The Power of Trust

Shiro's House – Early Morning

I stood in the stillness of my living room, staring out the window at the city. The first light of dawn was creeping over the horizon, but the world was quiet. Today was the day. I had been holding back for too long, keeping too many secrets from people who trusted me, and that wasn't something I could afford anymore. There were parts of me that could stay hidden, like the origins of my powers and the chat group. But the rest? I couldn't keep that from them. Not if I wanted to stand by their side when things got worse.

I glanced at the two objects laid out on the table beside me: Kyōka Suigetsu and the Star of Eden. Two representations of the power I carried, but neither of them were what truly defined me. Those were just tools, gifts that came with the roles I had taken on. My real power was far deeper—being a Shinigami and the Herrscher.

How would they react? Would they fear me? Or would they accept it? Either way, I needed to trust them.

I pulled out my phone and began typing a message to the only people I could rely on to understand this burden.

---

Sh: I need to talk to you all. Meet me in Nezu's office before school starts. It's important.

---

I slid my phone back into my pocket and took a deep breath. There was no turning back now. I grabbed Kyōka Suigetsu, sliding it into its sheath, and placed the Star of Eden into my jacket. These would help make my point clear.

Nezu's Office – One Hour Later

The room was still as I stepped in. Nezu was sitting behind his desk, sipping his tea. His eyes flickered with curiosity as I approached. He knew this wasn't just another meeting.

The others arrived one by one—All Might, Aizawa, Midnight, Present Mic, Vlad King, Recovery Girl, and finally, Naomasa. All eyes were on me, a mix of confusion and expectation in their gazes.

Nezu gave a nod of encouragement, signaling for me to begin. I took a deep breath.

"Thanks for coming," I began, standing at the front of the room. "I know this is a bit sudden, but I need to tell you all something important. Something I've been keeping from you."

There was a flicker of tension in the room as I unsheathed Kyōka Suigetsu, letting the blade catch the light. I held it steady in front of me, and before anyone could react, I activated its power.

"This is one of the powers I've kept hidden," I said, meeting their eyes. "You're all currently under its influence. Kyōka Suigetsu has the power to control all five senses, putting anyone who sees it under a perfect illusion."

I glanced around the room, noting how Aizawa's eyes narrowed slightly, a sign of suspicion.

"An illusion?" Aizawa asked, his voice low and sharp. "Then how can we trust anything you say?"

"You don't have to. But this is just one of many abilities I possess," I said, lowering the blade. "Kyōka Suigetsu is a tool which helps me control my Shinigami Powers. The same goes for this."

I reached into my jacket and pulled out the Star of Eden. A soft blue glow filled the room, and I felt the gravitational pull shift as the air became heavier.

"This is the Star of Eden, a relic that grants me control over gravity itself. I can manipulate space, create black holes, or even alter the flow of time for a brief moment. It also helps me control my Herrscher Power."

I raised my hand, and a small black orb—dense and compact—formed in my palm. It was a miniature black hole, swirling with raw gravitational power. The room's atmosphere grew heavier as the others stared, realizing the sheer scale of the power in front of them.

Aizawa finally spoke, his voice low and measured. "Shinigami? Herrscher? You're saying you have two entirely different sets of abilities or are these something else?"

"A Shinigami is someone who can interact with spirits, control souls, and access abilities that deal with death and the afterlife. Meanwhile, as a Herrscher of Reason, I can manipulate matter, control advanced machinery, and alter environments based on pure logic and calculation."

Everyone in the room looked stunned, especially Vlad and Present Mic, who exchanged nervous glances. Even Nezu's usual calm demeanor faltered, his eyes narrowing in thought.

Recovery Girl, was the first to break the speak. "And you've kept this hidden from us... because?"

"Because I wasn't ready for this kind of attention," I admitted. "Having powers like mine... it comes with a lot of risks. And I didn't want to reveal everything until I knew you were ready to hear it."

I turned to All Might, who was watching me closely. I could see the questions burning in his eyes, the concern for the future.

"You've been struggling with your injuries for a long time," I said, meeting his gaze. "I can help you with that."

All Might's eyes widened. "What do you mean?"

"I mean I can heal you," I said, stepping closer. "I can reconstruct your damaged organs and tissues, make you whole again. This is one of the abilities that comes with being the Herrscher of Reason."

Recovery Girl blinked in surprise, her expression unreadable. "Reconstruction of organs? That's… not something someone without a regeneration Quirk can do."

All Might's voice was tight. "Is that really possible?"

I nodded. "Yes. I can create anything, as long as I understand how it works. It's a power that allows me to manifest and reconstruct technology, biological systems, anything. I can fix what's been broken inside you."

The room fell silent, the weight of what I said settling over everyone.

Aizawa, broke the silence. "So you're saying you're not a person with a Quirk?"

I shook my head. "No. I'm not. I'm a Shinigami while also being a Herrscher."

Naomasa's sharp gaze cut through the air. "And this power… you weren't born with it, were you?"

I met his gaze evenly. "No. I wasn't. But these powers are a part of me now. I gained them through… unique circumstances. I didn't steal them nor did I hurt anyone to get them."

Naomasa leaned back, considering my words. His Quirk wasn't picking up any lies, but I could tell he still had questions. He wouldn't push further, though.

All Might was still staring at me, his hand drifting to his side, where his old injury lay. "If you really can heal me…" he said quietly, his voice filled with hope, "why didn't you offer this earlier?"

I sighed. "Because I wasn't sure if it was the right thing to do. Healing you would bring attention. People would ask questions—questions I couldn't answer. And I didn't want to risk that, not while so much was still uncertain."

"But you're offering now," Midnight chimed in, her voice soft. "Why?"

"Because things are about to get worse," I said, my tone serious. "There are threats coming—bigger than anything we've faced so far. I can't keep holding back if we're going to face them together. I trust you all, and it's time I stop pretending I'm something I'm not."

Present Mic leaned forward, tapping his chin. "So, you're like... a super-spiritual being with tech-creating powers? And this whole time, you've just been holding back because you didn't want to freak us out?"

I gave a half-smile. "Something like that."

Vlad King crossed his arms. "And you really think you can heal All Might? No offense, but this sounds like something out of a sci-fi movie."

"I know it sounds impossible, but I can do it. The Herrscher of Reason allows me to understand and create complex systems. I've spent years mastering it. Healing All Might is possible."

The room went quiet again as everyone processed my words.

Finally, Nezu spoke, his voice calm and composed. "Shiro, you've given us a lot to think about. Your trust means a great deal, and I believe I speak for everyone when I say that we'll keep this between us. But you must understand the weight of what you've revealed."

I nodded. "I do. And I'm ready to face whatever comes next."

All Might slowly rose to his feet, his eyes locked on mine. "If you're serious about this, then… I'll accept your help. I've spent too long fighting with half my strength. If you can really heal me… then let's do it."

A small smile crept across my face. "I'll prepare everything. It won't be easy, but I promise you, All Might—after this, you'll be whole again."
