Chrono Revixio [2]

After activating the spell, Gu Mickey sensed a formless force draining something from him. Though he couldn't quite put his finger on what it was, the sensation lingered.

Mickey's body radiated a soft, silvery glow, and his eyes felt weighted, as if pulled down by an unseen force. Despite his efforts to resist, the hypnotic sensation proved too powerful... drawing him in with an irresistible pull.

He soon found himself in a dream. In this dream, he was like a ghost floating above a certain biracial, short, dark-haired boy.

"That's me, when I was on Earth..."

Mickey felt stunned and found something interesting about this spell.

"Normally, at this time I would be awake, but I kept my eyes closed, fantasizing about all sorts of lifestyles."

Mickey's former bedroom was dark, and the stars shone through the broken windows that had duct tape blocking the wind in some parts.

Mickey was on a single bed, covered by the warmth of a wool blanket, and his pillow was his red shirt, which had clothes stuffed in it to make it more comfortable.

Besides the bed and the table to charge his electric devices, the other thing in his room was his brother's clothes mixed with his, making a heap where his feet were facing.

Mickey looked at his former self and felt a sense of helplessness. His eyes were showing a mix of various emotions.

The guy in the wool blanket wasn't really a loner; he had a friend that he barely saw, but they would chat and call each other almost all the time.

Putting it into words, it was sort of bromance...

Mickey stayed vigilant, although he felt part of his heart tear apart. His friend was going to continue living and hopefully find a wife, although he seemed to be someone who wasn't interested in romance.

He was like a ghost and couldn't shed a tear, and this made him show a slight smile.

Now, he didn't feel like his past life was the worst. He did everything a man can do on Earth, and this made him have no regrets about his last life.

It was the path that led him to what he is today.

Mickey descended from the air he was hovering in and sat next to his old self. Although it was a single bed, there was enough space for the two of them - he used to sleep on this bed with his brother.

Mickey looked at himself with pity in his eyes,

"My daily routine was a well-rehearsed ritual. It began at 3 a.m., when I'd wake up and spend an hour lost in thought. Next, I'd watch anime for an hour, followed by some reading – novels were my favorite escape. After a refreshing face wash and brushing my teeth, which took about 15 minutes, I'd take my brother to elementary school. The round trip would take about an hour and a half.

Once I returned home, I'd grab a snack, watch some more anime, or get lost in a novel. A bath would follow, and by 11:30 a.m., I'd head out to pick up my brother from school. We'd be back home by 1 p.m. I'd squeeze in a 30-minute power nap, and then spend the remaining 30 minutes reading.

At 2 p.m., I'd head out to my math and science supplementary school. The bus ride would take about an hour, and I'd arrive around 3 p.m. To kill time before my lessons started at 5 p.m., I'd watch anime or read some more novels. By 7 p.m., I'd usually be back home, where I'd eat dinner and spend the evening reading manhua until 10 p.m. Then, it was off to bed, ready to do it all again the next day."

He narrated his daily life in less than 300 words, and the most repeated actions were watching anime and reading novels.

His life was useless, but he felt proud of it.

"Sigh...I hope this isn't one of those mornings I decided to watch live porn videos about girls masturbating on webcam."

Mickey felt embarrassed, but that was how it was. If he didn't watch such things, he wouldn't have knowledge about sex and would have embarrassed himself just like a certain someone.

Mickey continued to stare at himself, and as the seconds passed by, the emotions in his eyes vanished, and his expression became indifferent.

He no longer felt any emotion towards his past life and just saw the whole thing like a movie. The thought of what he would have ended up as if he wasn't reborn lost its ember in his heart like a light from a candle.

The only thing that stays in the heart of a god is nothing. In his eyes, he sees nothing except his grand plan.

Fortune and love are but fleeting whispers, akin to the transience of life and death. In the grand tapestry of existence, they are but insignificant threads. An ant is born, only to perish the next day; the universe remains unmoved, the heart of a god untroubled. All is ephemeral, lost in the vast expanse of time.

The hour of four arrived, and the other Mickey reached out to his phone while he kept himself hidden in the shed of the blanket.

'Mmm...what was the last episode I watched yesterday? Eh, let me watch Immortal Wizard, I hope the flashbacks are not continuing. It has been dragging on for too long.'

These were his former thoughts, but they were also transmitted to Mickey's mind, or maybe they were resurfacing.

"It was only two episodes." Mickey's heart jumped as he recalled some of the events of this day, but soon let it go. 'Although each fantasy world has its own magic system, I will gain some inspiration from watching other fantasy characters.'

Not only in terms of forming attacks, but also to sharpen his brain. Seeing another person's success or failure might help him see his own shortcomings.

He wasn't smart like most novel protagonists, but he knew he was the protagonist of his own life, no matter what happens.

It might sound arrogant, but one day when you are low, start to narrate your life story; won't you be a protagonist then?

You might cry, yet, I want you to know that tears build great men, and sweat builds nations.

Mickey's gaze didn't stay away from the phone with a screen full of cracks.

After watching two episodes, the black-eyed Mickey only watched one episode of an anime he downloaded from an illegal website using his neighbor's WIFI, before moving on to read a novel.

The story he was reading was about a person who practiced evil acts, got chased away by his fellow mates, and ended up killing himself.

Luckily, the man got a second chance and was reborn to the time he was a teenager in the slums. The man was fierce and ruthless to his enemies.

He made sure everything he did wouldn't make him fall into loss, and he would stop at nothing to kill his enemies.

This made Mickey realize something.

"I lack experience..."

He had never dealt with Book Lords before, and he knew there were shrewd snakes out there who would stop at nothing to achieve their goals.

Mickey showed an evil grin.

"I will make my own experience and learn from my mistakes. My mind should be broad and avoid repeating the same mistakes."
