61 Darien’s Masterpieces

They arrived in the farthest corner of the storage room where two human-sized figures stood, covered in large sheets. There were also some large and small boxes surrounding each figure.

Darien walked over to the first one and pulled the sheet off, "This one's for you Rayna. I call this set, the 'Luminous Moon Arbiter: Wolven Warmonger'!"

On a wooden mannequin, a stunning piece of equipment was displayed in all of its glory. It had a holy knight and Viking vibe which made it feel untouchable and domineering. The armor displayed wasn't heavy like Rayna's defensive style, but more in-between medium and light armor, most likely focusing on defense but with as much mobility as possible. The pearl white plate armor had matte gold rims, miniature runes, and complex inlays covering the armor, creating a menacing angelic and war-like theme to it.

The helmet had a thin vertical golden crystal slit going up the middle that was magically tinted and faintly glowing. Its collar area, shoulders plates, ankles, and wrists had some kind of light beige animal fur that looked like it belonged to a wolf, but more bristled, spiky, and explosive looking, distinctly showing that it belonged to another somewhat similar species. Two pointy wolf ears extended out of the helmet while the same animal fur sprouted from the back of the headpiece like a massive bushy wolf tail that reached down to the armor's thighs.

Resting on the side of each gauntlet were two decent sized, retractable oval shields that stretched from the wrists to a little past the elbows. The fingers were slightly animal-like with subtle claws on the tips but weren't too conspicuous so dexterity wasn't affected. On the toes of the boots were lethal-looking tips that could probably do some damage.

Since it wasn't heavily armored, the mannequin's female themed curves that represented Rayna's figure were quite apparent if he took a closer look. Under and in-between the armor was a magically reinforced, quality, similarly colored beige fabric material which was skin-tight. Both thighs were covered in enough plating that protection wouldn't be a problem, but one could still discern the bombshell curves underneath. The bosom was completely covered in armor, except for just a little on the sides that exposed more skin-tight fabric. These little details increased the appeal of the armor exponentially while still maintaining a superior but refined beastly aura.

Rayna's eyes sparkled as she immediately felt a connection with the equipment. Her slender fingers traced the chest plate and helmet. This was the first time she's ever been given something so personal and exclusive to only her so she was overjoyed!

"Now you're probably wondering why it's not heavy armor. It has a unique ability that allows it to change its form. I did this because I didn't want speed and maneuverability to always be handicapped all the time.

It's currently in warmonger form, which is where the Viking and martial arts classes will shine the brightest. The next is the heavy armor, peacemonger form, which is more suitable for the fortress class and protecting, keeping the peace. If you were a monk, you could also use this form's bulk to your advantage.

There's also a hidden form that I suggest you save as a trump card called the scaremonger. It's titled this because its defensive capabilities are frightening with ridiculously thick armor. I consider it a dreadnought among armor sets! Theoretically, it should be able to handle at least one or two transcendent level attacks on the weaker side. You will sacrifice more than 85% to 95% of your maneuverability, speed, acceleration, and turn-speed along with weapon dexterity."

Other than the form changing ability and a whole bunch of smaller ones, it also received some other unique features that stood out.

For instance, when under the moon, the power and status of the wearer and equipment set will skyrocket depending on how full the moon is. Howling at night will also give it a minor increase to certain attributes while inflicting some fear-related debuffs and status effects indiscriminately to those in earshot.

There was also an overpowered passive aura ability called [Celestial Dominion], which not only makes it so there's a significantly reduced cooldown and practically erases any backlash to spells, skills, and talents relating to [Celestial Impact], but it also released an overbearing aura under the moon's influence that further debuffed enemies and buffs allies. When under the moon, the power and status of the wearer and equipment set will skyrocket depending on how full the moon is. This set of equipment was stuffed full of even more surprises which had the Moon Goddess's name written all over it.

An item's rarity would allow beings of power to give it enhancements so the higher the rarity, the stronger and more perverse the abilities, effects, and stats could potentially be.

Once Darien finished explaining, he walked over to the boxes next to the armor stand and opened them up.

Inside the biggest crate were two considerably large and heavy tower shields that could reach a grown man's chest. From looks alone, the weight must be enough to crush a low grade or regular mortal to death! They were more golden in color than pearl white, unlike the armor. On each shield was a shattered glass mosaic with glowing white veins coursing through it and a molding that resembled a falling meteor.

"These babies are called the 'Legacy Comet Twin Tower Shields' and they're unique as they can also be used for combat besides defense."

What he was referring to were the shields' two main abilities. Once in combat, getting hit or swinging/moving them around would store energy into the shields. As soon as it had enough, the active ability [Celestial Momentum] could be activated and any offensive shield skill such as [Shield Bash] or [Shield Throw] would do far more destructive and blunt damage while the attack speed would be blindingly fast, almost as though it were an actual meteor falling from the heavens. [Celestial Dominion] would of course completely erase the backlash and cut down the cooldown to where it could practically be used back to back. It didn't take long to gain enough charge, especially in tough situations, so it could be a devastating ability for the opposing side.

