He Says Follow Your Heart

6

Because of the time traveler's words, my gaze always unconsciously fell on Alastair.

He put down the pen, stood up, and sat beside me. "Why are you always looking at me?"

"I am not." I lowered my head, pretending to do my homework. But I felt that I was a terrible liar. I decided to look up and meet his eyes. "Alastair, what did I say to you that day?"

He hesitated for a moment and then took my pen in his hand to twiddle it.

"You said you had liked me for a long time and asked me to be your boyfriend." Alastair lowered his eyelids and looked at the pen in his hand. "You also said something about me being the hero and revealed many of my preferences and secrets that I hadn't told anyone else."

"Could it be that Alastair is really the hero of a novel?" I wondered.

I was utterly confused. I only came back to my senses when Alastair waved his hand in front of me.

"What else did I say to you?"

"It was not you, right?"
