The next morning, Amelia had an irritable

look on her face, she aggressively rubbed her eyes and yawned

"Why do you have to wake me up so early," Amelia said as she snorted "Do I look like I need any type of exercise"

"Aunt, Gege and I go for exercise every morning and it is not bad.it is quite fun, you'll get used to it after a couple of days" Qiao Qiao was dressed in casual sporty wear giving off a cute and vibrant energy

"As if I'll go every day" Amelia quietly muttered under her breath which Zetian clearly heard but pretended not to

As the two started their running, Amelia feeling weary and sluggish cursed under her breath. She joined them with a frustrated look. The thought of waking up every day early was the last thing she wanted to do.

Halfway through the run, Amelia slumped on a nearby bench and complained, "Because I haven't had breakfast, I'm so hungry my stomach is roaring… See Qiao Qiao has run out of energy too"

The distance was overall not far, in actual fact, they were still in the Ze household.

The Ze household's estate was like something out of a fairytale. The place exuded a regal ambience, with huge gardens where exercise could easily be done.

As Grandma Ze was pretty fond of artefacts, The household was carefully decorated, At the entrance stood two sculpted lions, facing each other with pride and majesty. The lions' bodies were wrought from solid gold, shimmering in the sunlight.

"Qiao Qiao is fine, Get up I still have things to do"

Zetian answered, still having his usual blank expression on his face he continued his run

Zetian ran with ease, his body fluid with every step. He was dressed in black, a dark shade that highlighted his muscular build. As he ran beside Amelia, she could see the muscles in his arms and the sweat beading on his skin in the heat, he maintained a neutral expression not showing any signs of exertion.

Although she tried not to show it, Amelia was in awe of Zetian's attractiveness. She pursed her lips and snorted. She sluggish stood up from the bench then joined in on the run

A few moments later, Amelia couldn't take it. She whined, "I don't care, I can't run any further. I want to eat fried dough sticks"

"Aunt we're almost back home, look" Qiao Qioa chipped in some encouragement

Seeing the little distance, Amelia cheered and started chanting food to fuel her determination.

"Hot steamed stuffed buns"

"Fresh soy Milk"

"Ah fried dough stick"

She sang songs about food all the way back to the Ze's household

Zetian did not seem to mind much as he just continued his run

"Nanny Rong! we're back" Amelia yelled

"Welcome back Miss Amelia. You must be hungry, breakfast is ready" Nanny Rong said

Amelia dramatically sniffed, "Only you love me the most"

Nanny Rong chuckled at her behaviour, She quite liked this young lady a lot, Considering she even watched her grow up.

"Sir, Mr Ze called home, He said he's coming back today" Nanny Rong added, "His flight is landing by 2:00 pm"

Zetian nodded, He picked up a glass of water and took it in a gulp. He went into his room and changed into a work suit, Coming back into the room he saw Amelia wolfing down the food as if she had been starved for months "Alright, I'm going to work, we'll pick him up after"

"Alright Sir, You should get going" Nanny Rong replied, She nudged Amelia to remind her to get ready, "Hey, Sir is leaving"

Amelia looked up and cluelessly glanced around, "Oh he's leaving? Have a great day at work then"

Nanny Rong Chuckled at her reply, "Silly, have you forgotten, You're going too, that Mrs Chi's orders "

"What!" Amelia yelled with a mouthful of bread

Zetian shut his eyes, He massaged the space between his brows then he let out a sigh, "I always thought you were just faking it, but I was wrong. You're naturally this moronic." he said

Anger bubbled up inside her and she hollered,

"Damn you, who are you calling moronic, Say that again and see if I won't bash you up"

"Not only are you stupid you're also now a thug, I don't know how you expect to get a Man when you're a rogue tsk" Zetian clicked his tongue and shot her a look of pity

Amelia snorted and instinctively retorted without giving a second thought, " Stupid thug, Who told you I don't have a man!"

Zetian shifted his dark eyes to another place, no longer gazing at her, He felt quite uncomfortable at her last words and he couldn't seem to figure out the reason.

"Let's go"

Still not having had enough of her fill, Amelia immediately protested, "Hold on, Let me eat"

Zetian absentmindedly grunted out a reply, just then Qiao Qiao came out holding a phone,

"Brother Zetian, I'm ready, also Brother Han is calling you"

Zetian collected the phone and left the room.

Soon after, he came back seeming annoyed as he impatiently rubbed the space between his brows

"Brother Han wants to come over again?" Qiao Qiao asked with certainty

Amelia immediately jumped off the seat, "Damnnn what does he want!" A look of disdain flashed across her face, "Tell him to not come over unless he's coming with my money"

Zetian simply adjusted his Tye then buttoned up the last one.

"Hurry up, I'm going to be late for school" Qiao Qiao anxiously requested

Amelia pushed her mouth forward, She reluctantly washed up and picked up her handbag not

An elderly-looking man was working in the garden, Watering the flowers, Footsteps of children running around could be heard. The old man finished watering the can and dropped it, He walked over to a bench and rested on it

"Dad, You were looking for me?" Liang Jiayi rushed over, She panted heavily seemingly out of breath

Liang Sun nodded, "Yes, This way"

They left the garden and went into a quiet side of the garden, People hardly go there.

