Chapter 2 Werewolf dream

~Dani~

Dani arrived at her apartment late in the night. It hurts a little that no one was expecting her at home, of course she has a family but their over protectiveness was too much that she didn't have any sense of freedom so she decided to be independent since she attained the age of eighteen, years ago. Her father didn't support this, saying that she was putting the whole family in danger as she was the only heir, and she could be in danger because of her wealthy background. But despite all these, Dani tried to ignore their 'buts' and only made it clear to them that she wanted freedom, which they granted. But despite their approval, Dani was sure that her father sent some of his men to secretly watch and protect her from any form of danger.

Dani opened the door to her apartment and walked in, she weakly threw her bag on one of the sofas and removed her black short heels. She slumped down onto the sofa and raised her hand to check the time on her phone.

"Three minutes after eleven" Dani mumbled until something popped into her mind. Her favorite TV show as started, she was excited as she sat up but immediately she took the remote to put on the TV the excitement on her face died down and she dropped the remote. Dani had to wake up early by 4:30am tomorrow, and thinking of the alarm that wouldn't wake her up made her frown because no matter the type of alarm she bought or how loud they could be it wouldn't wake her up. So she had to sleep early to wake up early. She walked into her bedroom to the bathroom to take a shower, and when she was done she carried her bag and brought out the dinner she bought on her way home from her place of work. After she was done eating she brought out her phone and decided to chat with her old high school friend for some minutes when her daily horoscope reminder popped on the screen. Right!, she had to check this one, she clicked on her zodiac sign and began reading her horoscope for the day since she forgot to read it in the morning. She tried to deduce what message it was passing to her saying that she should not stop showing what she can do or not to think of it as a small talent.

Dani checked the website she wrote one of her stories recently, she just finished writing a fictional novel. She thought of writing a type of fictional novel she hasn't written before. Writing novels to earn money was one of Dani's part time job, she thought of it as an alternative since she was good at it even though she isn't that perfect like some other pro writers. The time she wrote her first novel, some readers encouraged her by telling her that they loved every bit of the story, so she even joined online writing class whenever she was less busy. She was not able to write much chapters because of her work, but once she has some free time especially weekends she spends all of it writing plenty of chapters.

After thinking of the type of novel she should write, she decided to write a werewolf based story. She went to her workspace in the site and created a new story which she name WEREWOLF PRINCE, Dani closed her laptop after shutting it down. She changed into her pyjama and tidy up her room before laying on her bed to sleep, It didn't take long before she drifted to the Dreamland.

Somewhere in a forest,

Dani woke up feeling a slight headache, feeling the harshly cold breeze and the rough surface beneath her skin she jumped up. What!, what happened she was sleeping in her room last night, how did she reach here and what was this place, Dani thought as she wrapped her armed around herself because of the intensity of the cold weather. Feeling perplexed and scared Dani began to look around her, there is no forest near the city for her to think that the sleepwalked.

'Or maybe I am still sleeping, and I am dreaming' Dani thought, but she still couldn't believe in her conclusion because she feeling feeling the cold weather skin to skin as if she exposed her body to the air, but she was still in her pyjama.

"Who are you?" a dark and chilling voice that sent shivers down her spine was heard in the cold dark forest. Dani looked back and saw a tall muscular and pale-looking man in a black cloak in front of her, Dani couldn't help but gape at the man who just suddenly appeared out of nowhere. Even though he was a few meters away from her, she could still see his facial features. He looked so unbelievably breathtaking and even the falling snowflakes made him look so surreal. She just stood there frozen not because of the weather but because of this man before her, she couldn't take her eyes off him. If this was truly a dream, she would pray for it to last long.

"Didn't you hear me. Or are you a dumb" He said walking closer to her and paused when he saw her clearly.

Dani couldn't talk, she didn't know whether words got stuck in her throat or she was speechless.

"Human" He mumbled and then pinched the skin between his brows. Dani was brought back to present when she heard him utter the word 'human', there was some kind of displeasure in his tone.

"Why should a weak human like you be out here alone in the dark forest meant for people like us. Did you get lost, where is your family?" He asked her. Dani only sensed care in his words, not his expression.

"Why do you keep calling me human, what are you?" Dani asked him, and the man could only chuckle darkly at her words.

'So she doesn't know, no wonder she is still standing right here because if she know she would be running for her dear life' The man thought.

"Run,now. Go back to your family, before this man here make you his supper" He said, Dani could sense the blazing cold aura emitting from him despite weather.

"Run?, where should I run to when I don't even know how I got here" Dani said looking at his fierce eyes.

"You don't know how you got here?" he asked her and she replied with a nod. His gaze sharpened at her as if trying to scrutinize something before his gaze travelled from her head to toe. He took her left hand and look at it, Dani didn't know the reason for his action so she also looked at what he was looking at on her hand, and then she found a square shaped tattoo on her hand, Dani heard him smirk and she wondered what he was thinking. Wait how did she even get a tattoo, she does not have one before. The man let go of her hand and without hurrying, the man left without a word.
