Nice Ralph.

"Keep driving, Ralph. They don't dare to come close" Theovin said, his voice tinged with annoyance at Ralph's persistence.

Ralph continued to question Theovin, his mind racing with unanswered questions. "But they are demons, Theovin.

Shouldn't we be concerned about their appearance in the human realm? Wasn't the gate supposed to be locked, how did they get out?" Ralph's voice was tinged with frustration.

"You know, if you wake Rosey up, I would skin you alive." Theovin's sharp words effectively shut Ralph up.

The tense atmosphere inside the car was palpable, and the sound of the engine was the only noise that broke the silence as they drove on the tiled highway.

After driving for a few more minutes, they finally arrived at Theovin's manor.

Ralph couldn't help but look back to check if they were still being followed by demons, but to his relief, there was no sign of them.

His relief was short-lived, however, as he noticed Theovin staring at Rosey with a look of love-sickness. 'What the hell was going on with Theovin?' Ralph thought in confusion and disbelief.

"Hey, Theovin, we're almost home. I think I can already smell Theresa's snacks from here!" Ralph exclaimed, trying to break the awkward silence and distract Theovin from his strange behavior.

Ralph called out to Theovin because he was uncomfortable with the way Theovin was looking at Rosey, which made him feel strange.

Theovin's gaze towards Rosey was quite tender, unlike the Theovin Ralph knew.

Suddenly, Theovin turned his head towards Ralph and snapped, "So, you think I don't know, right?"

The car was once again drowned in silence as Ralph and his companion continued to drive without speaking for several minutes.

Soon, Ralph slowed down the vehicle and brought it to a halt in front of a high, black gate.

The sleek and towering black gate stood ominously against the gloomy night and connected to a fence that ran long on both sides, with beautiful, well-tended flowers lining the fence in its wake.

A man in his mid-thirties emerged from a small building that was located behind the imposing gate, as though he had already sensed the arrival of the people in the car.

It was apparent that he was waiting for them, and as he approached the gate, he retrieved a remote from his pocket.

The man seemed to sense a particular energy emanating from one of the individuals in the car, and with a simple press of a button, the gate silently slid open, granting the car entry into the mysterious property beyond.

Ralph drove the car through the now-opened gate, not forgetting to greet the man who had his hand over his left breast in respect to the King he knew was sitting inside the car.

Ralph shouted out to the man by the gate, "Old Kalve! How are your aching bones doing?!" His voice traveled far in the silence of the night, echoing through the stillness.

However, Rosey stirred in her sleep upon hearing the loud noise. Theovin, who noticed this, turned to glare at Ralph disapprovingly.

Kalve chuckled softly and shook his head, "You younglings have no respect for the old anymore. Just know that Theresa would be making no more apple pie for you." he teased warmly, waving his fist playfully at Ralph.

His words were followed by Ralph's loud laughter, which echoed through the still night air.

Despite Theovin's disapproving glare, it was clear that Ralph's jovial personality had a way of lightening the mood in even the most serious of situations.

Kalve and Theresa were a rare pair of Dragons who had left the Dragon realm to settle down in the Human realm.

Despite their youthful appearance, they were much older than they seemed, and Ralph didn't know exactly how old they were.

He only knew that they had been there since the time when Theovin's father took the throne millennia ago.

The couple had stayed together for decades without breaking apart, and were a sweet and loving pair.

Upon learning that their future king would be staying in the human realm for some time, Kalve and Theresa had immediately stepped up to help make his stay comfortable.

While Theresa took care of the household maintenance and cooking, Kalve did other odd jobs like mowing the lawn and acted as a father figure for the sometimes disobedient Ralph.

However, despite his jovial nature, Ralph knew better than to misbehave around Theresa, who had no problem giving him a stern reprimand or an "ass-whooping" if necessary.

In a way, Kalve and Theresa had adopted Ralph as their own and took on the huge task of always keeping him in line and making sure he didn't get himself in trouble with the king.

Their own children were all grown up and scattered across both the Human and Dragon realms.

Theresa had a love for bearing children, and as a result, she and Kalve had a ton of children.

They both knew each of their children by name, but even the king himself did not know exactly how many children Theresa had.

As Ralph's car slowly approached the house, he noticed the large fountain in the middle of the pathway.

The fountain was a beautiful piece of art, depicting a horse rearing up on its hind legs and spewing water from its mouth.

The sound of the water cascading down into the small pool beneath it created a soothing ambiance that made Ralph feel at ease.

Driving past the fountain, Ralph stopped the car in front of a fleet of stairs that led up to the entrance of the house.

Turning off the engine, Ralph took a deep breath of the fresh night air and stepped out of the car. As he stretched his limbs, he couldn't help but feel a sense of contentment wash over him.

"Home sweet home!" Ralph exclaimed, his voice echoing through the still night air. It had been a long day, but he was finally back at the place where he felt most comfortable.

Theovin carefully carried Rosey out of the car and slammed the door shut.

He then made his way to climb the small flight of stairs, but was interrupted by Ralph's voice behind him.

"So, Theovin, what are we going to do with the car? You know it's not ours, and someone would have to return it."

Ralph asked, flinging the car keys in the air and catching them. Theovin, not even bothering to face Ralph, responded,

"Well, since you're so nice, why don't you find the owner and return it to them?"

As he walked away with Rosey in his arms, Theovin fought the urge to slap Ralph on the head.

'Did he just ask me that? Or was he expecting me to be the one to return the car?' he thought.

Ralph murmured to the car while patting it lightly his eyes following Theovin, who had left him behind.

However, it was nighttime, and Ralph said to the car, "But it's nighttime, and I really need to sleep. Maybe tomorrow, I promise I will return you to your owner."
