One Threat Neutralized

"Kill me... HUMAN!" Ordan spoke in a tattered voice. "End... me..."

Scias, whom held his ground before, now ready to put an end to the beast. He made a decision to use his rare skill…

“Sword Art… All Ends In Peace…”

In pain, Ordan witnessed a dim light coming from Scias' blade. That… is the last thing he ever saw… before he died… No blood comes out from him, while Scias is already beside him sheathing his sword back.

Scias closed his eyes while facing downwards. "Unlike other Green Minotaurs... who d-died tragically in pain... but you..." Scias begins to move away from the corpse. Scias' sword art caused Ordan's body to return back to normal condition... but his body is now nothing more... than an empty vessel, lying against a big rock behind it.

Ordan has died.

[Scias' Sword Art - All Ends In Peace] is the rarest skill that Scias will ever use in battle. It takes away his opponent's soul softly while recovering their body injuries. This skill requires an incapacitated opponent, and is greatly dependant on the user's sense of mercy towards their opponent. Scias, however, has second to none sense of mercy. But when he did, it could only mean that Scias found an understanding towards his opponent, thus making him merciful.

"You only... want to sever the never ending suffer that you feel all this t-time...” Scias pitifully said. “You're no different at all... only seeking peace,” he added as he walks further from the dead Minotaur.

“…but your lust for vengeance has consumed y-you... unfortunately,”

“…farewell, Ordan. You're a hero to your own kind… but a potential threat to us, humans. A misunderstanding that I felt rather ironical,"

—and with that, Scias leaves the dead Ordan.

Scias comes to the place where he put Marco, Nina, and Aily.

"Heh… you never change, eh, M-Marco?” he muttered.

“Fighting against a b-beast instead of escaping... you never cease to give up, eh...?" Scias ducked and used his remaining potion on Marco's party.

A few minutes later, the Knight Captain's forces and the mercenary team arrived on scene. “Oiiii! Scias!” a barbed-armor mercenary called as they approached him.

"Sir Scias! Are you alright, sir?" The Knight Captain asked as he rushed near Scias, followed by five of his men equipped with lances.

"Huh… what do you think? Do I look d-damaged to y-you?" Scias retorted.

"Oh… a-ahem! I see. You're OK, glad to know...” the knight captain felt awkward. He then noticed a monster’s corpse, “i-is that?" the knight captain saw the lying Minotaur corpse. "Evan, Simon, inspect it, quick!" he commanded two knights to check the corpse.

"Yes, sir!"

It doesn’t take more than a minute to find out who it was.

"It's Ordan... he's dead, sir," the two confirmed.

"Oh, good gracious... w-we were late in coming here sooner..." The knight captain sighed. He then looked at Scias. "Is this the reason for you going the opposite way, Sir Scias?" He asked seriously.

But Scias d-didn't bother replying. He believed an expert strategist like the knight captain can easily tell what’s going on. He thought that why bother asking a low-level mercenary like him?

"Please. Sir Scias,” the knight captain begged.

A short silence, then Scias decided to confirm it… by simply nodding.

When entering the forest labyrinth and about to enter the swamp area. Scias separated himself from the captain's forces and went off on his own towards the opposite way. He had a hunch that the beast wouldn't stood still all the time, knowing that he's no normal beast that could talk to people and he could cast magic. Scias thought of choking the beast's route would be a good idea if he were to catch him head on.

Amidst his rogue-planning, he decided to move faster after he spotted a large typhoon followed by a lightning strike and ended up in a massive explosion. He just knew too well the only crazy madman that would do such thing in the middle of a forest.

Scias knew that Ordan couldn't detect his presence since he had Magic Concealment skill to move around without having his Mana Energy detected by mana sensors. Scias originally didn't expect the beast to have mana-sensing ability since he’s not too familiar with the Forest Labyrinth. Being unfamiliar with the forest also made him random-picked his path and ended up on a road that leads directly behind Ordan. That's when he thought as the best chance to end a major threat right away.

“Marco and his friends... he came here, too. Retarded vassals… him and his friends are the type of person that worries too m-much,” he thought as he bandages over Marco and the two girls.

Right now, the knight captain just issued a command to secure the area. The soldiers covered Ordan's corpse with a thick blanket.

"M-Marco fought hard to the very end..." Scias spoke with a lie to the knight captain. He actually never knew how Marco and his friends fought against the beast. Scias is just trying to cover up the trouble that Marco caused.

“Hey, hey, Scias!” a girl mercenary with a halberd called, Scias looked to her with reluctance.

“You’re super-duper awesome!” she stated.

“You can actually track the beast down, huh?” another mercenary comes close to him.

“Gotta admit it, dude. You got some neato-skillz!” another mercenary complimented.

Scias looked at them emptily. Little did they know, that Scias just simply random-picked his path to find Ordan. He was lucky to encounter Ordan from behind and just in time. No one knows what’ll happen to Marco and the twins should Scias didn’t encounter Ordan.