"Listen carefully here, Jiayi. Evelyn Cole will come here soon. Under no circumstances should she be allowed into Liánhuā town"

Liang Jiayi was confused, "What do you mean Dad, What are you saying? why shouldn't Evelyn be allowed in the town she grew up in and also why is it coming from you? What do you mean?"

Liang Sun's expression hardened, " Just do as I say okay, allowing her entry could cost us more than you know, it is a risk you cant afford to take."

"Dad! What risk are you talking about ?! " Jiayi anxiously added

"Jiayi, listen to Dad, I can't tell you anything more.Dad wont hurt you, you know that,Just do what I say" Liang Sun commanded, "She is a danger" he silently muttered before walking away

Liang Jiayi stood in the field of flowers, She didn't know how to feel, or what was going on. Suddenly she heard soft footsteps, turning back she saw Hunter.

Hunter was the assistant Liang Sun hired when she was 13 years old, Basically, he was her childhood friend and they spent years together and he still works for her now that she is an adult. Although she quite felt his despisement towards her over the years. She dont know how or why but she started to feel his hatred towards her

"Miss, Your medicine," Hunter said softly, his voice cold and deep as if there was no soul inside his shell

Jiayi felt some sort of disappointment, "are you okay? " she asked

Hunter glanced at her for some seconds then his expression hardened, "Yeah, I'm just tired that's all" he answered still no smile on his face and with a distant expression.

"Sure? Because these past years, you..Y-you seemed to have… changed"

"Changed?" Hunter repeated

"Yes, You don't feel like the little Hunter I grew up with, You seem… distant and cold towards me, Do you hate me?"

Hearing her words, Hunter's hands slightly trembled. He felt a surge of anger, then a blazing light flashed across his eyes, and his expression began to harden, "Look, I hate that I have to protect you but I have no choice. I made a promise, and I'm fulfilling it. I want nothing to do with you to begin with, So please don't bother me unless it is important" He yelled.

"Oh, I'm sorry"

Hunter sighed in annoyance, he glanced at Liang Jiayi with a slight contempt in his eyes, "it doesn't matter" He said coldly and turned away.

"Where are you going?"

Hunter didn't answer for quite a while, He stood motionlessly, A few seconds later he answered,

"To practice"

Liang Jiayi Quickly walked over "Wait don't go, let practice together"

Hunter didn't react to her request, he simply moved his legs and walked out of the garden, Jiayi quickly followed behind.

Hunter went into the practice room, sat down on the opposite side then picked up a dagger and began to sharpen it, Jiayi came in after

"Can I have one?" She asked

Hunter's head turned to look at her, he was about to say no, but then paused, He stared at her then dropped his head low and continued sharpening his dagger.few moments later, he answered softly and Stood up, "Suit yourself"

"Can we spar?" She asked only to be met with silence, Liang jiayi felt awkward but proceeded to ask again

"How do you sharpen your dagger?" She asked, but was met with more silence

"What was the reason you learned how to fight at a young age"

More silence

Liang Jiayi sighed, She lifted her head and peered at him, "Why do you hate me?"

Hunter also looked down, his eyes boring into hers, "I do not hate you" he answered, his voice cold, he then continued, His expression growing increasingly hateful, "I hate that I had to be your servant without a choice, I hated the fact that I had to give up my dream."

Jiayi's eyes were glossy, she gaped up looking stupified, "Servant? I never thought of you as one"

Hunter chuckled softly, His eyes growing darker, "Sure you didn't," he aimed the dagger at a dummy and it landed accurately on the forehead, "That all doesn't matter anymore heh. Your dad is planning on causing chaos in Liánhuā town again, that's what that old man is good at, Ruining Families"

Liang Jiayi furrowed her brows and snapped angrily, "What do you mean!"

Hunter simply shrugged, "Forget it, Not that my words hold any weight, it's quite pitiful don't you think? Not to you, I mean to Evelyn"

"Evelyn?" Liang Jiayi repeated, She recalled what Liang Sun said a moment ago, "Hunter! Tell me, what do you know? "

Hunter's eyes glinted, He threw another dagger accurately hitting the spot again, "I'm not in the place to tell you, Afterall I'm just a mere servant. I won't risk getting mercenaries after me. Please leave, I have to practice"

Liang Jiayi felt a heartache, why does she have a feeling something big was about to go down.thats wasnt all, she felt not only was something about to go down but only she was capable of stopping it, But she didnt even know what it was!

"Oh… okay then, I'll check on the children" Liang Jiayi answered softly, she was about to walk out of the oractice room but she couldnt help but turn back. She paused and stare at the figure holding a dagger, "Hunter… i-if i'll be the reason to the death of any family this year, i want you to tell me honestly. Am i?"

Liang Jiayi asked, She wasnt clueless, She was not that stupid enough not to know the involvement of the various leaders in this town causing death of multiple family every year.She never had suspicions against her father

Hunter heard her question, he paused in his actions for a moment, but the next second continued as if he wasnt the one being talked to.

Liang Jiayi sighed and walked out of the practice room shutting the door behind her. what was she thinking to even ask when she knows hunter was not going to tell her

As the door closed,Hunter slumped onto the floor. He quietly stared at the tightly shut door, his blonde hair covering half of his face,

"You are not" he muttered
