Inside the academy's clinic, Seung lay unconscious on a stretcher, his face pale, lips dry. Blood had dried on his shirt where the blade had struck, but the wound wasn't the worst of it. Seoyeon stood beside him, her hands trembling slightly as she pressed her palms near his abdomen. Golden lights flared from her hands, dancing over his injury, soft and warm. Yet her brows furrowed as something caught her attention.
'This is strange,' Seoyeon thought, her mind racing. 'He's healing, but it's slow. A Knight Hunter that can heal his wounds? It doesn't add up.' Her eyes narrowed as she focused more intently. 'This is different. It shouldn't be possible. What kind of ability is this?'
As the light continued to pulse, Seung's breathing steadied, but his body remained still. Meanwhile, his consciousness drifted far from the clinic.