The other ability was called [Final Bastion] which would form a magical dome with a radius of around two to eight meters. This could be used offensively because allies could fire from within and ramming skills could still be used to crush enemies. It could only be used if the user was in a dire situation, like personal or party health getting too low so it was a last resort.

Inside another box were two one-handed battle axes, which were also apart of the "Legacy Comet" series with practically the same abilities and the same mosaic on the blades. Unlike the shields, they had the ability [Final Siege] which would choose one enemy or a clustered up group and summon multiple mana filled arched-slashes to bombard the target from all angles.

Everything he presented was legendary equipment with exceptional level quality. Even with the three-star Youngling Dragon parts, which were hardly used, the equipment maintained an average of four stars. The main reason why the parts were utilized was that it greatly increased the overall durability.

Moving on after touching on all the essential details, Darien moved onto the second figure under the sheet. When he pulled it off and revealed it, all three of them involuntarily tensed up. Even though he was the creator and he's seen it countless times, he couldn't help but feel the same as the other two.

Completely tyrannical and overbearing was the best way they could describe it...

The armor looked similar to Kyren's draconic-humanoid form in a few ways. Metallic black scales and metal covered it while differing sized purple spikes were placed all over its body. Some were in strategic positions like the knee, shoulders, back, and other areas that could be utilized in combat. On top of the head were two horns that shot out front but curved backward. Faint purple veins with a slight glow traveled on any less thick areas, looking comparable in intensity to Dragon's Anger. A large spherical crystal was embedded into the chest that slightly glowed with magic power. There was nothing like eyes or a mouth on the face, just blank and smooth metal, so it seemed impossible to see out of.

"Th-This is the semi-organic type armor, Draconic Onslaught. Unlike t-the Luminous Moon Arbiter, it's all one piece and not a set... Ugh, this pressure!!" The entire figure was ferociously discharging [Draconic Prestige] as though it were a real-life Youngling Dragon, only it was extremely hostile and untamed, like a monarch looking down on commoners as though they had no right to be in its marvelous presence. Even though a Youngling Draconic aura was far weaker and shouldn't affect an A~grade like him, Darien couldn't help but feel unsettled by his creation, "After I completed Rayna's equipment, it felt like I made a small breakthrough in my forger class and I wanted to try something new and innovative... Both of your human transformation abilities gave me some inspiration to create something that can innately adapt to any organic changes of the wearer."

'...Is this equipment possessed like Serena's dagger? I sense a presence within just like before.'

<Yes and no. It seems as though that this armor wasn't possessed by a spirit, but more like it fabricated an entire soul and personality on its own, albeit weak and faint. This person must have some serious luck to be able to discover the forger talent [Organic Cohesion] at such a novice stage. Usually, this skill would be discovered when one's job proficiency reached ultimate or above.>

Kyren took half a step forward and the pressure exponentially increased while being directed at him, warning him not to come any closer. It seemed as though it didn't approve or see him as worthy.

"*Sigh* If I knew this thing was going to be a pain in the ass every time I try to get near for maintenance, I would've made something more normal."

As though he was unfazed by the pressure, he continued to press forward and placed a hand on the armor, looking at it with a cold glare. The aura it was releasing flickered as an absurd fear and anxiety imprinted itself in the armors still maturing soul. Although its Draconic Prestige wavered, it still stood strong as it's pride wouldn't allow an outsider to tame it.

[Draconic Prestige]

The grip on the armor's shoulders tightened to a frightening level and the seemingly endless durability and from the dragon materials began to plummet. His aura was masterfully controlled so no soul outside of the room could feel it. It was also toned down to the point where it wouldn't be too mentally harmful, but it still inflicted the [Terrified] status effect to everyone including the armor's infant soul. Kyren's diamond-shaped pupils seemed to stare right through the armor as his prestige overpowered its own and it sheepishly backed down.

"That's what I thought..." Kyren opened up the status window of the armor and looked over every detail after letting up on his grip and aura.

Because most of the materials used were three-star dragon parts, it was considerably weaker than the Moon Arbiter which was four-star equipment, with only its durability and abilities being better. Because of this, Darien was able to achieve far better results compared to the Moon Arbiter so other than its legendary rarity, the quality was extreme.

When his eyes landed on a certain ability, they lit up and excitement started flooding into him. This active ability was beyond his greatest imaginations and it made up for the fact that the armor was far weaker than his current self. Without it, the armor would be obsolete at his level.

He turned to Darien and asked him to remove all of the limiters on the armor before walking into a [Gate] to his Personal Dimension, leaving them both confused. All of the equipment he created had some heavy limiting runes and curses on it so that they could be used by weaker individuals. Curses weren't all that bad because they could also be very helpful in situations like these. Once Kyren and Rayna gained enough power, he planned to remove them slowly so they could cope with the added power, after all, both pieces of equipment could overwhelm or mortally harm any below the S~grade that used them.

Darien's whole world was rocked by the aura he felt earlier. Now that he thought about it, he never paid attention to how powerful Kyren got over this short period of time that he hasn't seen him, "He surprises me every time I see him..."
