WE ARE EVERYTHING

We humans strive for a perfect relationship with the person we love the most. We give our soul in every part of it. As a child, as a friend, as a lover, as a partner and as a parent. But every relationship we are in, always tests us, whether we are capable of it or not. What if we give up?

Jai sat there on the couch, awestruck by Shanthi's beauty. She gracefully walked down the stairs.

This is the beauty of arranged marriages, where we see a perfectly ending gap between not knowing each other to being in each others arms. Developing a sort of life long love towards each other.

" your house looks great,"  jai sat down relaxed tapping his feet.

" thank you,"  shanthi nervously looked down, gripping the corner of her saree.

" you look nervous, wanna say something," he paused, " or you don't want to marry."

She nodded her head. Shanthi wouldn't anyways say 'no' to him, because of her father.

" it's nothing like that," she bitted her lower lip.

" I don't know if you like me or not, but at least you can trust me as a friend," he let out a bright smile.

Trust is something like a mysterious game. Either we gain it in one minute or it takes years to win it.

That move of Jai gave her a lot more interest in him. Maybe it was written for her in that way, that she would fall for a simple man like him.

After that day, they used to meet up sometime or other and spend lots of time talking to each other on phone. Yeah, it's a sign of new relationship. Finally they are engaged into a new tie.

" here you go, my lady," he asked for her hand.

Her lips curved into a beautiful smile and let her hand out. Jai kneeled down and put the ring.

They exchanged rings and the crowd broke into a applause.

He bent down to whisper in her ears, " Shanthi, I love you."

They both fell in love with each other.

Marriage is not just a contract between two people or families.

It is a sign of love and care towards each other.

It is a handful of responsibility, not ever to leave them alone.

It is about trust and belief in each other actions.

" stay here, I think brother would be here in any minute,"  Jai's sister made her way out.

Shanthi was so tired. That day was her marriage. After performing all the ceremonies, she couldn't even walk for a distance. Problems of having a Indian marriage. She sat on jai's bed, thinking of their first night together. But she was tired.

" hey, you are here," jai sat next to her.

Silence was everywhere between them. Thought of living together brought a new excitement in both of them. Jai gently placed his arm round her shoulders and pulled her to his side.

" Jai, can I tell something? " she called his name.

" yes," he replied with a hideous smile

" can we go to sleep? I'm really tired," she said moving even closer to him.

" I was thinking the same," he laughed.

Being in one's arms is the most safest place in this world. That feeling will  give you the strength to conquer the entire universe

Things were going out really good between their relationship.

" why this house looks like a haunted one?" jai stood there beside her dressing table.

" yeah, everyone are haunted by you," she chuckled.

" I think we two can have some alone time," jai moved forward to reach her.

" I'm not allowing you to touch me," she pulled back laughing. She ran out of the room.

" I can run fast, "  he tried to catch her. They played running around the house, making gestures of naughtiness and laughing. Jai stopped, gripping the end of her saree, pulling her towards him. They fell on to the nearby couch one above the other.

" you are cheating, you are stronger than me," she started to hit him playfully.

" yeah," he chuckled.

" now release me, I don't want to be in a stranger's arms for this long," she tried to push past him, but he pulled her back on to his chest.

" I'm your husband," he pushed a strand of her hair behind her ear. He looked into her eyes and down to her lips. He pulled her close to lock his lips on to hers.

That's the feeling when the world stops and they could stay there forever.

" this is Rahya," jai bent down to shake his hands. The little girl was reluctant to shake her hands.

" why is she crying?" he cupped the little girl's face in his hands.

" today is parents day and we have a programme for that in our school. I don't want to go to school. I want my parents. Uncle, do you know my mom and dad?" rahya burst into tears.

Rahya was a orphan. She was taken into the organization which Shanthi owned and she was 7yrs old.

" I don't know them, but I can come to your school. You can call me dad. And we can play barbie game together," he held her hands.

" okay, we will find a prince for my barbie," he caried her in his arms.

That day Jai really acted like a father. He sat in her classroom. He attended the PTA and also played with her.

" you like kids ahh,"  Shanthi punched his arm playfully.

" I love them," he smiled.

It is that we can do anything for that cute smile on others face.

But things in lives won't be that simpler everytime. We enjoy a happy time in the beginning because life takes its time to put us in trouble.

That day when Jai returned home a day before from a long business trip, just to surprise his wife. He got a equal amount of shock by seeing a letter written for him.

" Jai, I am leaving somewhere, I don't know where I'm going. I can't take this relationship anymore. Don't try to find me."

                                   ~Shanthi

Jai collapsed there onto the floor, speechless...

What is the reason Shanthi left him?

Will Jai be able to find her?
