Awakened

"Mythos..." Nero said wiping his sword of its blood. He and Mythos sat in the center of a battlefield of dead Ferals, their first victory.

Mythos, hearing his best general call his name, turned around and placed his leg on a stump, listening intently.

"The way they fight... it's..."

"Barbaric I know, I have no Idea why it is they want to kill us! It's insane! Their is so much bloodlust in their eyes!"

"What could we have possibly done to them to deserve this?"

"Nothing Nero," Mythos said picking up a body of one of his fallen comrades. "They are nothing more than animals"

(Back to present)

"Die!" The boy with dark hair said, digging his finger into Mythos's skull.

"This is my punishment..." Mythos thought. "My punishment from my previous life"

As soon as the boy came within inches of striking the Mythos an image flashed before the boy causing him to stop.

"Maȟpíya?" The boy said falling back. "What was that?

For a moment the boy felt a vibration below him like some kind of earthquake.

"No matter!" He said drawing his claw again. "Die demon child!" He said thrusting his fingers towards Mythos.

"GRAUUU!"

The boy heard from below.

POW!

The boy was knocked onto his stomach by a giant creature with large teeth. It was at least twice the size of the dog that had attack Mythos months ago and much faster and more powerful. It's eyes glowed with a bright blue light that illuminated the area

" A vigris?" The boy said. "Impossible!"

As he turned back to Mythos, he saw his eyes had turned blue as well, almost as if he was tethered to the vigris.

As the boy looked around he began to see dozens more of the blue eyed beasts jump to Mythos's aid until he was surrounded on all sides by them all protecting Mythos.

"Is this..." The boy said. "Your ability? You have already awakened it?"

"What is going on!" Mythos thought. "Why am I being protected by the forest?"

Down below, Gorilla and Redface were still fighting.

"Redface!" Gorilla screamed. "What is the meaning of all these Vigris!"

Redface watched as the Vigris stood around him protecting him from Gorilla advancing any further.

"Wait a minute..." Redface said. "This ability! Isn't this Maȟpíya's..."

"Father!" The boy with dark hair said falling to the ground. "We must leave at once! The boy has awakened his ability and it's a powerful one! We can't fight him in this forest it would practically be suicide!"

"Lizhin!" Redface screamed "What are you doing here!"

"I have no time to quarrel with you Redface" Lizhin said dropping his head. "The Lizhin you knew is dead, and will never return, all I care about is avenging the master! Father let us leave! Before the vestia's get here!"

Lizhin 's hands began to glow with a dark tint. He flashed his hands through the air creating a shroud of darkness that poured over him and in an instant he was gone.

"Mythos!" Redface screamed as he reached the top of the trees. He held him close like he was a parent, generally concerned about his child.

"Who would of guessed that you would awaken now! And with Maȟpíya's abality of all things!" Redface said smiling.

Mythos looked back at Redface with a confused look.

"Awakened? What is he talking about?" Mythos said.

"Ahh my boy, you see, every feral has an ability's latently within us that we are born with that awakens at some point in our lives. It seems you have inherited Maȟpíya's battle cry! It is a power that allows those who have heard the sound of his cry to rally behind him and become stronger."

"I see!" Mythos thought, "I got that annoying ability's Maȟpíya used so many times against us! If I can just figure out how to do my magic... I will become unstoppable in this body!"

"Well, the purpose of bringing you here was to survive, so for the remainder of this time you cannot use this ability's, you must interact with the jungle in ways a normal feral would is that understood?"

Mythos nodded his head in agreement and then quietly went back into Redface's pack on his back.

"Why did I speak to him like this..." Redface thougt. "He's just a baby, but for some reason, I felt like he understood me."

As he began trekking through the forest he spoke to Mythos one last time. "For the next four years you will watch me closely, learning how I move, eat and sleep, and then it will be time for you to learn to do it yourself" Redface said.

"Excellent!" Mythos thought. "That gives me plenty of time to figure out how to use magic! And how this body works! By the time I am four I'll be as strong as Redface!" He thought.

"There's just one thing..." Mythos thought. "That boy, Lizhin... his hatred... it's only going to grow! I need to do something about him before he becomes another Nero! I won't let an innocent person become evil ever again!"

(Outside of the forest)

"Lizhin, what are you doing, it's late you should go to bed" Gorilla said.

"No father, I'm training" He answered

"Training? For what? You have already passed the Zalzi contest and you are our highest ranked warrior! What else do you want to train for?"

"That kid" Lizhin said. "In then years when he comes out of that Jungle I will kill him! I'm going to tell everyone in town about today! We will all train! And when he returns he will become an outcast! No mercy for anyone affiliated with a human! Even with a name! That is how I will rule this village when I become Cheiftan!" He screamed.
