Synopsis

“It always amazes me how this world can rip your heart apart with its cruelty and then glue the pieces back together with its heavenly beauty.” How would you feel stuck in a world that deceives you and punishes you for something you never did?A world of perfectionism that’s sucked into the delusion of what a persons eye colour makes them. Jem’s life isn’t easy in this foreign world she’s sucked into, the betrayal and deceit she faces is nothing less then torture from her journeys though it.

Chapter 1Mesopelagic

Nosy?I should my own business?I should pay attention?"Jem reviewed the constant criticism people gave her on her personality, as she stared out into the sea that was the deepest blue she had ever witnessed , she closed her eyes and listened to the waves crashing against each other creating a sound that was pure music to her ears, a wide grin stretched across her face as she picked up a small pebble and threw it into the crashing waves .She saw the waves carry it away smoothly until it was out of her sight "it could've gone anywhere , who knows?"Her curiosity got the best of her as she quickly got up, dusted the dust off her knees and sprinted to investigate where the the sea leads to.She ran as fast as her legs could carry her , running out of breath but still determined, she dashed even faster following the sea until she stubbornly tripped and fell in a garden of sunflowers.she let out a sigh closing her eyes and catching her breath." I wonder where the sea carries fallen objects , I wonder how mere objects flow to the rhythm and get carried away . Oh If only life was as simple as a pebble flowing through waves."She pondered.Unexpectedly, the once clear sky started to crowd with clouds filled with anger and distrust.Much to anyone's expectation, she would probably sprint all the way back home, but not Jem, this was her favourite time of the year , thunderstorms.Even better, being outside alone in one.She stood up, spread her arms out and let the harsh breeze embrace her as the thunder tickled her eardrums and the rain danced through her golden brown hair. She silently chuckled in amusement as she had never felt this euphoric before. She felt like she was flying and felt as if she could conquer the world. For once in her life she felt free. She felt like she had gotten a small taste of the life she always wanted

"JEM!JEM!"She heard the croaky, bitter voice behind her scream."oh no." She shook her head and looked up at the surprisingly clear sky."I've been looking all over for you!I knew you would be up to no good, you think it's so funny for you to escape and leave us all worried sick don't you?!An orphan doesn't deserve freedom, your place is the orphanage and that is where you shall stay until I say so! Understand?"Miss Amanda snarled and hissed louder than any snake which would always pierce Jems ears."I'm sorry , it won't happened again." She innocently apologized.Miss Amanda gripped her wrists and dragged her back to the orphanage where she threw her in her isolated room which was emptier then the emptiest dungeon and darker than the darkest of nights.

Jem opened her blinds letting in a pathetic amount of sunlight that would barely make anything visible. She leaned her head against the wall as a tear rolled down her face. She tucked the bangs that were covering her single crystal blue eye and tucked them behind her ear.She looked in her only broken hand mirror and once again sobbed about the two distinct eye colours , the other being a soul piercing red.She started having flashback of her parents that she used to have."Is she ok doctor? Why are her eyes like this?" Her mother questioned.

"Red.Ma'am I'm afraid she's too dangerous to keep. You must abandon her." " But why?"Her mother blurted in fear."Red is not appreciated in our society. It represents curiosity , wonder, mischief and you know we don't want that." She nodded her head in agreement and that was when Jems life collapsed in front of her .Her memories were starting to wither away as this was the only memory she had before getting abandoned, isolated and in a strange way, betrayed....

She gritted her teeth and kicked the wall as hard as she could while clenching her fists and dripping with sweat as she remembered the day her life ended.

Defy The Alpha(s)

Two centuries after the Great War, peace between humans and werewolves was finally achieved, or so everyone believes. Werewolves reign like gods, and humans remain blissfully unaware of their true place in the new world order. To maintain this fragile balance, each year, a handful of "lucky" humans are selected from various districts to attend Lunaris Academy, a prestigious institution that promises glory, status, and a chance to mingle with the elite. Those chosen are hailed as the lucky few, destined to marry powerful alphas and rise as luna. This year, Violet Purple is among the chosen, much to everyone's surprise. For an orphaned girl adopted by a disgraced prostitute, this is a golden ticket to a better life or so she's told. But Lunaris Academy isn’t the paradise it’s painted to be. Everything Violet and her fellow humans have been taught is a lie. Humans are far from equal; they're pawns in a much larger game. The academy is nothing but a gilded cage, and the students are lambs led to slaughter, playthings for the alphas to toy with in their ruthless games. To make matters worse, Violet catches the attention of the most dangerous players in this game, the Terror Four: the Alpha of the North, Alpha of the South, Alpha of the East, and Alpha of the West. Each one is more dangerous, more twisted, and more powerful than the last. But even among themselves, the alphas are divided, each with their own deadly ambitions. Yet, they all have their eyes on her. They expect Violet to play along, to fall in line like the others who worship at their feet, to break under their games. But Violet isn’t like the others. She refuses to bow. She’ll defy them all.
