I can't believe it was just a dream but unfortunately, it did not happen I might not be able to forgive myself because Sapphire was doomed maybe I will blame myself because of what happened to her. But why I dream that if it wasn't gonna happen? I thought all my dreams can be real? Does it mean not all my dreams are real? How come?
While I'm thinking that I felt that Terrence woke up. "good morning" he said in a poor voice. I greet him back. And I decided to go out to our tent to greet Hannah and Michelle.
Hannah and Michelle went out in their tent and I greet them, and it seems like Hannah is so happy today I wonder what it was?
The professor called us students and he said that tomorrow morning we will be back in our town. We have plenty of time before going home so the four of us talked to have a little conversation before we leave in the forest.
"I heard there will be a meteor shower later, let us watch it together," Michelle spoke.
"Yeah, I heard that too. Let's watch it Philip I know you will love it" Hannah replied with a smile on her face.
"uhh.. sure" I respond. So that is why Hannah is so happy when she greeted us. Suddenly Hannah thinks that I was unease today so she asked me. "hey, you okay?" she said in a worried tone.
"I'm okay, don't worry about me. it's just nothing." I replied. "we should get ready before the meteor starts" I added. Then she smiled and she hugs me that shocks me. "hey if you have a problem please don't keep it yourself we're here for you, to help you. We're you're friends right?" she said. I smiled back as if I answer her with my smile.
After that prof says that we should pack our things for tomorrow morning we will be headed to our town because our camping trip has finally ended. I and Terrence are now packing our baggage to put it inside the bus the girls did too. We've got a lot of memories when we are here on our camping trip and I must say that this will make our friendship stronger.
We ate breakfast and lunch because the girls cooked our food with the help of our prof. Because Prof brought bunches of raw foods to cook for our breakfast and lunch we had so much fun while eating. And we still have plenty of time before the night comes in.
*************************************
The night is finally here after we ate dinner all students and Prof headed to the grassy areas that were not surrounded by trees and we are now watching the stars if what time the meteor starts. Michelle and Hannah were between Terrence and me while lying on the grass, looking up in the sky. Beside me is Hannah and Michelle beside Terrence.
I looked up in the sky as if I remembered something, I remember the last time we went outer space was something caught my eye. That must be the meteor, it was so shiny that time so I just ignored it. Maybe it is a meteor and I can't wait to watch it now.
"hey, what are you thinking?" Hannah said, then her gaze turn into me. I looked at her before I turn my gaze into the stars again.
"When we were in outer space I remember that I saw a glint of something that I don't know what it is. Maybe it is the meteor, it was so shiny when you called me so I just ignore that thought thinking that it must be it" I said.
"do you think what you saw is just a meteor?" she asked.
"I think, yeah it is a meteor it shines so bright. But I never saw anything like that before. I mean this will be my first time I'm watching the meteor, when I was young I dream that I and my family would watch this together but sadly they're not here anymore they're gone before it happens" I replied in a sad tone.
"even if your parents not here anymore, we're now your new family. Your dream still came true even if we're not related by blood but our hearts could tell that we are now one" she said. I looked at her with a glint of sadness, she hugged me so I hugged her back. Maybe I feel lonely when both my parents not here anymore, but now I can say that I got new friends and family this is the best thing that happened in my life. I won't let anything harm her, I will protect her even if my life becomes a substitute, I will save her as much as I can. After that, we both smile and look up again to the sky to see if there are already shooting stars.
Meteors, also known as shooting stars. Those are pieces of dust and debris from space that burn up in Earth's atmosphere, where they can create bright streaks across the night sky. When Earth passes through the dusty trail of a comet or asteroid's orbit, the many streaks of light in the sky are known as a meteor shower. The professor taught us a little lesson about these meteors most meteoroids are made of silicon and oxygen (minerals called silicates) and heavier metals like nickel and iron. Iron and nickel-iron meteoroids are massive and dense, while stony meteoroids are lighter and more fragile than we look.
After that, the meteors are now starting... It was like we were watching a rain with tail-end flows in one direction in the sky. If we looked only using our eyes, it was something like pure bright and until they disappeared. it was so amazing all students are so amazed, Prof brought a telescope to see it more clearly Terrence bring a telescope too he gave each one of us a telescope and then we watch it together with these 2 girls beside us. If you look at it close a meteor is a small rocky or metallic body in outer space. They are significantly smaller than asteroids and range in size from small grains to one-meter-wide objects.
It was so beautiful, Hannah and Michelle were so happy (tears of joy) like this is their first time either watching shooting stars. Others were like taking photos and videos like this are the moment they've been waiting for.
"hey let's take a picture too," Michelle said. And we gladly oblige that we have to get something memorable too. She gets her phone and we take a lot of pictures on it, we shot videos and even Hannah take us a stollen shots we were so happy. I hope Sapphire could see this too. After the meteor ends the Prof tells us to sleep because we are going back to our town tomorrow morning because we will be having a long way before we get there. All of us went to our tent to fall asleep. I will cherish this moment forever in my life.
