna take care of them from now on so that they can't fall from those beautiful places." saying this he put his palm on his cheek and mixed the water on his cheek.

"You are such a maniac!" Lina leaned on her bed.

"Yes, I am! For you!" Dae Ju smiled.

"Stop being cheesy! Go away and think about it! I don't want you to get hurt because of me. So, please leave. I am fine and I will be. You will be also fine!" Lina said and closed her eyes.

"Can I kiss you?" Dae Ju asked and closed his eyes immediately.

"No!" strict answer from Lina.

"Just once?" he was begging.

"Nope!" Another straight answer from her.

"As a good...." he couldn't finish his words.

"Go now! Please! I beg you! If someone comes and see you, you will be in trouble!" Lina shouted. Dae Ju makes a pouting face and acts like he was an angry kid.

"HOw cAn yOu rEjeCt sUch A hAndsOmE mAn likE mE?" he acted very cutely. Lina looked at him and laughed.

"So cute!" she laughed and said.

"But go away!" she makes a strict face again and said.

"Okay! I am leaving! Ah! The most handsome man has been rejected right now! Ah! Such a shame!" he put on his mask while saying this and went outside. Lina smiled by seeing his activity but her smile disappeared within a minute.

[After some days]

Dae Ju was removing his makeup after doing a concert. That time, Nam Gil came to his room.

"Hyung! Mr. PD is calling you," he said.

"Why?" Dae Ju asked while wiping his face with a wet tissue. Nam Gil didn't remove his makeup yet so he takes one of the wet tissue from him.

"I don't know but his face was serious," said Nam Gil and start wiping his face.

"Okay, I should go and meet him first. Where is he?" Dae Ju asked and run his hand in 2x speed.

"He is waiting for you in our practice room." Nam Gil replied.

"Practice room?" Dae Ju was surprised because he doesn't come here nowadays.

"Yes, should I go with you?" he asked.

"No! You should stay here. No! I mean, you don't have to come with me." Dae Ju replied with confidence and walked outside. Within a few minutes, he went there. There was nobody else except for him and two of the other staff.

"Hello!" Dae Ju bowed to him.

"Hello! Come and sit here." he prepared a seat for him beside himself. Dae Ju went slowly and sit beside him.

"The thing is.... Your contracted time will be finish in six months. Do you want to renew it? If you renew it then you tell me, I will do everything I could." he asked.

"What do you mean?" Dae Ju got confused and asked.

"Do you remember about that letter I gave you a few months ago?" he asked. Oh! That letter from the government?" Dae Ju remembered it and asked.

"Yes." the PD replied.

"Uh.....I got a new one like that." he came to the point.

"Ah!" Dae Ju got what he wanted to say.

"Don't worry. Reply them that I am ready. I can go anytime." Dae Ju said gently. He was smiling though he knows he was not happy.

"Are you okay? Are you really saying this? If you go now, you can't return to the team again. Do you know that? I can help you if you want." he put his hand on Dae Ju's back and console him.

"No, it's okay. We need to give some space to the newcomers. If I don't go, how can they take my place! I bet nobody would be perfect like me. Hahaha!" he started to laugh though it wasn't a good joke. So nobody except for him laughed.

"I didn't get your joke but I think you will not regret it later, right?" the PD asked.

"No! I am getting old anyway! Man in my age gets married and have children! Don't you think I want a family too! It's not gonna big problem!" Dae Ju said and acted very normal.

"Okay, if you want that then it's fine! But I am warning you for the last time. Can you be really fine without your teammates? Are you prepared mentally? Do you think they can live without you?" The PD asked with a serious face.

"They will be fine! They will miss me but if you give them time, everything will be fine. Didn't they live without me for those seven months? I will also miss them but I think time can heal everything." Dae Ju replied wisely.

"Then, you can go now. I will tell everything about your decision tomorrow." saying this he stood up. He was not so satisfied with his decision. He wanted to keep him in the company for more two years. But seems like he have to let him go now.

[That night outside of Lina's house]

She is living in another area where nobody can recognize her. She gave her company to Jheong Woo and find a new way to live. She works in a bakery shop now and earns money for a living. Every day, she came home in the evening. As she is living alone, she didn't have too many things inside the house though the house was big. It's her own house and Dae Ju gives her this place to live. Though she didn't want to take this, Dae Ju make her stay there.

She went to the rooftop to take the clothes she kept them for sundry. She was taking them from the hangers and suddenly she heard a noise of a horn from outside. She went to the edge to see what was going on. A man was standing beside a car with a bouquet. He was wearing a big face mask and a glass. He was looking at her. Seeing him, Lina understood who he was. She smiled and went down. She came outside and stood in front of him.

"Happy birthday to you! Happy birthday, happy birthday, happy birthday to youuuuuuuuu!" saying this he gave her the bouquet. She received the bouquet and dragged him inside the house.

"Thank you! Nobody saw you coming here, right?" she whispered.

"No!" he out off his mask.

"I made some seaweed soup. Do you want to try?" she asked smilingly.

"Oh! Sure!" Dae Ju replied.

"Wait here! I will go and get them," she said happily and went inside.

"Lina-ah!" he shouted.

"What?" she asked from inside.

"I went to meet Choi San today! But, he didn't recognize me! I tried to tell him but he didn't believe me!" Dae Ju said loudly.

"Ah! How is he? I hope he is happy with his life, right?" she brings a pan and puts that on the table she asked.

"Yes, he is happy. Very happy! He is doing very well. He is learning too fast!" Dae Ju smiled.

"I am happy for him." saying this she pour some soup into a bowl and gave it to Dae Ju.

"Aren't you happy for me?" he pouts and looked at her.

"Aish! Of course!" Lina said and laughed slowly.

"But I am upset!" Dae Ju said and make a disappointed face.

"Why?" Lina sat down beside him and asked. Dae Ju put some soup in his mouth and find it tasty. But he didn't compliment about it.

"You said, I can't kiss you until we get married! Is this right? I mean, I want toooo! Can't I just kiss you for today? I will never ask you again! Pleeeeease!" he was acting like a kid.

"No!" she replied and stood up.

"Okay, just wait two years more. I will return from the military and marry you as soon as I can come back from there! Hmph! After that, you can't forbid me." he makes a face at her.

"Okay, okay, do whatever you want after that!" she also makes a face and starts going inside.

"Hey! Come here!" he said.

"What again?" she asked and came back.

"This is for you." he gave a small envelope to her and said.

"What is this?" she asked curiously.

"Your birthday present," he said confidently. Lina opened the envelope and saw a ticket for the concert which was gonna held the next day.

"Thank youuuuu!" she became so happy that she started to jumping and Dae Ju kept looking at her smilingly.
