A Disheartening Situation
The American twin jabbed a finger at Seung, his voice filled with venom. "Our parents died because of the war your father started! Why wasn't it your whole family instead of them?!"
Seung's eyes dropped to the ground, unable to meet the twin's rage-filled gaze. His silence only seemed to fuel the anger more. The second twin snapped, launching himself at Seung with a punch to the face. The hit landed hard, but Seung didn't even flinch.
Seung's mind drifted back to the day his father had tried to taught him simple calculations and others. He'd been so eager then, so desperate to make his father proud. But even in those moments, there had been something distant about him, as if the weight of the world already rested on his shoulders. 'One day, you'll understand,' his father had said, handing him the hilt of the sword. 'When you have something worth protecting, you'll do whatever it takes.' But Seung hadn't understood then. Not until it was too late.
