Mystic Tier?

"Next up, Long Yang."

Long Yang stepped up to the orb and placed his palm on top. The orb started to glow bright white, brighter than all the others who had gone before him. A halo burst outward from the orb, and then another until there were a total of nine halos floating above the orb.

Gasps of shock echoed out from the audience as they stared on in envy, jealousy, and admiration, "nine halos, the Young Master has awakened a tier 9 Spirit soul!"

Long Li smiled as he looked at the nine halos floating above the orb in front of his son. Suddenly, his eyes widened in shock, his lips quivering as he watched on.

The orb started to glow even brighter than before, the nine halos floating above it slowly getting closer and closer to each other. The halos shone brightly before finally coalescing and becoming one green halo. The orb shone bright green for a second before a cracking sound echoed out in the clan hall.

Cracks appeared all over the orb, spreading until the orb collapsed and crumbled into pieces. The green halo dissipated into specks of light.

Loli stood up with a huge grin on his face, "Aha, hahaha, HAHAHAHAHAHA, MY SON HAS AWAKENED A MYSTIC GRADE SPIRIT SOUL! THE GODS HAVE BLESSED ME!" He rushed forward and gave Long Yang a bear hug, "you've done me proud my son!"

Long Yang smiled, his face blushing as he hugged his father back. His father let go, "see! This is my, Long Li's son!"

The crowd cheered as Long Li patted Long Yang on the back. The old man coughed, "and with this, the Spirit Awakening rites are over! Everyone, please take your leave."

The crowd dispersed as the eight other kids headed towards their parents. All they could talk about was Long Yang and his Mystic grade Spirit soul as they left the main hall. The eight elders stared at Long Yang with bright eyes, praising him before bidding Long Li farewell.

Long Mei smiled as she walked over, "Yang'er, let's have a celebratory meal!" Long Li laughed out loud again, "good idea! I'll take you three to the best restaurant in town, the Flowing Silver restaurant!"

He looked over to Xiao Hong and nodded, "let's go!" Xiao Hong looked flustered but she nodded and smiled. The four walked out of the main hall and headed towards the restaurant.

At the second floor of the restaurant reserved for important guests, four people sat around a table happily eating and conversing. "Another bowl of Iron tusk boar ramen please!"

Long Yang sat at the table stuffing his mouth full of ramen. In front of him were three empty bowls he had finished earlier. Long Li laughed, "that's my son! What a big eater! Haha, eat up some more!"

Long Yang finished his bowl of ramen. He looked at the empty bowl in his hands, a small tear forming at the side of his eye, 'grandma, grandpa.' He shook his head and smiled as the waiter brought another bowl of ramen to the table.

After the meal was over, Long Li reached into the pocket of his robe and pulled out a vial and a book and handed it to Long Yang, "Here, some body refining pills and this cultivation manual. This cultivation manual is a high tier yellow grade cultivation manual that I've found in one of my journeys in my younger days. It's always been with me and is one of the reasons I've reached my position now, here, you can have it."

Long Yang took the manual with shaking hands, he was filled with conflicting emotion. 'This manual seems to mean a lot to my father… but I already have 'Heavenly Dragon's Ascension', I don't need it.' He looked up at his father, Long Li stared at the manual in Long Yang's hands reluctantly.

Long Yang smiled and said with a tinge of guilt, "thank you, dad, I'll put it to good use!" Long Li sighed with relief and smiled.

"Alright, it's about time to leave. Remember, Yang'er, don't get complacent or arrogant just because you have a Mystic Grade spirit soul. Even with it, if you don't work hard, you'll never amount to anything, do you understand?"

Long Yang nodded in response, "I understand." Long Li nodded in approval and called for the waiter to check out. After paying the bill, the four left and returned to the Long clan.
