"Yes, I'm a vampire," Sunny said quietly, his gaze avoiding direct contact with the others. "I ran away from my nation because of my father's unruly acts. The priestess of the Dominion Clan saved me, and under her guidance, I learned to control my thirst and master different spells. Our native name is Nosferatu."
There was a long, heavy silence, the word "Nosferatu" hanging in the air like a dark omen. Yet, despite the gravity of his origins, Sunny's demeanor remained gentle, as though the darkness within him was something he'd long since made peace with.
"But you don't need to worry about me," he added, a soft smile touching his lips, a gesture that starkly contrasted with the grim expressions on the others' faces. "I would never hurt another being."
Seung forced a smile in return, but his mind was elsewhere. The memory of the recent attack resurfaced, stirring up a storm of thoughts and suspicions.
