Chapter 65: Confrontation on the Castle Grounds

“Be very careful,” Julietta typed back to Vernicia from her cell phone.

Suddenly there was a sound coming from a distance away. It wasn’t Urella and her group.

“What’s that?” Julietta asked herself. “Is it Raine? But he will walk into an ambush if he comes now, even in the form of a wolf. What if those guys have guns? Real guns?” she wondered.

She then heard voices as well and turned around carefully.

“It’s from, the lake’s side,” she commented to herself softly. She went down on her hunches and sat there crouched while she waited for whomever the voices belonged to.

They were definitely getting closer because the sound grew louder. It sounded like more than one male voice at least. Julietta became nervous again.

“Are these Urella’s other accomplices or are they her enemies?” Julietta asked herself. “Or is it perhaps Raine with a group of supporters?” Her heart began to hammer heavily in her chest.

The voices became more discernable. It was definitely two or more men.
