Boom!
Luck suddenly jerked awake.
He grudgingly rubbed his eyes and sat up staring at the sky, natures own clock.
It was just getting to evening so the bridge was at one of its busiest periods, multiple carriages sped past, eager to get to their destinations. Some were completing late deliveries, some were drops - basically taxis, while others were personal carriages.
Their constant motion made sleeping under the bridge umberable. This was actually the fifth nap Luck was having today and this was the fifth time he was rudely woken up.
He gathered his things into his backpack and walked over to a bench at the bottom of the bridge.
The bridge itself was designed to carry carriages above a little river that flowed underneath it. The river was actually quite beautiful so benches were placed next to it for people who wanted to just sit down and enjoy the calm.
Luck was one of those people.
